I'm not even 50 so I probably don't have much room to speak here, but I do play / have played a few other MMOs in my day.

First off, that was hilarious. I almost broke out laughing at my work desk several times :)

But this whole story screams "bots" to me. The fact that they replied at all could have been some very creative scripting, or even more likely they are players who have an "autopilot" engaged while they watch Netflix and eat Cheesy Poofs. I feel like even the noobiest of noobs understands that skills do more damage than just hitting the "swing muh sword" button. That's not even an MMO thing, that's literally any action rpg to come out in the last 2 decades lol.

I'm only laughing because it's not me in the situation. I've had groups like this, Sorc in heavy armor bragging how he never uses food, etc.

PUGs lead to this kind of mess.
    Bragging about not using food ? :# ? :* ? :/ ?
You always use blue food even then questing simply as its speeds things up and cost 20 gold / hour if bought.
Naturally the tank was in light armor :)

Had an tank with one hand sword and no shield.
My worst run, CoA II normal, two from an trade guild needed dps. We wiped on first boss, tank dropped out.
I focused on the healing alt who you had to take down first I told other dps we needed to get him down first.
No I had not done the dungeon before but that one is obvious. Tank comes, dungeon resets, no problem its just add.

Notice tank had no shield but probably assumed he was sword and dagger on trash or something.
Its a few trash in normal dungeon after all, just to aoe down.
Comes boss, i'm alone on healer again, less skillful, should have used drain on him, but we wipes before I kill him.
The two other leaves and I notice tank has no shield or anything off hand as he res, I asked why no shield but got on answer.

And an LoL, guild asked for help on last boss on Darkshade Caverns 2, Engine Guardian, I join on my sorc who was doing some daily quests. I died someone rezed me and we wiped.
I asked who is healer (guild run so did not want to say worst healer ever), Answer was This one.
They forgot to specify healer so assumed DD, checked invetory and no healing staff, returned on templar and it was just nice.
Templar is not officialy an healer, has to heal some pugs first as I don't want to mess up guild runs :)
And yes its normal dungeons obviously.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I think posting this just to make fun of new players is petty, and frankly this kind of pedantic behavior puts me off more than anything in this game. I'd rather play with those noobies any day than listen to these bullies.

See, that's why I included all the screenshots. I knew nobody would believe that these guys were actually CP 561 and CP 600 unless I had proof...

    :D
Totally agree with you, veteran dungeons is veteran dungeons, I don't do them as I only do 15k dps.
That is close to group dps here

    http://freefall.purrsia.com/ff3000/fc02949.png
Delusion of adequacy is is relevant here, learn some sort of one bar rotation and try again in normal dungeons.
http://freefall.purrsia.com is generally recommended even if off topic.

Had an 3 hour dungeon run back before we had cp, it was an very memorable run. We tired and tried, fungal grotto veteran, now FH II veteran, we had secondary tank and healer assignment in case the other was tied down or in the spider pit.
it was an good run, we improved and improved and yes got more and more drunk :)
Final boss was relaxing all three went on friend list.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

What really blows my mind is that people spend hundreds or thousands of hours playing a game and never look up anything about how to be successful in it. I know some irl that stare at their phones for hours a day on social media sites and refuse to do the most basic research to be more effective. It's incredibly selfish, as so many of those people constantly are trying to do dungeons also.

I find it strange how many come to the defense of clueless players, when in fact those are the far worse offenders. Any time that I'm potentially impacting someone else's time, I think "This is a team game, let me do some basic research to make everyone's lives a bit easier". Not caring about wasting others' time is literally the most selfish thing you can do.

If you made it through you answered your question on if your Templar is ready to heal. If you made that run to finish, image if you had a group that knew what to do. I'd say you are set for any dungeon at this point.

    So here's the important bit:
It only lasted a day or so, but I definitely got my point across. Sometimes people are so oblivious that they truly don't realize their behavior is disrespectful, and they just need a little wake-up call. Plus I screenshotted everything and it was totally hilarious. Those were fun times...

I felt that one particular poster on this thread was being oblivious to the fact that we aren't all men. So I said, "Also, I am a She." Then I said Thank you, and I even added a little smiley face, because I didn't want to seem intimidating or mean. I'm not trying to scare all you manly men with my girl parts, I swear. Just, every once in awhile, it would be great if y'all acknowledged that some of us don't identify as "he."

    :)

I don't really get these group finder threads because anyone who reads the forums should now know what to expect.

I also think there's a fair amount of irony in them because there are those who might judge the OP as harshly as the OP is judging the randoms she decided to play with.

I have never used the group finder because I would find it very frustrating. However, if I did, I would expect that I would need to be very patient and willing to mentor.

This particular thread is really funny - did you actually read it?;)

Also it appears like op was not just willing to mentor but somewhat extraordinary patient given she stuck with the group to the end even with them refusing to communicate, rather than honestly telling them they suck and leaving.

Knowing what to expect and having patience does NOT make it any less funny when it happens to you. Trust me on this. I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard. And at the end of the day, aren't we all here to be entertained?

What if this particular poster told you they were a woman too? All I sense in your need to focus on that when it was not part of the discussion is insecurity.

In all honesty? I wouldn't believe you. I'd be 99% sure you were just saying that to prove some kind of point. You seem like the type, no offense.

But even so, I'll still refer to you as a "she" if you ask me to. Because it's the respectful thing to do.

**Edited to remove a sarcastic comment which, while clever, was not in the spirit of the original thread.

cp600's in a vet dungeon? these guys aren't going to take advice or learn. its too late.

this is the problem with all these double xp events.
if i pop a potion, training gear and do the event- which lasts like 10 days or something- i could easily grind a player from a new account to cp450-600. easily- and thats what has happened. two weeks- zero to heros...

now think back to you're own eso "career". how long did it take you til you felt comfortable to do a vet dungeon? what cp? I was probably around cp280- before I was confident and that took around 4 months! and by then i d done all the dungeons normal and learnt and read alot! but the growing pains which got me there? part of the learning.
my first dungeon- stam night blade - i hit cloak and spammed bombard the whole time- nothing else. and i was cp120 at the time. but i learnt- got some advice- some criticisms, some nice- some harsh- but i got better.

these guys are getting pushed ahead too fast- i get what zos is doing- they want a gamer base that can get into the game faster- but at the expense of the overall quality of gameplay for everyone. i hope they re-think these double xp events- theyre really diluting the gamer and game quality.

OR make certain posts for the game- i.e in order to pass cp160- one must do all dungeons normal. in order to pass CP400- one has to have done all dungeons vet. in order to hit that CP600- you have to have done all roles in all dungeons.

we need a way of qualifying people. is it elitist? *** yeah. I want to play a game i ve gotten good at- with other good players- and experience high quality , skilled gameplay when i do it. whats wrong with that? i do my fair share of teaching- and always pug- i ve carried groups thru vWGT- and early on - been carried. its part of it- but Zos really needs to look at how this *** is shaping right now- cos battlegrounds? is going to be a rage fest the way this is going...

Here is a quick video of Crushing Shock, one of the morphs of Force Shock. Now I doubt you more since it seems like you don't know what the skills look like. Not attacking you, just looking at all the angles of your story

    They look similar don't they?
    CzUjh78.pngMnj0WnZ.png
It honestly makes no difference. Simply spamming Crushing Shock with Clanfear is almost as bad as only heavy-attacking. It is a technicality. (And why the f**k does DD have Crushing and not Force Pulse. But meh. It's also a tecnhicality :) ).

Ok, so this guy didn't only HA. He spammed one skill. Oh, that's a different story now! /s

you'd be surprised how many people run crushing shock in vma.

    Hell even in vMoL.

force pulse is better but crushing shock can be a life saver.

I'm so glad my pug went well today.

We had one high cp dd (maybe 500cp or more) that thought he was a know-it-all (criticized our cp180? healer) but he died first and on our second wipe at the Abomination he left. We ended up killing the boss faster with just the three of us. Which was really funny.

It was my first time in ICP ever, finally at cp380 (I always confess when it's my first run and I ask for advice/mechanics). I usually solo dungeons but I'm glad I took the chance with the group finder today.

Op your story was bare funny. Your identity as a woman deserves respect (cmon guys bare minimum human interaction rules here) and I hope you got that clanfear's @ name because he seems like a genuinely good sport.

I wish there were filters on group finder. Filtering by CP would be worthless, unfortunately, as there are plenty of 600+ ppl who just grinded those CP in Skyreach and still have no idea how to play their roles effectively in group content. What I would love is the ability to filter by Undaunted lvl. Only group me with ppl who have Undaunted 9. If it takes longer to get a group, fine...but at least I would know that I'm in a group with ppl who have experience running these dungeons, and aren't going to be like the ones OP was with.
