wolfdoggie_ESO✭✭✭✭YesI wanted the spiral wizard hat and couldn't find much info about them at the time so I bought 1 just to test how many gems were possible. I got 1 gem each for clutter items ( 3 total) which will be the majority of the items I'll get from them obviously so I was unsatisfied and didn't see the need to buy anymore crates. If I got the same each crate it'd be far beyond 20 dollars for a hat and the buncha stuff I never asked for I'd get aren't important to me since I only wanted the 16 gems at the time. I'm a newbie-ish player so I don't have many things unlocked for repeats. Gambling systems like this are offensive to me but people are suckers so I assume all new stuff will be RNG boxes only for now on since they make trillions of dollars off their focus 1% customers; whales, instead of spreading their focus evenly. Such a shame.1 -

No. This will not be the case. In fact, the opposite. The number of people who have directly purchased the crates, with intent (vs gifts, pre-order bling, etc), will continue to expand relative to those who have not (or will never buy again).

Same here. I have never spent "extra" real money to buy crown crates. Just crowns I have received from ESO+. Only 1 crate of 4 of the Storm ones. When you have been sitting on 15000 crowns with nothing interesting to buy, it was...something.
Probably will never buy any again. It was just a lark.

NinJake✭✭YesI bought the storm crates back when I had leftover crowns from the 50% crown sale. Every year I stock up on crowns during that sale.
For these new crates, I had just re-subbed and had 10k+ crowns sitting around so I took a gamble and got a camel.
