Have you ever purchased any Crown Crates?

Initially so so many people was against these, yet opinions seem to be shifting and ppl are giving in and going all out for the new must have shiny thing.

So have you ever purchased a crown crate? Please answer honestly as I'm curious to the results.

I'm guessing 70% have.

I don't gamble. I'd like the shiny things, but it's only a game and not the end of the world if I don't have them. Anyway, I still get to see them in game.

Yes, however, the novelty has worn right off them and I used my gems from the last CC's to buy the wild hunt senche mount. Won't be putting any cash/crowns into them this round as nothing else appeals to me.

Nope. Don't agree with them. Would have gladly bought many of the Crown Crate mounts, costumes and pets had they been on the Crown Store in order to get something I wanted and support the game, but ZOS decided to take the low road.

I would have made this poll private, personally. You're likely to lose a lot of "Yeses" who are unwilling to vote because they're afraid of catching flak for it.

I don't agree with how they were implemented, but, alas, I am at the mercy of my character concepts, and there have been certain things in both crate "seasons" that fit the theming of my characters just too well to pass up.

I have been tempted, but not for the mounts. The mounts are too flashy for my characters (though the atronach horse for my mage was the single exception). I may be getting four crates just to get the rotmeth hair, because it would fit one of my bosmer!

I was gunna do that but I thought if they believe in the crown crates then no big deal, it's more just curiosity as to the amount.

I, like many others don't really care if X person has purchased them or not.

Same here. I have never spent "extra" real money to buy crown crates. Just crowns I have received from ESO+. Only 1 crate of 4 of the Storm ones. When you have been sitting on 15000 crowns with nothing interesting to buy, it was...something.

Probably will never buy any again. It was just a lark.

Although I'd like some off the items, it's not worth the risk of getting junk I'd never use; I'll just save my crowns and buy what interests me when such things become available.

I would prefer them not to be in the game, but alas I am a sucker for some of the cosmetic junk in them. Not so much the mounts and pets, but the stuff for characters.

And I regret it. It is totally rigged. 3 crates and all i got was some useless consumables. I would pay more to actually be able to buy things I want and not just waste money on "blind - rigged - rng - buying" .
I leaned only one thing - don't buy crates. If there is a possibility - buy stuff that you are 101% certain you will get.

btw. In other games that are "buy - to play" crates randomly drop as loot. Rarely, but they do. With such a bad RNG as they have in eso - thy should just drop from time to time as very rare loot.

A thicker skin is all that's in order. Never understood why people take things that are said by complete randoms to heart. I mean, would you actually care if I thought negatively of you (not saying i do as I don't know you from the next guy/gal)? It should all be water of a duck's back.

I bought similar crates in SWTOR, though I slowed down on those. I've only been back a couple weeks after not really logging in for years here but I've gotten a couple, mostly with the sub crowns I got. I got some interesting stuff but it isn't a substantial amount of things to buy on the crown market as there is on SWTORs. But I've also decided not to buy lots just to buy them for what I hope I'll get.

The monthly amount of crowns is pretty good compared to swtor as well, so that's a plus.

I bought four with subscription crowns when the crates launched, purely so I could join in the debate from personal experience. I was perfectly happy with the outcome in terms of the value of what I received, and I don't have any principled objection to the crates. However, I haven't bought any since as I'm not interested in cosmetic fluff.

Got pissed off that I couldn't convert those costume pieces I didn't want - especially that bicoket hat I expressly dislike - and have a bad taste in my mouth regarding crown crates ever since.

I've bought a few... thankfully got the Storm Senche on my second batch of 15 Crates, bought three 15-packs this time and got enough to buy the things I wanted with Gems. Considering I spend hundreds of hours in this game, what I've spent in it is a LOT less than people spend going out partying or buying fast food- neither of which gives you hundreds of hours of entertainment over many months.

I bought some of the last batch because i was new and seemed a good way to to build up some mounts/pets/costumes. I have not bought any of the new ones though because i was lucky enough to get a storm atro horse so i wont use any other mount.
