Hey there,
now that you've read the rhetoric question in the thread title, I have spent two skillpoints into the faster rezzing passive and keep scraping of the deep-fried remains of whoever didn't manage to go out of the giant sizzling oil puddle myself. But I find myself wondering why nobody else does it. After all, dead players can fight another day (or another oil tick) - right?
I figure that it is because there's no noticeable reward to it. Of course, doing it might tip the fate of battle in the direction of peoples' faction, but that's beyond the average reptile brain (which seems to be all that many people are using during battle. If you are reading this: I made this sentence so long to be able to point out to you that you're the exception. Your reptile brain would have skipped to the TL;DR already.) And not only does resurrecting others not gain me anything but 50 AP - which makes it less rewarding than repairing a keep wall-, it also eats up my soul gems, which are quite pricey on the long run. I propose to change this.
Have resurrections reward AP the same way repairing a keep wall or door does:
After all, it eats a non-self-replenishing resource just the same. 50 AP is just too little.
Have the Rewards of the Spammey send me soul gems:
If Warlord Zimmeron insists on sending me a mail every twenty minutes, he might as well include something useful instead of more deconstruction gear. Why not attach 1d6 soul gems per mail?
Just my two copper. I hope you consider this.
TL;DR:
Suggestion: Resurrecting others should yield AP like repairing a keep. Rewards of the Worthy should regularly include filled Soul Gems.
