Nah, same people moan all over ingame chat. Since it is an almost, I do tend to ignore it. It is just that the whinging is always such stupid stuff. Like RPers crying that they have to play the game for housing stuff or buy it with crowns

Every online game ever made has constant whining, nothing you can do about it. It's not really a fair knock on ESO.

My reasons for leaving:

1. Lag
2. Balance issues
3. Bugs/Exploits
4. Lack of immediate action for above (Hotfix patches)
5. Lack of Cryodill improvement (The same ring around the Rosie)
6. Cannot AFK in towns
7. The 1vX/1v1 community is just plain toxic.

All in all ESO is an amazing game and i will still play it... however Ark Survival dropping on the PS4 has grabbed my full attention and i will be playing that for awhile.

Because of RNG?? Every motherlicking game out there has RNG. Final Fantasy one of the best RPGs??? RNG.

Loading Screens? Perhaps if it was a ton of loading screens, but there is not. Skyrim, Morrowind, etc have them... They are GOTY's.

Bugs??? They are annoying, but not really that annoying enough to leave. Game is still playable.

Toxic Community?? Serious? CoD has toxic community, WoW has toxic community... How bout you raise your immune levels.

Someone listed PvP balance... *** balance, too much of that. You dont see CoD balancing their game every month or two. Apple and Orange my foot.

Lack of communication between Developers and Community??? Do you see CoD developers with a better communication than ZoS?? They all are bad, it doesnt matter anymore... Cuz no one is trying for Harvard Business School Blue Ocean Strategy, everyone is staying in Red Ocean, so its the norm for every game. Developer and Community communication always sucked

Why would I leave?
Whats my 3 reasons?

1. A better game comes out
2. Another MMORPG has a very appealing expansion
3. Real life

Basically, ESO is just another typical MMORPG, its what a lot of people playing right now. Nothing special about it, so everyone else and me are just waiting for another good game to come out, or another MMORPG like GW2 releases a new expansion that is very appealing. Or simply I get so bored of MMORPG and start doing other things in real life.

ESO *** sucks though, Everquest back in the days was the bar for MMORPGs... Every MMORPG since... they lowered the bar, where today, the bar is so low it makes ESO look 'good' in Today's Standards.

Crown crates doesnt affect you at all if you dont want to. It has nothing to do with pay 2 win.

Welll obviously this is a rule enforced by ZOS! Therefore you will be thrown aside by a mod and never allowed back on the forums; this is a serious issue ya know!

1. They go back to mandatory subscription base.

Anything else in this game I can pass up on, for me this is my casual game where I don't have to worry about all that much, I can let it all slide as I'm not forced to pay a subscription of any kind if I don't want to and enjoy the content.

- Appalling performance
- Lack of meaningful progression leads to inevitable boredom once you've spent enough time in end-game (which is so spartan)
- Constant nerfing of PvE due to the need to keep some balance in PvP. I do understand the need for balance in PvP, but PvE is just getting more and more bland. ZOS just need to split these game types up or ditch PvP entirely, as a statistic hardly anyone plays it and it's so broken right now, they literally will never fix it. They just risk bringing PvE down to the dreadful level of PvP the way ZOS are going about it

In GW2, they use to run this youtube show every month, cannot remember what its called, but basically developers would give you short spill what they doing, and answer a few questions.

Now, because they did stuff like that would I keep playing?
Nope, to some people, hardcores, they may enjoy that. TO me, I just want a good meaningful game.
MMORPG that actually pushes and strongly suggests 'YOU PLAY WITH OTHERS'

Not some MMORPG, typical 'today standard' MMORPG, "its okay to solo" "matter of fact you should solo"
I'm playing an MMORPG to play with others... Not to be encouraged to solo and not able to find groups because 'this game is 100% encouraged for soloing'.

Should you be able to solo? yes... But should it be strongly emphasised and encouraged that you play with others and not just a 2 min deal aka dolmen... But a whole day type of deal.

"hey since you doing stuff in this zone too, what you plan on doing next? I have to do that too, so lets go do it" type of deal, type of encouragement.

I actually want an MMORPG...
Where being in a guild actually matters.

Tired of this norm "join all the guilds you want" "guilds are meaningless, just join all the good ones"

I miss days when guilds meant something, like in Everquest, you see someone with guild tag Triune, you think, holy crap, a legendary player is in the same zone as me.

Also, because that guild is 1 of two guilds to be so far in raids... Matter of fact... Its the norm to have raids everyone can beat too.
All that hardcore, all that aspect of MMORPGs.... Down the drain.
Players are MORE hardcore today, than several years ago.... Yet the developers do not realize it, and content gets 'EASIER' not 'HARDER' when it comes to end game.

The game itself... Is EASIER not HARDER than before.
Back in my days... You die... You lose half your current level progress. DEATH was EXTREMELY bad back in my days... Hence why few people were highest level. Guess what... It felt good making levels, actually had feeling, and commadre it brought, very good too.
Its as if, easier game gets... More people start HATING the game.

Its called a grind when stuff is too easy. Its called PROGRESS when stuff is tough.

way too expensive.. if i ever leave this game it must be this... spend almost 200 bulks on this game and yet i don't even have every dlc.... and now i will be needing to pay another 50 Canadian dollars for the upcoming expansion..

if all these are still acceptable, the lack of outfit dye and crafting bag for not paying monthly fee make it worse.. character slot sale at 1500 gem, and assistant are 5k gem each.. house cost 10k gem......i guess they do want everyone to b2p+ monthly fee+ expansion + heavy cash shop

eso is a good game, but certainly not the best, nor the only one.. if they continue doing business like this, i guess ill leave soon or later..

And I did leave the game, after my free month.

2. Crafting node nerf (one resource from nodes, world wide)

Changed the way I played, instead. Adopted the Studio expectation that crafting is only for my personal use, for the character that I am on. Ended up dropping crafting activities for many characters, and no longer make stuff for other characters, even my own other characters. Crafting is a private, personal, experience in this game. I actually have not crafted a set and worn it for months. All I do is provisioning and alchemy, anymore. If I want decent equipment crafting, worthy of a multiplayer game, I'll go play Skyrim.

3. I don't recall a third time.

Yea as long as there is no commenting and critisizing people for their reasons. This thread is a goldmine for them. As long as it stays how it pretty much is it could be a very valuable resource to the developer. If it goes on long enough they could even get statistics as to the major reasons people would become unhappy with it. If people start arguing however this thread will go straight down the cr apper.

I solo'd Krogo last night down in the sewers (+7500 tel var). I then went to move on to the next district and my game froze while fighting a small mob.

Quit the app, logged back in to a death screen and 3700 less tel var

The only one reason I have ever considered leaving, is the same reason I have stayed, and it is people When friends stopped playing, or turned out not to be who I believed them to be and stopped wanting to have fun, I considered leaving, and then I remembered that I have many friends, and continued to have fun anyway, with better people, so it was no loss anyway, in the end
