Crown crates doesnt affect you at all if you dont want to. It has nothing to do with pay 2 win.
Magblades are actually one of the strongest atm, there just aren't any easy meta builds out there yet. So with other words, mablades suck for people who are too lazy to actually try them out. We have two magblades in our group, both of them 50-60k dps on bosses.

1. Overall performance is terrible (Instances in Dungeons, Trials, and without a doubt Cyrodiil).
2. Lack of innovation (almost three years and still each class has the same skill and each weapon skill-line only received ultimates but no new abilities).
3. Lack of being able to make my character look how I want it to i.e. transmorg + lack of unique looking items with effects.

That is probably the only reason i want to quit at times, since mats alone take up almost entirety of my maxed bank space. Zenimax has greatly disappointed me in this decision and I thus want to give them less money than I would otherwise.

Implementing the crown crates as an obvious RNG-based cash grab.

ZoS being clueless and not listening to what PvPers have wanted want for years.

RNG being totally random and disappointing which leads to having to grind for weeks, for one specific item.

Allowing obvious cheaters and hackers play again by unbanning them or by simply not banning their IP so they can easily get another account...

Sorry I couldn't narrow it down to 3, you get 7 extra - for me, these are the most disappointing and negative things about the game. I still play because despite of it's big negatives, it has many positives qualities that can easily be overlooked.

No matter how good the game is, when even a mudcrab outmatches you 1 v 1. Something is seriously wrong. Recently, I have more deaths at the hands of 999+ ping fights vs Mudcrabs then Vet Dungeon Bosses. This is absouletely game breaking.

Left the game for a period time in 2014 after becoming frustrated with all the bugs, bots etc. Came back in 2015, not looked back since.

Like most, there are aspects of this game that annoy me. Not going to leave because of them.

1. Biased Rng for letting the same accounts get master writs every single day, while others haven't gotten any in the past week or longer.

I haven't gotten a master writ for the past 10 days on 8 crafting chars, also one of which has every motif in game besides 4, and about 15 more traits to go.

I considered leaving my first week because

1. The player behavior in EP
2. The zone chat in Stonefalls. (Lack of moderation in the game by Zos)
3. The whole concept of the Pact.

The RNG in this game is so bad. It often makes me consider 'what's the point?!'
For example, the latest insufferable grind that is Homestead.... rather than making me love the game more, as it should have, ended up making me log more hours on other MMOs these past 2 weeks!

I did leave. For a year. My top 3 reasons were:

1. Implementation of glass motif. At the time I expected it was a sign of more to come in terms of making things such a massive grind that it'd force crown store sales. I'm glad that didn't turn out to be the case.

2. Year-long content drought. I made it through the large chunk of this drought, but the lack of content compounded with the other 2 things sent me over the edge and I decided to quit.

3. Coming to the realization that ESO will never be able to live up to the potential I saw in it, not as a B2P title at least. The business model change means a development focus change.

All of that said ESO is still the only MMO in the market that I enjoy. And I've tried a lot of MMOs over the past year!

1. PVP is becoming boring. Either zerg or ball group. Both are lame.
2. Latency issues, been a problem since launch and ZOS always has a lame excuse instead of fixing it. And, they always have a "fix" coming next patch.

3. When I find another game I'd rather play. Fast approaching.

Considering all the important things we have to do in real life, MMO no longer has an appeal to wider spectrum of gaming population. A lot of ppl these days seem to prefer MOBA or FPS PvP where they can just put couple hours per week in quick succession of games.

We have to be fair about the limitation of an MMO first. I've played countless number of MMOs, including WoW and FFXIV, and there is no perfect MMO out there that has a reasonably priced real money store, well balanced class system, constant end game updates, meaningful PvP and PvE gameplay, and a helpful and enthusiastic producers that listen to their gamers. Even if such a MMO had existed, it would get stale no matter what if you were to keep playing the game over the span of a few years.

The reason why MMOs like ESO, FFXIV, and WoW have a healthy population is not because they are perfect MMOs, but because they do excel in certain aspects of gaming while they fall short in some aspects of gaming experience. Any gaming company makes their games to make a profit, and, to be fair, any MMO will have some level of RNG and grinding, imperfect class balancing, and varying levels of support and dedication from the company.

Personally, I'm satisfied with ESO in most aspects of MMO gaming experience, and this is why I am continuing to play this game just like all the players posting on this thread and forum. With this said, here are my top 3 reasons that sometimes make me disappointed at ESO:

1. ZOS rarely listens to meaningful player feedback, and is really slow to implement changes.
2. Lack of endgame contents that will captivate players for a long time (cyrodiil, vet dungeons, and trials gets stale fast)
3. Loading screens, bugs, glitches that sometimes make you not even wanna log on to the game

Just my opinion on ESO.

Because of RNG?? Every motherlicking game out there has RNG. Final Fantasy one of the best RPGs??? RNG.

Loading Screens? Perhaps if it was a ton of loading screens, but there is not. Skyrim, Morrowind, etc have them... They are GOTY's.

You ever have to grind the hardest solo content in the game over 2000 times in Final Fantasy? Sure every game has some RNG but soul crushing? no this game has elusive rights to that. Look at how many RNGs there are in this thread. Now excuse me while I go gouge my eyes out farming amberplasm sword and board. It only takes 300 runs to get that in BSW by skipping bosses, entering solo, and going for chests. Maybe I'll get a set of Amberplasm sometime this year when it takes nearly an hour to join, can't be skipped or efficiently solo'd and has no unique pieces, and is one of the longest in the game.

Do you PvP? Cause the loading screens come in pairs and last about 4m with no insurance that it won't rip through half your group making the other half wait for you.
