Maybe the crafting playerbase needs to hire some of the people who throw tantrums over losing 2-5% damage when a skill is changed and actually get ZOS to reverse or change their minds

After what now - 10 days since launch - i just finished my full workshop - all seven stations - in the house and still have about 50 vouchers to spare.

Thanks to a 122 voucher writ this morning which put me over the top in an otherwise lousy writ day.

less than 2 weeks in and first major goal for the writs accomplished with a price tag of 245 vouchers.

How fast should this have been if 10 days is grossly too long?
    24 hours?.
    5 mins?
    Free once downloaded for everybody?

"We've worked hard to introduce challenges for the crafter who has everything, and introduce substantial rewards to match these challenges."

next goal - six attunable blanks (two each equip) ready to attune by Morrowind with a stretch goal of the ebony motif.

    Likely can get there.

Well don't be stupid like I was and open a writ you didn't notice you missed 1 qualification for.

    1. You can't close them for later use.
    2. You can only have one writ open at a time so you can't do another while obtaining the qualification for the first.

    Punishment!!

I have a friend who also seems to be godly in the RNG department as well, been that way since beginning of game.
I swear it seems that some characters/accounts are blessed(glitched) and others are cursed! smh
There is definitely something smelly about ZOS RNG.

Glad you have gotten such good results but they don't seem to be typical.

In 10 days i have received 91 master writs for a total of 983 vouchers. I run 20 characters a day through all 6 writs for a total of 120 writs a day. So yes i have a much larger pool to pull from then most of you but my experience should help shine a light on how many you are going to need to do, to obtain the master writ items you want. I have already shared this info in other master writ discussion threads but here is my first weeks break down for others that might want it.

wow, your odds are insane I run 7 chars now daily doing writs and haven't gotten one for the past 6 days. One is my master crafter with all my motifs (all but 3 full motifs, Akaviri and 2 new ones), also every trait except for 15 I believe.

My odds the first week were less the %1 per writ done. That's not amazing. Other people I'm in contact with who are keeping track are at almost the same %.

Do you Know how each crafting profession is utilized to get a master writ? It sounds like you don't have the deck stacked in your favor and are missing the key points/achievements to better your success rate.

This is a big problem imo. There are no guidelines on these master writs. We got some vague tips on the pts forums and I ran with it. I know a lot of people missed those posts and really don't understand the system at all.

With running as many characters as I am I should be able to figured out just how weighted this system is in a few weeks. Once I get more deta I will release a lot of numbers and hopefully crack the whole system or at least come close to it.

Actually it does... it means this is what is within the realm of doable for "higher levels of crafters"

but to answer your question in spite of that dfismissal of obvious info - 12 crafters running tier-10 writs each day.

And to answer the more informative question you did not ask - 35 daily tier-10 writs (about 90m on slow days)

that may be up to 39 in ~3 weeks depending on how the decons work on the four new lines being worked up.

My lowest day may have been 2 vouchers, maybe 4. but mostly in the 10 voucher range with the occasional jackpot. have ones for another 85 vouchers sitting in the inventory waiting for me to learn the motif and for the Deadly Strike to get resolved. thought about selling one and listed it, then started seeing motifs and changed mind only to have tava favor turn to deadly strikes. Sigh.

But as time goes on those will get done too.

I've been running 7 full crafters every day all maxed crafting, one of which is my master crafter with basically all but 3 full motifs in game so far, and about 15 traits from being done with all 9 traits, getting 0 master writs for the past 7 days.

I don't remember where I saw it but I read that the chances for master writs are based on crafting achievements. The more completed motif you have the better chance for a master writ.

I'm curious where it was written that motif sets had to be complete to be counted. It's 2017, after all, and it's not exactly rocket science for the system to note that, for example, I have 12 or 13 out of 14 motifs. They should count, computers are supposed to be good at crunching numbers.

Only completed motifs count. That includes the brand new ones.

Also completing all research and learning all motifs are "weighted very similarly", and master writs are working as intended except for provisioning right now.

Editorial comment: So if you don't already know all of the chapters of all of the new motifs, you are not as far along as you think. I speculate the above may explain why people had better drop rates on PTS template characters than on their live 9-trait crafters.

LOL @ everyone trying to spray the 7urd with deodorant.

Based on my experience on the PTS I fully expected to be screwed on master writs when this went live, but much to my surprise I have had extraordinarily good luck with master writs. At the end of the day however, I can still recognise a 7urd when I see one.

It's become painfully obvious, at least to me, that people who like to find stuff in game have been pretty much hosed by the crown store. Sadly I don't see this ever changing but only getting worse over time :(

To receive master writs, the crafter must not only deodorize the 7urd, but polish it to a mirror finish.

While it's in the reward box it doesn't show the demands, and the accept dialogue opens automatically. The solution is to refuse the writ when you open the box and let it go into your inventory. If you scroll over it it will show the requirements and the number of vouchers rewarded then decide what to do with it. If I get master writs on my alts I simply cancel the dialogue and then place the sealed reward in the bank so my main can pick up and complete. Thus I ensure I am able to do it and I also get all vouchers on a single char for efficient usage. ATM they are not bankable so you can't transfer them between chars.

I haven't even touched this housing debacle honestly. I have the money for a decent house if I wanted to, but seeing as how this Master Writ scenario has been so far, no thanks. Having said that, I have 2 max crafters, a 3rd well into his 4th craft, a few minor crafts on alts mainly for provisioning supplies, and yet somehow I cannot even manage a writ higher than 2 vouchers in the almost 3 weeks since it's inception?

So far, I have a grand total of 3 Master Writs worth 2 vouchers each wooo, not having missed a day nor a craft turn-in, I am completely out of my mind with disgust. Something's just not right here and it's begging to stink like a corpse.
