Dueling should be considered a crime

Just as I figured when they added in dueling it'd be happening right next to the waypoints in every city in every zone unless the zone is dead. It's a bother in MMO's and a visual eyesore that doesn't belong smack in the middle of towns.

Make it incur a bounty so that duelers have to avoid the guards/witnesses and take that bother out in the wilderness where it doesn't bother anyone else.

I totally agree with you. Dueling in cities should be a crime and the guards should attack you for it.
Fortunately the towns on PC/EU have been relatively dueling free. It was terrible when dueling first was released.

Duels cause performance issues with the spamming of abilities in crowded areas a key contributor to lag, as well as encourage players to congregate in areas that are already difficult if not impossible to reach / log into when crowded.

Duels should be restricted to non-town areas, baring that, the OPs idea to have guards arrest and cite players for dueling would be an improvement.

Even worse are the inconsiderate kids who duel in the bank.

It would be very nice if dueling were a crime in town. That would solve the problem quite nicely.

I mean if I want to murder NPC's or steal, I have to try and avoid witnesses, why should guards be letting people fight in the middle of the streets? They're supposed to be keeping the peace, if anyone's going to be fighting in town, it's going to be a guard slaughtering a criminal.

I've had issues with loading screens and disconnects since I recently started playing again that I used to not have, and I have to wonder if the constant duel spam at waypoints is why.

The guards should break them up and ask them to leave the city.

    Take it outside boys...

It causes serious performance issues for me, I couldn't do quests in Rawl'h because nothing would load because these people are spaming thier skills infront of the wayshrine.

Actually, I find that most role play is happening in group chat, which is why there are usually five people posed around each other, completely silent, in an almost creepy way......... ANYWAY

Duels should be kept outside the city. Maybe even give a bonus to those who duel in a designated arena. Stop and be considerate of others for once in your digital life lol

trying to look at the screen of the guild sales to buy matterials i need to make armor for someone and i cant focus because your magicka casting is not only shaking the screen but it is also causing flares and fighting flashes of light and sound that interferes with purchases.

I used to be against it in towns until I got bored of the same old PvE thing and now, I don't mind it at all. It allows people wishing to duel to find others quickly. Do I think people should be doing it in banks or next to crafting tables etc etc? No, but busy wayshrines are fine because it's where most people just hang around anyway doing nothing other than trash talk or spamming their AoE's. At least now they have the option of actually doing something the game encourages them to do.

I think something should be done about the bots and rubber banders that ruin certain areas for those wishing to play the game how it's intended to be played, not those using a feature ZoS gave us to use.

Instead of petitioning zenimax to limit one players fun because it isn't your flavor of entertainment, perhaps you should ask them to fix the net code for the lag or come up with animations that don't trouble your eyes so vehemently.

It's cute that you think you're more deserving than the next person. People have as much right to stand there duelling as you do crafting or buying. You might not agree with that, but the game doesn't and shouldn't revolve around your every whim and your unreasonable expectations.

Idea: Add a designated dueling location for every town. When a duel is accepted, automatically port the players to one of these spots in the zone (no loading screen). They can be randomized so that the terrain doesn't become as repetitive.
