Homestead PvP Glitch: Invisible Enemies

    What a joke. Invest all this time into a game (mostly for the PvP side) and PvP is clearly an afterthought for ZOS. But hey, we've got barbie houses now.

    Didn't they just confirm battlegrounds as the next patch? So we will finally have a pvp update since IC.

    Not the next "patch". But yes, there will be 4v4v4 battlegrounds in the Morrowind expansion/DLC/whatever they are calling it.

    Again, if anyone has details about being attacked, killed, or attacking and killing an invisible player, please post here with character names and what class and if they were a Vamp or not.

    So, I also had this problem yesterday. An enemy player whispered me that I killed him invisible. My character, Almariel, a sorceress, is a vampire, yes, but I don`t use any vampire skills as swarm or fog atm. (Bug report: 170209-002237)
    In another situation, I also encountered an invisible enemy, which was invisible to me but not to another player. All EU-PC

    I did not see any scheme or something behind this, seemed to occur completely random, even with different impact to different players, hope fully this can be fixed soon.

    I really wonder if it would also take more than a week to fix if it had been mobs in a PvE Dungeon that were invisible! Seems that being unable to see 10% of the PvP players is no big thing and can wait more than a week to get resolved.

    Well to be honest maybe. Remember the Trap Beast bug? But that worked in the PVErs favor so that could be the difference.

    Still have invisible team members in group - also killed an enemy and he he became invisible. Have not "seen" an invisible enemy attacking me yet.

    I confirmed last night in a test that an invisible enemy can run out of render range then back, and render properly upon returning.

    A guy challenged a friend to a duel, but my friend was invisible to him upon arrival. It was quite a convenient opportunity to test.

    This workaround is consistent with the invisible ally bug which has existed for several patches.

    Video footage of the test is in past broadcasts at twitch.tv/moontan, a guildy's stream.

    As mentioned, ZOS thinks they fixed it with this morning's patch. The question is whether they did.

    ZOS can't win. Fix this naoooo! OMG why did you take the servers offline!

    Even assuming the bug was fixed and tested instantly (which is a big assumption), ZOS was not going to take the servers offline on a weekend to patch a bug that affects a proportionately small portion of their customer base. And if they had, there would be a huge forum lynch thread about unscheduled maintenance.

    Hopefully it's fixed now and we can all go back to slaughtering people we can see (and vice versa).
