Its now the end of another week and we still haven't heard anything from ZOS in a couple of weeks. Is this going to be fixed by launch of Update 13 on Feb. 6, 2017 ? I 'd like to say it would be fixed but with ZOS track record I seriously doubt it will happen. I'm seriously starting to wonder how an issue like this can get past internal Q/A and be put on the test server as is for Mac Users and the game is completely unplayable. How can you expect one to test things when you can't add skillpoints or champion points but as soon as you do add the skillpoints or champion points the game crashes. Also if you interact with NPC or interact with menus it also crashes. We as a community would love to test the content and provide effective and constructive feedback but how can we provide feedback when we can't even test the content. We as a community need to hear something from the Development Team about where this is in process of being fixed and if its going to take longer. If it does take longer what steps is Zenimax going to take to help the Mac community?

@ZOS_MattFiror I wonder, as the leader of this organisation, whether you could 'step up' and 'step in' here to provide any information and reassurance to the Mac community; that in part also helps to fund your game. We may not be many but being part of a minority is no excuse for treating us differently now is it

It feels as if neither your community team nor development team have the slightest interest in engaging and informing us. We have waited patiently for information on the non-functioning PTS client and politely asked to be updated all to no avail. Are you able to change this and set an example?

Can we be provided with an update on this critical and therefore extremely concerning issue, given a reassurance that a stable and functioning client will be delivered by Homestead launch and be included in PTS activity in future (preferably from the next client push) please? We look forward very much to a reply.

PTS isn't back up yet, I'm hoping that maybe, just maybe they'll have fixed it but I doubt it

Hey guys, apologies for the lack of recent updates. We were finally able to track down the cause of this issue and have a fix for it. Unfortunately, we weren't able to get this into today's PTS patch in time, but the issue will not occur when we publish to the Live megaservers next week.

So, let's be clear on this: the latest update will not have been tested by a single Mac user. That's just a fact. But there's something else..... PC users will have a clear advantage when the next update goes live. They have been able to review, test and asses potential new builds, mechanisms for things like furniture crafting, and much more. Whether that's the function of the PTS or not is entirely beside the point.

As usual, this places all Mac users at a severe disadvantage.

Now, I wouldn't mind so much, but for the fact that I am still paying exactly the same fee as a PC customer. And I have been since the beta.

So, @ZOS_GinaBruno, why is it OK to treat your paying Mac customers like second class citizens? Very frustrating.

I have done some *limited* testing on a Mac. Some characters will work. Namely low level ones with limited skills. For example, I created a new character and went through the prison (wasn't given the option to skip). Was lvl 3 upon exit - assigned skill and attribute points. Then purchased a house from the crown menu. Then was able to do housing editor stuff as well as look at all the houses. I couldn't craft anything since I didn't have any points. Prior to the EU copy I had a few low level alts that also seemed to work fine. So if you *really* want to try out some of the housing stuff, you may be able to do something. I was unable to do anything on a "robust" character, so build/equipment/skill testing wasn't possible.

@ZOS_GinaBruno - now that you have root cause, if you know of any workarounds that might be able to allow people to do more testing, please pass them along.

My experience, updated, if it helps:

I had to create a new toon. Everything was ok, save for the few times it would randomly crash (while running/riding/opening doors).

I was able to complete the quest, to include buying pieces of furniture. My problem began as soon as I attempted to open my inventory (I), after purchasing the furnishings; the client then crashed every time I try to.

The client also crashed every time I attempted to open the Character window (C), which it didn't before I started the quest.

I WAS, able to purchase all homes with crowns, as well as move objects around with the Housing Editor (F5).

I was NOT able to sit (E)(Use) on any scripted furnishing.

And today, after the PTS update, the new toon that I had created for testing the PTS is gone, with only the option to select my regular characters available.
