They'll get it fixed. If they don't, they will lose customers, and they know that. They aren't stupid.
It's only PTS anyway. there's plenty of things live to still do. Like get more gold, for housing.
To be honest, if this was a priority, they'd have found this long before the PTS was released. All you have to do to reproduce the issue is try to log into the game on a Mac. Kinda makes me think no one tried.

This issue won't be fixed before the next PTS patch, but we are working to make sure it's fixed before the update goes live. The issue is actually tied to skill points spent, not just copied characters.
