What's a memory leak on a Mac? LOL
As a long, long, long, time Mac user the past year has seen tons of memory leaks from Firefox to the point where it was using up all my system memory. Just sayin.
Mac is nice but it isn't perfect.

@ZOS_GinaBruno - NO it isn't JUST the copied NA characters. Its the newly created PTS characters as well when the game kicks you out it applies the same glitch.ZOS_GinaBruno wrote: »Hey guys, no update/solution yet for this, but we are continuing to investigate. Depends really on what you want to do. With the templates you get 100kk gold, all furnishing recipes and all houses for free, and 100% on most skill lines. So the crafting and vendors is easy to check; all you won't be able to do is test your own builds and buy houses with in-game gold (since the templates don't have any of the prereq quest achievements).
Ah sorry I hadn't realised that spending skill points also caused the issue.AyeshaBelladonna wrote: »ZOS_GinaBruno - NO it isn't JUST the copied NA characters. Its the newly created PTS characters as well when the game kicks you out it applies the same glitch. no, without being able to spend skill points on my new character i CAN'T do the other half of the upcoming update activities. can't get to the towns because i have to skills to use to fight or heal with. no way to put the points into the crafting skill lines either. on my NEW PTS Character it crashes me (and at LEAST a few others of us here i see) and when i go to log back in it then treats that new character like the copied characters and locks up the load right away. so ALL i can do is make ANOTHER new character and repeat the same Crown-Only part of the experience. you have to be able to spend at LEAST a FEW skill points without crashing to do anything else.I'm now on my 3rd try.
I still can't access the premade template characters and my toons that were copied from live can't get in the game. It's annoying as hell.
PTS Crowns are free too. You get 5,500 every day, and don't need to (and can't) spend real money on Crowns.I refuse to spend money in the crown store to test a free PTS
Sorry, I don't get what you mean. You appeared to be complaining that you didn't want to spend money on the Crown Store on PTS, and all I said was that the Crown Store on PTS is free. The fact that you can't access the template characters, or log in to your own characters, while annoying, is not related to my reply to you about the Crown Store being free.@Enodoc
You may be quite happy to level several toons and grind out the CP on a PTS just so you can test new skill changes and builds, I'm not. The last thing I want to do on a PTS is grind out new toons to max level. I want to test on the toons I already have. That really isn't too much to ask.

I can get in, I can load up a template character...... problems start when I start to assign skill points. If I don't do that, and just mooch around, I'm fine. If I assign any skill points, all other actions after that (open character screen, open inventory, etc) simply freezes the game them crashes the client. If I stay in the skill point screen too long, the game crashes too.
It is an entirely consistent bug too. Happens every time, without fail.
On the plus side, I was able to view houses via the crown store preview (you can do this if you don't open inventory or assign skill, just go straight to the Crown Store) and I have already booked the removal van to take my saddlebags to Daggerfall Overlook. Moving-in party will be held in the great hall.

I consistently hard lock when I press the I key to bring up my inventory (this has repeated on 3 consecutive occasions).
I've already loaded 64 attribute points and all champion points previously but have not attempted to add any skill points as yet.
Thats what I had to do... the windows version has its own problems as you expect with a beta but they are minor by comparison I fell afoul of the message spamming thing and was kicked out to the log in when I was rapidly buying things in the crown store)RainaLionheart wrote: »I'm kinda left feeling like this issue won't be fixed for some time because a lot of users are on pc. Maybe time to load up my bootcamp partition and download ESO onto it
Huh, the issue may be somewhat complex. Some mac users (myself included) seem to be able to bypass the whole issue through the use of templates, while others continue to see issues with templates and after having logged in. I've been logging in for the sake of testing Housing, and so the only skill points I've assigned have been in the crafting skill trees, and so far I have experienced very few issues in the game itself. Maybe it has to do with specific skill points being used on the character.
LaucianNailor wrote: »My optimism for 2.7 is waning as far as the Mac client is concerned.
I hope the next PTS 2.7.1 addresses this. How this has not been picked up pre PTS push, I'm astonished. Is there any Mac testing apart from what their customers carry out
Afafrenferr wrote: »I'm just hoping they can make it work live, I'm past worrying about the PTS. As much as I'd like to get in there and test a lot of different things, I just don't see Mac users being a part of this PTS.
Additionally, will they push it out to live and make a part of their customer base unable to play? Is it large enough of a concern?

This is my worry. I am absolutely not going to use bootcamp for ESO (although on my machine) as I only use BC for business use with parallels rather than booting into windows.
If players simply move from using the Mac client to their bootcamp, then the play data , may make it compelling for ZoS to remove support and the ability to use a Mac to play ESO at all. I do not want that to happen.

Anyone else notice how they have LOTS of ZOS admin interaction on the Windows PTS support thread getting additional info oct, but all we've had here is half a and-aid and NO additional support or acknowledgement??
