howdy @TequilaFire ...thanks for stopping in...good to read you're out there wrecking folks in scourge :)

I do occasionally run into players that seem fairly new to pvp, by far though - i mostly run into a lot of players with really good gear, capped cp and some tight rotations (nice to see proxi det making a strong comeback on my death recaps :#)

been testing out a few new builds in cyrodiil today, tried for a while in IC, but, that can be a challenging spot to practice at...so, doing some playing now in cyro on an AD and DC character (ugh, I'm even learning to use a resto staff on mag sorc :p)

just respecced their attributes and skills...they're both dps magic focused characters, but, I'm still having trouble committing all 64 pts to magicka, could only do 50...I'm getting there -slowly :s

well, finally came to the conclusion that joining any pvp focused guilds while keeping all my characters in the same map - probably isn't such a great idea...

thanks for making me feel guilty @Yung_deezy818 ...geez, after reading your guild notes I couldn't bear the weight of guilt any longer...

truth is - you're 100% right...any large group based pvp based guild should insist it's members exclusively play one alliance only within that map...

I mostly prefer solo play; however, I would like to look into more smaller based pvp guilds within each alliance in scourge...

pvp guilds with small numbers may work for me?

any who, good call deezy - your message was right on point B)

hey Tequila Fire - i think i may have seen your ID somewhere in chat (one thing that is challenging for sure having so many characters in each alliance is that it's hard to remember whom fights for which side)...you part of that mighty red machine which seems to be humming along pretty smoothly in first place (up 600 pts on AD) in scourge?

It's all good fam. I know your a chill cat and there are others who have three but gotta express my opinions and hold all guild members equally accountable for rules we enforce. But I know the ones who mean no harm by it and try to just look the other way. Hard to do that though being an enforcing officer haha

You must of been on your EP character if the chat was in Cyrodiil. I play with a great group of guys in an EP guild called the Warriors of Cyrodiil. When our leader is on and we are all clicking we can roll the map pretty fast. We are a tight group that has been together since PS4 launch, started out on Haderus.

Have been enjoying the fact that AD has been getting stronger and giving us a better fight as we hate a one color blue map. lol
But darn OJ and crew were strong Saturday afternoon/evening. Took back what we had worked for the whole day. lol
Going to have to work to hold the campaign lead.

had a chance to get in to cyro for awhile this morning, some good fights...

been working on updating some of my gear and characters - a lot of fun, but, also really challenging...finally got some new things integrated into those characters - still need to build up some new skill lines and abilities...

really like the extra shield for my mag sorc using a resto staff...the resto staff is also helpful for adding a little healing and defense to your group while you're simultaneously trying to fry every living thing around you...

decided to take a break and jump on my templars for awhile...played one this afternoon whom just so happens to wear 7 heavy...need to relax for a while - grab an orc black rose wearing templar and go have "fun" :D

gonna get on red for the first time this campaign later with my other templar...

hoping that DC tries pushing east, and, AD tries to go north...at this point in the campaign EP is only up by around 700 points or so, but, from the time I've been on the map - they are playing really well...

it's funny, I'm not a huge role player type (mostly B)), but, for each characters alliance - it does "feel" different for each...

this templar wears 5 light :#), 2 heavy...he's got rune focus and blazing shield up and running most of the time so can can actually stay up and fighting for awhile...

I've decided to start using the monster pieces (they're just so ugly), so this weekend picked up a bunch of light grothdaar (one of the more hideous of the head pieces)...gonna fit it in with julianos and rattlecage on this character...been thinking more and more about adding in some VD for this character while in pvp land...

radiant oppression and vicious death just seem like such a perfect pair...

I've been mostly working on magicka characters lately trying to focus them more strongly in magicka...however, so much of pvp requires stamina...fun challenge...

saw something fun last night/this morning :#...was playing EP and was hanging at glademist, there were a few other allies just camping out at the keep...

at one point started firing off my ballista at a group of AD players until I suddenly realized they were kicking it and dueling/hanging out with some EP and DC players...

a fair size group of about 20 or so players from each alliance were all just "hanging out" a little south of the front door...went over and relaxed with every one for a few minutes...

definitely a cool little interlude to all the combat stuff :)

@geonsocal I was running my DC over the weekend and saw you during that Ash to Nikel bridge fight, which the Thunder Slugs had camped on top for what seemed like forever. Felt weird fighting my old guildies for the first time.

And then last night, I was running my EP and saw you on your EP toon - level 47 I believe? Unless I'm seeing another player with the same tag.

After pushing AD to their gates most of the day, it was good to see old familiar AD names push the map and get their scrolls back after midnight. EP was holding Emp at Chalman so as usual with any alliance, they let the other keeps get rolled.

After getting each scroll, I'd hop on my AD NB to get the AP for the recapture. Hehehe. I am disappointed that I can't play my AD NB more often anymore since AD's been pop-locking with a longer queue. Good to see AD putting a fight in Haderus again, at least this past weekend.

@PhxOldGamer68 ...by any chance, do you know someone named "qstraw"...seems like i'm always running into them when i'm playing either DC or EP...i had thought they were an exclusive AD player (always up on the leaderboards, plus - always "running" into them :D)...ran into them while they were on an EP character last night....i personally like it when players have multiple characters on each alliance and basically just show up in scourge to fight - any one, any where...

what was driving me crazy was where i had first seen their ID...turns out i first saw them fighting as AD in the old IC arena district in azuras star/scourge...

the way the district alliance platforms are laid out - it made it challenging for AD to come join the wild melee between EP and DC - i remember now though seeing qstraw with his lone AD character always fighting underneath the DC platform :)

it's funny, for some reason i still remember some of the gamertags of people from the time i played there...i played there a lot :p

Was a fun 3 way at Chal morning East Coast US. DC attacking one side and AD attacking the other with EP defending Emp. DC and AD raiding around the keep at each other and EP sending out sorties. Finally dethroned with both sides of the inner breached EP were fighting AD on one side and DC snuck in the other clearing the EP inside. AD then cleared EP their side and flooded in wiping DC. AD went on to take Ales and get Emp.

Looked like a planned push early in the morning. The guy who became Emp was on and it looked like he had a raid plus some surfers with him. Good fun and couldn't really complain about the lag but it was just one bar each so that helped.

@geonsocal I've seen the tag. I see many players, who are alliance hoppers like myself. Last night, I saw "OJ" in his DC toon in Glademist, standing on the wall that was being sieged by AD. He didn't jumped down and help DC players fight the AD attackers. He just stayed up on the wall, running back and forth casting his Dragon armor spell. Spying? It's part of the game.

A former guildie in EP became Emp in Skull in his DC toon and he was playing as DC last night. "Bacon" has been EP for awhile now and has been Emp several times. I see "Koosh" on his AD and EP toon and was even on EP leaderboard.

I was EP faithful with my first 6 toons, but I'm having a good time seeing the other sides on my last 2.

hey @DannyLV702 ...what's up man, how ya been?

taking a break from pvp? busy, burnt out or just found something better to play on?

i still can't believe i'm as into the game still as i am after playing it now for about a year and a half...previously the longest was fallout 3 and skyrim where i did about 6 months on each...

no doubt if this was a single player game, or there was no pvp play in eso - i'd have been gone a long time ago...

i like though how if i really want to put the effort in - there's still a lot for me to learn and improve on...competing against folks in cyro (and especially IC) definitely hasn't gotten old to me yet...

for me part of the reason of not getting too burned out on the game i think is that i solo a lot...i noticed with groups the pace is a lot faster than what i normally play at - it's fun, but also a little more intense as far as making a point to contribute to the group and talking (sometimes after a day at work i just wanna crawl inside my own head for while)...

going where i want, when i want and being able to take a bunch of breaks while i'm playing (i'm sure more than a few of you have seen me sitting in a chair on top of some random keep or outpost - and probably killed me sitting there :)) really helps keep the game fresh for me...i've even taken to participating a little more in text chat...

i also think it helps a lot having multiple characters in each alliance...i'm excited to play certain characters or for certain alliances at different times...

right now i'm going through an "update" on most my characters...i had been trying to do a little bit of everything: magic, stamina, survivability, sustainability - that works fine in casual zerg play - not so much though in small group and 1 v 1 situations...so, i'm focusing now on focusing my characters playstyle better in the game...

so, that's kinda what's kept me interested in the last month or so...

hope i get a chance to see you out there playing scourge in cyro or IC - if you come across any of my splayed out characters (kinda creepy how sometimes dead players looking like they're writhing in agony :D), please shoot me an emote and say hi...

@Takes-No-Prisoner After OJ sent zone chat that AD sieging Glademist, I should've replied to jump down and fight your AD brethren. I had to drop for dinner so I couldn't see what happened after the wall fell. :/

When some of my EP guildies a year ago said they were going to create DC players for fun, it was hilarious seeing them with low level toons running with the DC zerg. That's when I decided to do the same.

Oh no not at all man! I just don't play as much as I'd like haha! I still love this game so much and pvp often, just not for long periods of time like I used to (because of full time work). But same here, I've never played a game for as long as this one. I originally bought the game for questing and such, thinking it'd be like skyrim lol. I almost quit after playing for a month but then decided to give pvp a try before "quitting". Ever since I stepped foot in cyrodiil, i cannot stop playing haha. Glad to see you enjoying it as much as I do.

One thing I really miss is dueling. I find it funny how dueling died the day they released dueling in pve areas :/

I'm pretty bad at dueling but when a 'safe' area formed in the arena district for duels it was great fun to go watch and see how long I could survive against those guys.
Dueling in pve zones lost that sense of danger where you had to watch your back because you were standing amongst a group of enemy faction players, not to mention the overspill from the DC EP war that raged by the spawn points constantly.
Hanging around the arena district was probably the most fun I ever had with the game.

    f6ba0cdf538220ec24711f5537251cf6.jpg

my first thought on boosting AP is that i don't really know for myself how important accumulating AP is anymore?

I'm not so sure how important AP is to other players - i mean look at all the bridge and outpost fights...unless you are actually defending an outpost - there's not a tremendous amount of AP in them...

other than wanting to reach 100k AP each campaign (tier 3 payout comes to around 100k each campaign for me) - the AP itself doesn't really mean much...and, getting to 100k AP normally only takes about 4 to 6 hours for me...

"the golden" is cool, but, i guess i need to look a little closer at all the stuff you are able to purchase with AP...

it's funny, getting 25 AP for a resource and 100 Ap for an IC flag sure seemed pretty low in the past - so, i do appreciate them bumping it up considerably...

I guess more than anything at this point - i'd like to see a little more usefulness from what you can buy with the AP...

I used to play some Star Wars game where players established a light sabre dueling area on a landing pad. I forget the name of the game but it was super good fun, much like the arena district was.
I completely agree a little tinkering with the arena district would make a perfect dueling and small scale area. Clear the NPC's from the central arena and put some areas in for players to watch from. I'd spend a lot of my time there too.
They could have transformed the Imperial City districts into some awesome pvp zones with a bit of work. Shame they went the easy route of just dumping flags in there.

I think it's a good change. From a DC perspective we lose a lot of good players to AP farming sometimes so hopefully if capturing is the best way to get AP then we won't be dragging so far behind in the campaign.
I notice AD is starting to lose groups to AP farming outposts and towns now too.
I get that people want AP and that's fine but it's unhealthy for the campaign when people can't take any keeps because so many people are away farming.
I wonder how this will affect the leader boards. Might be seeing a few different names up there soon.

That DC Zerg v EP Zerg last night was fun. It's a small MMO world to see you 3 times now in a week on both my DC and EP toons and we're both on the same alliance that same night. I've seen Drogskol when I'm on my AD toon as well.
