had a chance to jump on all sides at some point this weekend....man, the way EP was hammering AD - it seemed kind of personal...but - then again, AD was only 1k away from EP and the lead...so, it definitely makes good sense if you're EP to hammer away at AD...

couple of times though, i felt a little bad for AD...that's a looooong mount ride when you have to come out of your starting area just to have a chance to jump in to the action and play...

i'm starting to get a sense though that DC is getting a little tired of sitting in third now all the time...not sure if they'll be able to turn it around this campaign (15 more days to go), but, i wouldn't be surprised at all if DC re-establishes themselves at the beginning of our next campaign...

Yeah, like, no one is gonna show up if they know you have a toon on another alliance. This is why I have AD only chars, cause all I do is PVP. Trust goes a heck of a long way.

The biggest thing I see, is no one uses the direction UI at the top of the screen. When I tell people, 'Hey the enemy is SW at Alessia." Anyone around the keep can turn their compass to SW and go, 'OH! They're in this direction!' I find that to be super helpful instead of saying, 'Over there'.

AD made a habit out of hitting Kingscrest, Farragut, and often Bruma/Dragonclaw too last campaign (which they won). It wasn't the whole faction most times, just a 8-man farming group but they were persistently flipping our back keeps for weeks. That's why I don't really feel too bad for turning the tables a little when we can.

I agree that DC seems to be happier farming Sejanus than capping keeps this campaign (Must have been 30+ of them holed up in that outpost for a time last night) but between AD and EP it's been very competitive and it has made for some epic fights. It's funny how each faction now has some very well-known players and when you see them, you know you're in trouble... lol

it's funny, so I have at least two characters in each alliance (3 for EP and DC)...without question - when I play the different alliances I have distinct feelings for the other two...

even though DC hasn't been on top for over a month and a half, when I play either AD or EP, my first instinct is to go fight against them (for all the months of punishing those particular characters within those alliances)...

when I'm playing DC - it seems like my life's meaning is to try and win back aleswell from EP (or, on rare occasion AD)...unless I plan on going to IC, for some reason I'm a little less motivated to go try to recapture ash (that and ash is one of the easier keeps to defend, great fields of view)...

as much as it's just a game, and, it's all for fun...pretty darn hard not to get your feelings hurt a little from time to time :)

DC seems to be playing much better over the last week. People are responding to 911 calls much faster and taking back important keeps rather than continuously faceplanting into Chalman all day. People even pulled back from an emp push to play defence today.
We won't pull back enough points to get us out of last place now so I'm quietly rooting for EP to win this time. AD seem to be better coordinated though taking Nikel and Ash at the same time just before I got off today.
This is when I really enjoy PvP, when groups of all sizes from all alliances play good tactics. The fights seem to be more intense and varied. I got into all sorts of mischief from surfing the zerg to small scale defending.

I agree - DC came alive last night. My last battle before logging off was running solo fighting alongside my faction in an epic EP defense of Blue Road Keep around 11pm Eastern. First a wave of AD to deal with, then just after we got the walls back up DC showed up in force and took down the north wall. That was soon followed by the East inner wall, while simultaneously dropping the front door to under 20%. The numbers were strong, the fights on the flags were intense, and when it was over, I think a fair number of us were amazed that we had managed to hold it. Good times...

Logged off at midnight Mountain time when the BRK defense finally died down - at least for that moment. AD finally worked to take back Roe and Alessia from DC rather than charging BRK from Dlowe since EP finally took it back. That was quite the tri-alliance war for several hours. One defense tick was 45K. Saw you again @geonsocal at BRK.

Zone chat has been toxic with EP this past week. Amazing that we're in the lead with guilds constantly fighting. The racist comments between players is unfortunate.

I've been playing this campaign for a long time now and lately it has been the best its ever been. Huge three way battles (at places other than the bridge), a couple months ago DC won, then AD won, now EP is leading. There were months without much population. There were times when one faction was just steamrolling everyone (not fun). Now we seem to have some balance, and it has never been more fun. Thanks everyone and see you on the battlefield.

Honestly, Scourge lately has started to leave me feeling a little jaded.

We have a small number of players from all factions exploiting the "in the ground" glitch to walk through walls and do everything from ganking people in keeps to stealing scrolls from unflagged keeps and even gated temples.

Yes, and most of them are people who are well known in Scourge and have held Emp multiple times before, including one in the current campaign (hint: it ain't gooch or binibrasco)... playing on their yellows while glitching through the stairwell outside of a blue keep and using chains to farm people. A shame that players who are good enough to make AP the right way would stoop to that.

don't know where in the world you all might be at this moment - but, it's been pretty rainy out here in cali - just wanted to stick a little warm beach vibe into the thread :p

yeah ballcap - it is definitely nice not to have DC steamrolling the map all the time...i will say though - depending on where and when you log on, the playing experience can be very different...

hey misterbastahrd - had a chance to read through a bunch of your recent posts - you most certainly seem to know what you're talking about, glad to also see you're into the crafting business...

just wondering - are both of you committed to playing for just one alliance - or, have you seen the campaign from different perspectives?

that's my subtle way of trying to corrupt all you loyal alliance folks and have all of scourge populated by mercenary minded individuals like myself (my goodness, could you even imagine what a hot mess the map would be if no one cared about the alliance war - yeah, probably not such a great idea :#)

I just play AD. At one point I made a DC and EP character just to see what their starting areas in Cyrodiil looked like. They are low level characters and I never play them.

I'm a filthy casual - job, wife, kids, etc... While I've beaten normal Maelstrom and I can solo some normal four man dungeons, I've never completed a veteran dungeon, ever. I have made it to colonel in PvP and that's taken me a while. I've been in Scourge since it was Azura's Star (pre-nonchampion Azuras) though and I continue to play my heavy armor magic Templar as I have since the beginning. Both when it was meta and when it was not :) Talion the Mighty - so damn heroic he'll make your face hurt.

Best moment - throwing Total Dark on someone and watching them kill themselves.

Hey @geonsocal , I'm EP exclusive on my PVP toons. With the exception of maybe one campaign, I've been in every one in Scourge since Azura's flipped, and was in Azura for about a half year before that. I have 10 max level EP toons and two more AD characters who are used mainly for storage.

I once had a DC character, but somehow managed to punch an NPC as soon as I loaded into the game and spent the next 5 minutes trying to wait out a bounty while floating in the water... I had to put him down.

hmmmm, i have two templars but have never dabbled in "eclipse"...i really appreciate all the different builds and rotations (particularly those without regard for fotm meta's) that people come up with - yeah, if i had looked at my death recap i would have been seriously wondering what the heck just happened to me :)

playing EP last night and was standing at the flag of the brk mine kinda watching out for some DC players in the area - i saw a yellow flash and suddenly i was dead - some AD player (swifi ?) snuck up to the flag and hit me for 23.4k damage from "onslaught"...

I have a few 2 handed using characters - had never even thought to try out the 2 H ultimate...i might now though...

This my 2nd. I learned in the past it's best to pick and choose what you say carefully. Usually in zone chat I say something goofy or call myself a bad to try to reverse troll some of these people.

None ever do believe me when I keep calling myself a 'self proclaimed ultimate spy of DC / EP'. They all see right through me somehow. 1818.png

man, that was a blast from the past...it's been soooooo long since i've been on zone voice chat...i want to say the last time was when i heard some guy screaming/whining over and over that no one would invite him to a group...

after that, i made sure to keep off all my voice chat stuff...

it seems the later in the evening (out here in p.s.t. time zone) it gets, the worse it becomes...for awhile i was blocking folks, now i just look past those comments and focus on the fight...

i kinda look at it as one of those different strokes for different folks kinda things...it's sad that for some people even antagonistic contact with others is better than being alone; or, maybe that's all they have to offer to others (sadder still)...

Part of the reason for so much salt and hate is that the Cyrodiil on PS4 NA has become boring. It's just randoms farming randoms interspersed with very rare moments when a 60+ red/yellow/blue zerg takes over the map. Then leaves. It's so monotonous that it is no surprise people are picking fights in chat. Hopefully ZoS will start looking at PVP and do something to liven it up because it is worse than ever and I have being playing since beta. Let's face it, putting flag-capture points in a few towns hasn't done much and adjusting AOE caps will do even less.

I think your not alone with that @geonsocal the yellows have a love affair with blue. Red has the lead but instead of putting the foot in yesterday when they could have taken both red scrolls and retained the red home keeps, BRK, Alessia and Sej they stacked on Roe to defend a blue attack. Yellow defended Roe but at the cost of loosing all of the other keeps I mentioned in the process to red. Oh well I guess blue is helping red this campaign we look forward to receiving your support next campaign red ;)

howdy @ArgoCye ...yeah, it definitely feels more of the same much of the time...

for me, I'm still in the cycle of learning how to compete (build, gear, abilities, strategy) more effectively in pvp...so, many times when i'm out in cyrodiil or even IC, I'll be working on something build related...for me that's fun (as long as I don't need to get on my mount too often :#)...

I know I have some thoughts on improving pvp (make it like the old arena district in IC, only move AD's platform closer to DC & EP's platforms :p)...basically AvAvA "battlegrounds"...

truth is - i'm new to mmo/pvp, so I haven't really seen a lot of different variances on game play and what "could" work or would be better...

do you have any ideas on how to improve pvp play?

When I logged in yesterday evening 6pm MST, AD had closed the gap to 600 points and took both scrolls from EP. EP spent the next several hours trying to get BRK back and finally got one of the scrolls back by midnight and pushed AD back to their gates. Awesome battles.

When I was on my DC toon, I saw text chat telling a player to go back to EP. I recognized the player tag. He said he was on DC to get revenge on an EP guild. And then later I saw a Keep claimed with name taunting that said player.

It's funny how DC "gooch" kept jumping on his EP toon to taunt us with funny comments. Good fun between different alliance players.

so, been getting the hang of the resto staffs (started with my mag sorc , now my magplar), definitely a good group tool, it was tough though, for my mag sorc had to give up SnB on one bar and for my magplar had to finally give up on my huge 2H battle axe :(...respecced them to get at least 50 points into magicka...for my templars i've even put aside my normal Lingering Ritual heals for Breath of Life...turned my breton stamblade in to a magblade...

spiritually it's been a bit of a rough transition...next time i head into IC though - i'd like to be competing on a bit more of an even playing field...

I've got a question for ya'll...getting closer to being ready to start popping pots...

any hints for a decent quickslot setup for the pots plus siege and repair kits...

@wazzz56 was kind enough to share some info on the pots he's using:

    Sometime last week near Bleakers when AD attempted to emp push;

He caught me when I failed to escape, I saw him run out of Bleakers again and served him up a vengeful helping of Crystal Frag + Endless Fury combo

He got two shotted, with that build I would hope so lol

    @geonsocal

Get Alchemy to lv50. I have it on all my toons. There is a passive that increases duration of potions used by 30%. Very very helpful for Immovable potions.

As for potion rotation on the wheel, I put Immovable on top then buff potions on the left and right with whatever I need. Siege at the bottom and food is always on the left (if the wheel looked like a clock, my food sits on 8 'o Clock)

Also get your Provisioning up. There is a drink and food passive that increases duration of any food/drink consumed for an additional +15 Minutes. This is really important for PvP, cause if your food buff dies you can be in serious trouble.
