Back-capping usually happens if we're not making any progress at all on the front lines. Scoring is secondary in those instances, but it's definitely a consideration when determining what (and who) to hit
EP is much better than they used to be at zone chat calls, although we have to evaluate the source of the call as well (Oddly, there will be times when one or two AD/DC faithful will "infiltrate" our zone chat specifically to try and pull us in the wrong direction.... ha ha)

AD made a habit out of hitting Kingscrest, Farragut, and often Bruma/Dragonclaw too last campaign (which they won). It wasn't the whole faction most times, just a 8-man farming group but they were persistently flipping our back keeps for weeks. That's why I don't really feel too bad for turning the tables a little when we can....man, the way EP was hammering AD - it seemed kind of personal...but - then again, AD was only 1k away from EP and the lead...so, it definitely makes good sense if you're EP to hammer away at AD...
I agree - DC came alive last night. My last battle before logging off was running solo fighting alongside my faction in an epic EP defense of Blue Road Keep around 11pm Eastern. First a wave of AD to deal with, then just after we got the walls back up DC showed up in force and took down the north wall. That was soon followed by the East inner wall, while simultaneously dropping the front door to under 20%. The numbers were strong, the fights on the flags were intense, and when it was over, I think a fair number of us were amazed that we had managed to hold it. Good times...DC seems to be playing much better over the last week. People are responding to 911 calls much faster and taking back important keeps rather than continuously faceplanting into Chalman all day. People even pulled back from an emp push to play defence today.
Honestly, Scourge lately has started to leave me feeling a little jaded.
We have a small number of players from all factions exploiting the "in the ground" glitch to walk through walls and do everything from ganking people in keeps to stealing scrolls from unflagged keeps and even gated temples.
I've been playing this campaign for a long time now and lately it has been the best its ever been. Huge three way battles (at places other than the bridge), a couple months ago DC won, then AD won, now EP is leading. There were months without much population. There were times when one faction was just steamrolling everyone (not fun). Now we seem to have some balance, and it has never been more fun. Thanks everyone and see you on the battlefield.
just wondering - are both of you committed to playing for just one alliance - or, have you seen the campaign from different perspectives?
that's my subtle way of trying to corrupt all you loyal alliance folks and have all of scourge populated by mercenary minded individuals like myself (my goodness, could you even imagine what a hot mess the map would be if no one cared about the alliance war - yeah, probably not such a great idea )

it's funny, so I have at least two characters in each alliance (3 for EP and DC)...without question - when I play the different alliances I have distinct feelings for the other two...
even though DC hasn't been on top for over a month and a half, when I play either AD or EP, my first instinct is to go fight against them (for all the months of punishing those particular characters within those alliances)...
when I'm playing DC - it seems like my life's meaning is to try and win back aleswell from EP (or, on rare occasion AD)...unless I plan on going to IC, for some reason I'm a little less motivated to go try to recapture ash (that and ash is one of the easier keeps to defend, great fields of view)...
as much as it's just a game, and, it's all for fun...pretty darn hard not to get your feelings hurt a little from time to time

When I was on my DC toon, I saw text chat telling a player to go back to EP. I recognized the player tag. He said he was on DC to get revenge on an EP guild. And then later I saw a Keep claimed with name taunting that said player.
It's funny how DC "gooch" kept jumping on his EP toon to taunt us with funny comments. Good fun between different alliance players.
That player has killed me more times than I can count. Mad respect for his bombing skills. Always an eye-roll at the time, of course... but he knows how to stealth and knows how to build a character packed with explosives... lolTakes-No-Prisoner wrote: »gooch the DC guy with 3 Stars next to his name?
Potions....I cannot stress the importance of pots......I slot 4 pots on my healbot (immov. + mag+health, detection , Invis, and trash stam for when I have to stay move extended periods in stealth..being argonian makes tri pots insane btw) I run immov + spell crit+ mag on my bomb blade and keep detect pots slotted ( i have these slotted on all toons in pvp)..I use tripots on my other mag blade.....weapon power pots on stamsorcs... I love potions...
