I beg to differ.
Dude! The clanfear set is crazy on magblades!
In all seriousness, after the last 2 days of people testing new stuff and reporting back about results, as well as my own review of everything...
I am genuinely concerned about the long term health of cyrodiil. Not being a chicken little here either, if these changes all go live in the state they are in, 2 months tops before PvP in this game is truly dead.

How many times has this been said every patch and yet pvp seems to have more players than ever.

Bodies, debatable, good players no.
Most of the experienced players from earliest in the game have long long ago left. Each bad patch we lost more. What you see are the leftovers, the holdouts, and the continuous replacement that is inherent to an MMO.
But those replacements do not keep up with the losses, Cyrodiil today has 1 (maybe 2 on the weekends) campaign locked, just a year ago we would have three or even four, two years ago we had six or more, fully poplocked campaigns virtually all hours of the day.
And the pop caps were bigger back then as well.
If you honestly believe the Cyrodiil population is anywhere near what it was in 2014, you need to go watch some old videos of the game where quite literally 200 or more people would be on a scroll running it back.

Calm down, Rylana. My statement was more to the point of the constant doom and gloom hysteria (mostly from YOU) about pvp "dying". It's not. There are loads of people still playing and new players all the time. Did we lose some good players? Yep. But who is to say they wouldn't have left anyway? Peeps gonna do what peeps gonna do. But is one patch going to make the entire pvp pop quit? Unmmmm, no. Relax. It will sort itself out and always does.
Reading the new patch notes I lost all hope in ZOS. PvP balance just got thrown out the window, stamina/magicka balance is worse than its ever been and there's no class balancing in the patch. I fear for the future of PvP in this game if some of these changes aren't altered. Everyone wanted weapon ultimates, well here you go. Everyone thought Stamina was strong before, if these changes go live the only magicka builds you'll see will be healers.

I flat out refuse to be led by the nose by the devs as to whether to play stam or mag. I agree this is getting ridiculous that they're giving stam yet another boost! We need to just start calling it Elder Stamina Online, I guess.

I wish I felt the same way, but when I go in Cyrodiil on my Magicka DK or Magicka NB I feel so weak in comparison to all the stamina builds that populate Cyrodiil to the point where I rage quit and switch to my Stam characters. I honestly don't know if I'll be playing after 2.6 hits if some of these changes go through
You know what I love most about that? People are using their normal attacks because they don't have infinite resources. You can just hit someone and they can't heal from 30% to full with a single skill. Granted, everyone is below level 20 but I think this is what the PVP would need. Just make stuff LESS OP.Seriously Jauriel, educate yourself

This was beta, right before launch. You think the populations are anywhere near what it was early in the game? Seriously?
Watch especially from 4 minutes onward.

I find I am forced to play my magblade in a different manner than I would if we actually had class balance. And I'm investing in poisons that drain stamina. I wish I didn't have to focus so hard on only countering all the OP stamina builds out there. It's so stupid. This is why I have to get totally blacked out drunk to play anymore.

I refused to use poisons for so long, but I'm seriously considering using them on my magicka builds just so I can have something to counter the stamina builds.
I tried to make magblade work for me but it just wasn't happening. If I went dual wield I get rekt by stamina builds that are far superior in melee. If I go destro, stamina builds dodge every other attack so I can't freaking kill them. Build a little tankier and I can't kill anything Grrr buff mag blade please.

Without a doubt magblade is the most difficult class to play and has been since launch. I like a challenge but at times it does feel the devs have a serious vendetta against us. Yes, start equipping poisons. It does make a difference! I've had mine on my daggers but last night changed to my Resto. Seems weird, I know but hey why not try it? I guess for me I gave up hoping and wishing for balance a long time ago and honestly analyzing and agonizing over patch notes is enough to make one slit their wrists. Some stuff won't even make it to live so why let it ruin your fun? As long as it's fun still I still play. There are more things in this patch I agree with than disagree with so I'm trying to remain somewhat positive.
Anyway I think I have to agree with Rylana to a certain extent here. These changes will cause an extreme negative effect on PvP which will lead to large amounts of people leaving the game. But it won't necessarily mean the death of PvP. There are some resilient players here who will play through this awful patch and hope for something better in 2.7, and there are also those players who somehow like these changes and will run around Cyrodiil with their OP stamina meta builds.
I unfortunately am one of the people stamping their feet in frustration and throwing a tantrum because now I have to choose between an awful game or getting a life and talking to actual people irl.
PvP won't die. Sure people will leave but like someone said previously, who's to say some of them wouldn't have left anyway? But some will come back if/when things improve, and there's always the new players coming in to keep the population at a somewhat healthy level. Theres some hope still for this game.

Personally I like seeing all the new faces in pvp. It gets stale seeing all the same OP self proclaimed leets running around the same choke points and same battle areas. I myself have made a new friend.
But yes, I will patiently wait for the devs to throw us mag players some love again. Even just a morsel would do.

Agree 100% about new faces. Alhough I do feel bad when I kill one and they whisper me

WTF are you on about? Mageblade was the way to play from launch until 1.6.
