All of my hype for dueling has been ruined by all of these new sets. For every okay magic set, it seems like there's two or three insane stamina sets. How can I compete against somebody getting 50k+ max stam with Draugr Hulk? How is it fair that the Spider Cultist cowl set only gives extra spell damage to destruction staff abilities, but the Automaton set gives extra weapon damage to ALL phyiscal damage abilities?


I really, really hope ZOS redesigns several of these sets before the patch goes out, as there's a lot wrong with them. But I'll be surprised if all but the absolute most game-breaking bugs get fixed in time.

I'm so *** scared of sorcs getting that major protection minor defile undaunted set. Shields aren't effecTed by defile. You are litreally allowing every sorc to have perma 30% dmg reduction for no trade off. Wrobel is a mad man

Stamina, Block, and Tank builds get massive increases over their already FOTM status and you're complaining about an undaunted set that I wouldn't slot on my sorc? Come on, man.

Shields aren't affected by defile, but even the best sorcs can't keep up shields 100% of the time. There's going to be times when you're going to need your surge or ward heals, and if you stack Major Defile on top of that, they're almost healing for half. No thanks.

I couldn't disagree more, I'm a PvPer mainly and from what I read about every change that affects PvP at all the only problem is the Two Hander Ultimate because it lets people steal another's resistance (that's broken as hell and that ability to buff yourself with your enemy's resistance needs to be removed, but it would be fine without that), everything else looked like an awesome and overdue change to me. All these changes in general sound great apart from Two-Hander, sure there's more they could have done but they did a lot with these changes and I have hopes that they'll do more in the future to take this game back in the right direction.

OT: As a stamina main, I can't believe they haven't nerfed stamina/buffed magicka. I couldn't believe what I read (or in this case, did not read because it wasn't there...) in the patch notes.

I like most of the sets to be fair, some need toning down but I doubt ZOS will do that based on their track record of fixing/balancing stuff from PTS. It's clear that bomb set that makes you look like a alien is OP as *** as well as others. It brings variety, but some are just completely underwhelming or completely overwhelming.

The patch notes make sense in that they are written in comprehensible manner. However, the lack of class balance changes combined with the significant increase in gear options is very concerning. ZoSe does not have a good track record when it comes to introducing new sets, so I expect the balance issues will just get worse. This is before even seeing what kind of impact the weapon ultimate swill have.

Its funny you think they should have made more changes instead of as many as they did and await further analysis.

She's the only person who feels that way as far as I know. I am vocal about stam/magicka imbalance, but I'm chill other than that. Jules had a meltdown in a guild chat because she jumped into my group of 3 with 4 other EP following her and we killed them. I didn't see her "roast," but it probably resulted from that. Not exactly much to recover from. Honestly Jules and I were fine before then. Not sure what's up with her now, but oh well.

OT: Yea I was surprised as well. Stamina needs to be toned down. I am pretty excited for a lot of the new magicka, tanking, and healing set mechanics, though, and for One Tamriel. The game is going to immediately feel 3x more populated outside of Cyrodiil, if not more, and people will be running around outside of the usual areas more. I look forward to the world feeling larger and more full, even if PvP is still shafted.

The game is just beyond hope now. If so many people enjoyed 1.6> more than what consoles were introduced to I have no idea how you guys are still playing on PC. We lost like half of our decent players with IC, 90% of our decent guilds with thieves guild, and everything else in the next three months. Just looking at the average quality of what's left on our platform is just disappointing, its just hordes of pugs running into each other over and over again without any real strategy or coordination. To think I'm actually going to have to pick up an fps again...

It's funny that you think that Zose will do further analysis after introducing all the new sets when experience tells us that is not something they do. Change may happen if enough PUG tears flow, but the change won't be the result of any analysis of the game.

This is essentially what PC campaigns have become.

2.6/update 12 is the update that I am most disappointed about. The market ZOS cares about is the Skyrim ultra-casual who runs DLC dailies. Now ZOS is applying the Orsinium model to the rest of the game.

These players mindlessly zerg world bosses, so of course they are looking for the same mindless experience in PVP.

I do not fault ZOS for catering to this audience, however I fault ZOS for ignoring the audiences this game was originally marketed and sold to -- the players that carried ESO through its rough launch and supported it.

I do not like ZOS.

I wish that was an option for me but I have a potato laptop that's only good for forum pvp and loading into the PTS at 5 fps at min quality to look over the new broken sets. Luckily pretty much everyone I've talked to about the BF 1 beta has given sterling reviews so I think I'll do just fine with my PS4 for now.
