Crafters, how do you feel whenever they release a new motif?

Hmm longest gring so far in the game, for the least reward.
I spent a year and a bit learning, lots of money on getting the traits,mto get to the point where Farmed sets across all builds are more desirable, can't sell because it's less desirable. So I don't really care about motifs so much anymore. If I do I treat it like other achievements. Having said that I have all but malacath and this content ones but because of the lack of reward and the equipment that even I want is farmed, I'm starting to not care.

The fact that newer motifs get broken down in chapters is very annoying. To a point that I've given up trying to keep up.

I'll wait for the Ra Gada and Yokudan motifs, and then I will not collect any other motif at all unless it is unsurpassingly beautiful.

Now I only farm them to profit - sell them.

I would say yay if there was only one new motif for each DLC - even two - but four or more (I can't even keep track anymore) every few months is a little exhausting to even think about. Too much work in my game = not as much fun!

I would say yay if one of the master crafter perks was that I could change the style on my existing crafted armor to any other style I have learned.

I do like making money from the pages, but overall I say ugh.

Collecting stuff is fun, I waited to start collecting most of the new motifs, now I have a lot of different things I can do to expand my collection.

Back when the only option was to run in circles in Old Orsinium over and over and over? Ugh.

I know people who have given up entirely on collecting motifs because the page-by-page grind is ridiculous, I love that there are new styles but it's getting very overwhelming to chase them all.

I also agree that we need a restyle option. I really need to remake some armor pieces for my stamblade but I'm waiting for the Yokudan motif to come out before I do it, and some of the BIS dropped sets look absolutely awful.

I don't mind new Motif, what annoys me is I have no real way of previewing what it looks like without actually making it and wearing it!
About time ZOS pulled their fingers out and allowed you to preview before making.

The saturation of new motifs in the last new releases has completely cured me of being a completionist. I used to have to have all the motifs, ASAP after release. But after the SotH update released so many, and made the process of getting them so grindy, RNG heavy, and generally dumb, I now view any motifs as a source of Gold. I don't need all of them anymore, I don't need any of them. It's not worth the hassle.

So I feel "yaaaay, more gold" when new, multipage motifs are released.

Yeah back when they released ONE new motif to find at a time and it didnt come in 14 freaking pages, it was fun and I loved it. Its just so much of a grind now it kinda ruins the fun of it. Im actually quite behind on knowing everything (again) bc I just dont have time for it. Well, I do, thats just not how I wish to spend my time, lets just say that lol!

The other option is ofc to wait until it floods the market and buy them, which I have done for certain motifs however the requires large sums of gold. Also fine but Im tired of that grind as well.

I am never going to have every motif, and I have come to terms with that.

I don't have any Glass, because I don't see the point in bothering to grind for a chance for a page that might be useful (at 10k gold per raffle chance!), and nobody in my guild wants glass anyway. I only have a few pages of Ancient Orc because I stumbled across them, but nobody wants them either so why bother?

I have half of Trinimac and most of Malacath; I still want Trinimac shoulders.

I have the majority of the Dro'mathra motif already because it's so easy to get, and we do mechanics runs of Maw for newbies a lot. Since the motif dropped it's been really easy to fill the Maw groups so I am happy with that.

Most of my armors for my characters are Khajiit and Argonian, although my Healer runs Trinimac right now and I love the Soul Shriven weapons. Most of my requests are for "something that looks cool" (I do Primal or Imperial for these with a barbaric belt) or Daedric/Xivkyn armor or Alliance motif shields and weapons. Staves are the only ones people ask for in great variety, so I try to get all the motifs I can for those.

Aside from that, I don't care.

The endless grinding to get the pieces you want (or worse if you want them all). Some are really annoying to get, like the one you need to do the perfect DB quests for...
Added to that the fact that also the style stones are split up in raw style materials, doesn't make it any better.

The only good thing about some of these new motifs is that they look like absolute ***, so I have no trouble skipping them.

Generally yah but with SotH I'm feeling a bit ugh. I don't mind them dropping in chapters (glass in fragments was too much and hopefully they never do that again). 4 motifs with SotH with how they're obtained and the drop chance just feels like too many to get and too grindy to me. I don't see the price for most of them dropping enough to make buying them an option for most people either as at some point people will stop grinding them and move on to something else. Before SotH I was down to needing about half the akaviri chapters and half the abahs watch motifs. I've got hardly any chapters for the 4 new motifs (and I've just had a week off work and have probably played about as much as I'd play in a month in this week). Unless there are no new motifs for the next update/dlc or 2 I don't see myself ever catching up.

I enjoy collecting new styles. Besides being 9 trait crafter, number of styles know helps to keep "Grandmaster Crafter (knows every style, and trait)" from a Master Crafter (the ones only know a few styles) and baby crafers (do not know any styles or a few traits).

Having a hard goal (collect the 14 chapters for a style) is not always bad. Working for a goal is better than being spoon feed all the time.

Ugh, because I use to have 3 crafters and the work is just too much for the motifs now. Ugh because you can't convert old gear in style. Ugh that it doesn't earn the style for the whole account.

Yay because I like them adding new styles and its nice to earn.

I had everything. I stopped collecting with DB. I like that we have lots of motifs, but my tolerance for the grind of so many pages was exceeded. I bought Thieves and Assassins when they got cheap, but skipped Abah's Watch. If someone wants me to craft them a Minotaur chest, they can go grind/buy the page I need or level up and do the research themselves. (And no, I don't expect this to happen.)

Yay! because more options, duh. Ugh though because I've usually just finished collecting all of the last bunch.

I do agree that it would be nice if there were a way to change the motif of your armor based on what you've learned without having to re-craft, if for no other reason than I would like to also be able to change my non-crafted sets to match my crafted stuff. I also just like to switch my look up frequently.

I only chase Motifs once they have dropped in price. I don't do most of the farming activities for the new motifs, too much RNG there. I also have yet to see a motif that is all that much more attractive than the base Motifs they launched the game with. This is a personal preference and people like what they like, I just don't like the new stuff enough to worry all that much if I can make it or not. And, certainly not enough to do the RNG Farming Grind to get it.

I recently completed some of the new motifs, farming in the guild stores for the chapters. I do like the Assassin Motif and will probably use that on my next set of gear for my NB. Once I figure out if I am keeping him Stamina or moving back to Magic.

This weekend I put 4 modifs on the wrong crafter, I have a blacksmith crafter and put all the modifs for blacksmith on my woodworker.. now that is a ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Oh ya that reminds me:
Someone in my guild suggested that ZOS should make Modifs account wide ( or for ESO+ Members ). That would be really nice.
