I love this game, and (for me) it's definitely the best MMO out there right now that fits my personal play style and aesthetic. BUT THIS DOWNTIME REALLY SUCKS. The 12 hour downtime today is particularly terrible but in general 4 hours every week really sucks, especially when, as so many people have expressed in this thread, some people have limited schedules! I feel even worse for the EU users. I also feel that we are treated like Zeni doesn't owe us any explanations for why these things happen, that it's just tough and we need to get over it. When you sub to something, you want it to work, and when it doesn't work, you want good customer service, good communication. I won't be canceling my sub because at this point, it's pointless. I paid up until next July because I love this game. AT THE VERY LEAST please communicate with us better, Zeni. Send your moderators to the forums a bit quicker so we don't get as frustrated and pent up over the bad service.

A friend of mine deleted his ESO today and returned to GW2. He hate that unbelievable patching and maintenance over the day. If you want to have EU gamer you should use the early time at 4 am for maintenance.

Well I don't suppose you've read B. Russell In Praise of Idleness, but if ZOS's maintenance times must be taken as an example, you Yanks sure work a lot for precious few results.

You all do realize that if they were making money by the hour for consumers who play this game, they would have gotten maintenance down to a few hours at most. There is no reason for this level of inefficiency.

I'm doing other things right now when I don't pop on the forum, things I'm actually beginning to enjoy more than this game.... hmmmm?

Lucky today was one of my 4 workdays this year so I havent missed much.
But all jokes aside I think the most people in this thread are EU residents AFTER their work.
