Patch notes are up. How long before we are playing the game

I'm very upset like everyone else but I will probably end up throwing my money at this game because I love it too much.

That is really sad too, this game was actually Very Enjoyable.

But I will not and I do not have to pay for 30 days of game play when I am only getting 26 days.

(2 days each week of almost 12 hours of downtime per day) . (1/2 day x 2 per week= 1 whole day of paying for nothing) (1 day lost each week x 4 weeks in a month = 4 days of paying for nothing) 30 - 4 = 26 days of actual game play I am paying for.
$14.99 / 30 = 0.4996666666666667 per day x 4= 1.998666666666667 per month I lose with these Extended Downtimes. And if I stayed for a whole year that would be $23.984 of Income that I might as well have just tossed out a window for some one else to enjoy.

Some of you may Scoff at the the loss of $25 a year, but when you are Disabled and only live off of $700 a month, well that $25 a year is quite precious to you.

I have definately learned my lesson well from this game/company.

I myself am taking a break from SWTOR, as I was playing that since early access. I found this game and also played a few days before subbing. I did a 3 month sub, which was my mistake. I think all the years SWTOR has been live, that only once did they have a 12 hour downtime due to error. I think this game would have more subs after two years if things like this were not happening on a constant bases. If they can fix these long maintenance times in the 2 months I have left, I may stick around, but I am already looking for a new MMO or will go back to SWTOR.

P.S - I have also installed pre-cu SWG, so may get into that. It is at least totally free, and truly and open sandbox game. Just not the graphics we are accustomed too now a days.

well its not right when you put it that way & I Am sorry you had to experience all this loss. but then again @ZOS is no where near the other successful MMO's yet, its only been out for what 2 years now? , there like a Child being compared to an Adult.
Maybe they start getting there maintenance stuff in order but I don't see it happening anytime soon.They have A lot of issues to address not only in game but outside it too. So its probably gonna take them a long while to correct everything.

Don't make excuses for them. It's not like ZOS started this thing on their own. They were created the for the sole purpose of bringing a TES mmo to their fans, by both Zenimax and Bethesda....neither of which is a "child" in the industry. This is a customer service issue more than a technical one. Proper communication and updated info are key to keeping your customers happy...and ZOS has failed on both counts from DAY 1, and continue to do so. Literally hundreds of questions/concerns have gone entirely unanswered since launch, while multiple patches have been released, and server maintenance periods gone by, that could/should have addressed those issues.

@ZOS_JessicaFolsom Did you (or the company for what matters) figure out what the outstanding issue was? I really want t know how outstanding it is and why "misteriously" it didn't happen to EU server.

Or if it did happen, why the EU team didn't grabbed the phone and told "Hey NA, folks! The problem is this, this and this and you solve like this, this and that! Cya!"

So are you going to stop this idiotic practice of doing both servers at the same time. EVERY single time it has gone wrong when you have tried.

Go back to 2 AM eastern for US servers and 2 AM CET for EU servers on another day for patching like you used to do please.

I really don't think it would be to much for an ESO team member to keep relying support information from the patch as it goes on every 30 min or so.

Patching happens once a week for the most part and takes an astronomical amount of time IMHO. (without information on what it takes to patch these servers)

Maybe... a break down of the steps of what it takes to patch the the game would help the players understand why it takes this much time to patch the game etc.

I think this process would help us all understand why the down time is needed.
