I just play Morrowind (with overhaul mod) when the servers are down... I highly recommend it, it's a lot of fun!

I am curious why those who are writing the excessively smug posts bitterly complaining about any complaints are taking their time to whine incessantly about something that will always exist.

People will complain and gripe when they disagree or feel shortchanged, as long as a MMO forum exists there will be someone complaining about something not working right or not available, nothing you say will change that but that is not the point is it?

Addicted to that smug "I'm better then them" afterglow are you? Whatever it takes to make moms basement seem just a little more cheery eh?

Did you really accomplish anything but trying to shame them for stating an opinion thus elevating your own stature? If you hate to view complaining about a game other folks pay money for, do not... I repeat to not .. open a complaint thread.

Personally I am trying to have hope that one of these extended maintenance sessions will result in a smoother game. I would love to renew my sub and enjoy this really fun MMO to it's fullest again.

Strange though, I un-subbed due to crashing, freezing and unstable ping last week ...but without the new DLC it's happens less often and was becoming playable again... was ...because who knows what we be waiting for us when the server gets online.

Years??? I just started playing this game a month ago, and did a 3 month sub. If this has been happening for years, that tells you something about this developer. I would have quit years ago if this was happening then. I have been playing MMO's for a very long time and have never played one that had a whole day down time on a regular bases every week.

It must be nice to be able to control your work days at your job. Some people have no say what days they work.
It is also the summer time, schools are mostly out, and people are on vacation.

It is just a game, and again, if this has been happening for years... how many subs have they lost over it? No people spending money will soon be no game to play.

Is there any way I can be granted an extra XP-earning boost on top of my experience scroll and training gear in order to compensate me for my lost game-time today which I was going to use to level my character?

He probably learned english in school and the rest he knows, is from online chats.
And I can tell you, english at german schools is..... not very profound. Because I'm german too. You learn some basics, but it's not enough to travel to the USA afterwards and live a carefree life. I learned 80% of my english on Xbox Live, Facebook and with google translator

I don't think it's fair to say Zeni doesn't care about EU players - they quite evidently do because the issues that exist on the EU server are present on the NA, and they're endeavouring to fix them. Unforeseen problems happen, it's an unfortunate but common occurrence in programming, but it shouldn't take a team of highly trained programmers nearly 10 hours to install and fix a 96Mb patch and then not explain to their paying customers why it took so long and why it happens so often. That is quite ridiculous and why I chose to cancel my sub several months back.

The problem is not that the maintenance has been extended, the problem is that you changed the European maintenance time some time ago from 02:00-03:00 am to 10 am.
So instead of doing it during the night you decided to move it to daytime (like you have a really stable system and that your maintenances are fast and without problems), so when you have problems like today it means we have the whole day without being able to play. If you would keep the old times, it just meant we were not able to play during the morning if such a 10h-12h maintenance, but yes it does means problably having 2 teams...

For me this means you need to give a compensation this is just ridiculous, the feeling I have is that the company doesn´t have enough resources to manage a game like this.

you had maintenances at 0200 in the morning? na server has always been at 8 until the 12+ maintenances when they started doing them at 6.

This is getting absolutely ridiculous, it's gonna be around 10pm in EU when and IF the servers come back, it is disrespecful to the customers, you give no compensation and you dont keep them up to date.

Worst company not just in 2016, but in general.

Ofc now the US players that cried all morning about EU players having no jobs, living in their mothers basement and other colourful remarks, are keeping their mouths shut cus it's affecting their afternoon too right?

Seriously can't wait for another mmo in the likes of GW2 or AA to get launched, so I can leave this monstrocity of customer support.

Day before yesterday, I got booted from the NA server. When I logged back in, I had completely lost the quest I was working on and had to reacquire it.

Yesterday, I experienced what was probably a 5-minute-rollback. Not sure if these are related to today's unexpected downtime, but it would be interesting to find out.

wow boys, i bought this about a month ago thinking "***, i'm not giving blizzard anymore money" but i guess there is a reason people play wow and other mmo's die out. It's because the competition sucks.

As said, i've played for a month (maybe less) and this is 4th or 5th time i get a 12 hour maintenance.. ridiculous. Also, this game is 2 years old already and it doesn't have (and never has had, according to more experienced players) a decently working grouping tool.. liek what?!

Was thinking of subscribing but *** me if i do now.
