    Journal of justicuar avanaire require you to read a book before it appears. I'm still figuring out which.

    Noticed it in the quote by someone else. I am pretty sure the wording for the Journal of Justicuar Avanaire meant "it no longer vanishes when you read some other book", not "it appears after you read some other book".

    That's because there *is* no fix for that yet. There's only the workaround - "group up with a player who has not yet finished the Cipher Akacirn quest".

    The same is also true of that missable book in the Galen library.

    Hmm, it seems to me that after some update, the library door is reopened after a quest or after completing the Galen main storyline.

    Hello, speaking about “Journal of Justiciar Avanaire”.... I'm currently not missing it, so I cannot help a friend of mine. He is telling me that after patch he is still not able to find it inside the "Tor Hame Khard" delve in Summerset... Please could someone help me to find what has he got to do to find this book ?
    I'm reading on today's patch notes: "“Journal of Justiciar Avanaire” is no longer hidden after you read a certain other book." What is this certain book???

    I asked support and they told me the book in question is "pearl research notes, page 3", which unfortunately is another quest book and disappears after you complete the quest. I too couldn't get this fixed, as I completed this quest a long time ago, and no, reading it out of your journal does not work.

    Still can't find the books listed as fixed in the patch notes:

    "The books "Onri Murien's Hidden Wishes," "Ilasaba's Excuses," and "Zeirinia's Silent Admission" can now be found within the Obscured Forum."

    I went through the whole interior (Obscured Forum is at Ravening Morass in Apocrypha) and didn't see anything. I can't enter the final room because I've already done the quest. Has anyone found these or does anyone know if they're in the final inaccessible room?

    Thanks.

    Yes I've found all three books, in the final room, and I've already done the quest long time ago... You should find two books upstairs, and the last on the low ground

    I wonder why the spawn of the book depends on the reading of another previous one, which itself disappears after finishing the quest. why make life difficult (or impossible) for players who for any reason were unable to read the book during the quest?
    In the case of my friend, he did the quest in group with me... I read the book which then disappeared, and my friend hadn't been able to read it. We were still new players, we didn't know that in this game to avoid bugs of this type you have to refuse the quest and do it all over again. I don't think players should be punished for years for bugs that they are absolutely not responsible for.
    Why not fix those disappearing books once and for all... so that everyone can read them after quests?

    Same exact thing hapoened to me, and I've put in many detailed bug reports on the matter, as it seems this bug of missing books because a group member picked them up is happening on not just this quest, but others too. I'm sure we need to give time time to work on a fix now, but it is unfortunate this patch's fix didn't address that particular issue.

    @ZOS_Kevin Chronicle of Apocrypha is still unobtainable (and as far as I know, there's no post-quest location).

    During the quest of the same name, the ceremony still breaks without the book being spawned.

    Oh, that's even worse than I thought! I missed that book on my original playthrough of the quests, and assumed I would just need help from a friend doing the quest to get back into that building. From what you're saying, it sounds like it doesn't show up anyway?

    Exactly. Or at least, it might show or not show based on some specific side quests you have or have not completed. In my case, I get:
    Scruut: Let it be known that the name of fate's chosen shall be entered into the Chronicle of Apocrypha, to be remembered forever for actions accomplished in service to fate.
    Meenai-Shai: That's not all, they also helped return three very important tomes to their proper place in the Sidereal Cloisters.

    ... None of the others present say anything, despite me having completed every side quest, and them acknowledging that if I /talk/ to them, but Scruut does not continue with her her "And fate's chosen confounded the forces of Vaermina and Peryite ..." line, nor spawns the book.

    So far, I have left the quest incomplete (abandoned it again), but I have tried a lot of things, including:

    * Dropping and restarting the quest;
    * Piggybacking along with someone else at that stage of the quest;
    * Changing zones at different points during the quest (before talking to Meln, after talking to Meln but before talking to Scruut, after talking to Scruut when it's already stuck);
    * Logging out (and completely quitting the game) at these points;
    * Making sure I have no pets/assistants/companions summoned (which was known to break at least two similar, i.e., having lots of scripted events, quests before).

    A friend of mine were questing together in blackwood and i read the Courier-Delivered Letter, which made the quest go forward, but now my friend was unable to read it and is missing it from the Eidetic Memory. The letter is no where to be found now that the quest is completed.

    I have also rushed through the whole questline with a character that has done no side quests except Azandar's unlock (none of the subsequent quests, either), and the same happens, the scene breaks up after a single comment:
    Scruut: Let it be known that the name of fate's chosen shall be entered into the Chronicle of Apocrypha, to be remembered forever for actions accomplished in service to fate.
    Azandar: They assisted me with the Fateweaver experiment!

    ... The book doesn't spawn.

    Hello,
    first of all congratulations for this good forum. It has already helped me a lot.
    Maybe someone can help me with these books.

    The Reach Reader:
    - Gray Host Intelligence Dispatch
    - Letter from Lady Belain
    - Letter from Sister Glynolde
    - The Library of Arkthzand

    I know that these books are all related to The Despot of Markarth and The Study of Souls quests, but unfortunately I must have missed them, even though I always pay close attention to the quests.

    Gray Host Intelligence Dispatch and Letter from Sister Glynolde are even shown on the map, but they are not there.

    Maybe someone has a tip, or I have to wait until they are delivered later.
    Many thanks already.

    Did you ever manage to get Gray Host Intelligence Dispatch post quest in the end?

    Can you explain me a current mechanics of refreshing books on the bookshelves of the Imperial City? I see different sets of books in different companies (CP and NoCP) only. Within each of these companies, books have not changed for at least 4 consecutive days and are the same for different characters (DC, AD, EP).
    I draw such conclusions based on a daily crawl of 32 bookshelves in Noble, Elven, Temple, Memorial + 3 inside Sewers + 11 on the alliances bases.
    I saw on Reddit that the refreshing occurs only after server "Maintenance for the week". Is it so?

    You have a very good opportunity to check that tomorrow.

    ... I dunno how it is now, previously (a few years ago), they've been refreshing every 48h at the longest, maybe even 24h.

    I can confirm that. Books remained the same before the maintenance. Now the content of bookshelves is updated. And I finally found "The Distributed Soul". If anyone is interested it's in one of bookshelves at Temple Rectory (Temple District).
