As my significant other so succinctly put it, "If they're not going to bother to make female armor, then why even have the female gender available in the game?"
They take the time to make new meshes accommodating Khajiit, Argonian, and sometimes Orc faces. But time spent making meshes for female bodies is apparently wasted time.

This is not unheard of in the video game industry. When Ubisoft presented Assassin's Creed Unity at E3 a few years ago, they stated they would not add female characters to the game:
“It was on our feature list until not too long ago, but it’s a question of focus and production. So we wanted to make sure we had the best experience for the character. A female character means that you have to redo a lot of animation, a lot of costumes. It would have doubled the work on those things… And I mean it’s something the team really wanted, but we had to make a decision. It’s unfortunate, but it’s a reality of game development.”
James Therien, Technical Director, Ubisoft, Assassin's Creed Unity.
Clearly, Zenimax has included women in the game. But IF an explanation every comes on this issue, I'm expecting it to sound a lot like this.
Which is a shame, because there are some really cool women working for this company, including @ZOS_GinaBruno and @ZOS_JessicaFolsom.

Why even have female characters in game if they'll end up being men with big butts and weirdly feminine faces.

Boobies are a normal body part, like leg or ear. I wonder why don't they do that in reverse, I mean female into male. Or something.
At leat we have a reason to use old styles... But that's a very stupid reason.
Exactly. And imo neglecting female characters like this is kinda sexist. Like its shameful to have breasts.

It's not shameful to have them. it's shameful to acknowledge them.

As a transgender woman, I can tell you for sure that I prefer my characters appear feminine.

GOD FORBID someone shows a teat. ***. Boob. Melon. Breast. Etc.
Get over yourselves, puritans.

Just to be clear - this issue really isn't anything to do with censoring female sexuality - it's ZOS deciding to cut corners.
They have chosen to save money by no longer taking the time to design female armour.

Wow, that is even worse than the censorship thing. If that is the real reason I can't even...Really, ZOS? You took so much care to represent bodies and weights appropriately to every race and to save money in that department is really petty.

Yep. That's the real reason. Not ZOS caving to some mysterious cabal of FemiNazis. And yes, it is petty. Greedy. ACTUALLY sexist. And generally awful.
