@ZOS_GinaBruno, do u have any new Information about this topic, why player crash immediately after pressing play?
Do we have to buy new graphic cards for computer or even a new laptop if u want to play on it? Because it seemed like some players running a good graphic card etc. still have this problem, id like to be sure that i really need an improved laptop.
Well, with an Intel HD 3000 Graphic Card i bet i need one, even if it was working before ;)

Thanks to everyone who PMed UserIDs, and to @Crown for the super detailed theory! We're going to run all this by the team today and see if we can get something going.

Just to double check in the meantime, what Windows OS is everyone running? Remember our min spec only supports Windows 7 and up (meaning Vista is not supported).

Windows Vista. That explains it for me. Though I don't know why Vista would not be supported. Vista with Service Pack 2 is pretty much Windows 7 and supports DirectX 11.

@Krainor1974 Go into your addons folder (some along the line of Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\Addons and move them somewhere else (to your desktop for example) so they are out of that folder.

Ive the same problem, found it yesterday after downloading the latest patch (PC with Windows 7).

I know my video card is old (its an integrate video card, ATI Radeon HD 4250), but was working fine with ESO previously to the patch (and other MMoRPGs i play).

From DxDiag i know my video card is compatible DirectX 10.1 and not DirectX 11.

@Crown possible solution dont work for me ( http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/252199/possible-solution-for-crashing-on-launch-try-this-and-give-info-to-gina-the-devs ). After setting it and opening the game, i got access to the login screen, but after it my entire computer reset...

Any other idea beside to purchase a new video card?

    Thanks in advance.

    Sergio :-)

Ok, what we'd love to have now are some DxDiag files. If you have time, please attach yours to this thread; it would help us out a lot!

Thanks guys! So based on the couple posted so far, it appears as though your graphics card does not technically support DX11 (even though your OS supports it). To quote one of our programmers:

"DX11 has a mode called “9 on 11” or “10 on 11”, which is basically where the driver can create a DX11 compliant device on DX9 or DX10 level hardware, but that device is limited to the features of that API and is not really a DX11 device. This is how a DX9 card can exist on a DX11 OS."

All that said, we do currently have a bug where you may not be receiving the correct error message if you're trying to launch the game with unsupported hardware; this will likely be fixed in patch 2.3.7 (so not next week, but the week after). In the meantime, we can tell you that Nvidia Geforce cards should be 400 series and above, and AMD HD Radeon should be 5000 series and above in order to properly launch the game. You can also check the line "DDI Version" under Display Devices in your DxDiag file to see what version you're actually running.

    Does that help?

have been wondering (figuring) this was the case. i guess there may be an issue, that the bug is the prompt telling me my computer sucks too much.

more specifically, i am willing to bet, that it is whatever system seeks out your system specs, to tell you your system is/isn't up to par, that may be bugged.

Then its official? ZO changed the requirements to D11 with the last patch and all the people, like me, playing normally the game previously to last patch and now crashing need to purchase a new video card? Its the official statment from ZO?
