    The title, the dye and the achievement aren't enough?

    I got goosebumps while reading Brian's post. I'm sure that not all of it will shake out as well as hoped once the changes are in place, but I'm hopeful that the overall impact on pvp will be very positive.

    We're still looking into a way to do a "hard reset" when campaigns end that wouldn't involve booting people out of Cyrodiil.

    Unless you have the ability to port everyone back to their respective gates, people could just hide inside enemy keeps before the map reset. I honestly think that doing a hard reset is the best method, I know I wouldn't mind it.

    I think it's going to open up PVP to a lot more people. Right now, lower level vets don't stand much chance in PVP. The battle leveling for them will go a long way to helping them have a chance. There's still going to be a gear disparity, but it should help in addition to everything else.

    Yeah man. I didnt get until almost 1 year into the game Always top 5 but never 1. Now I have it on my main and my 2 week old alt. Both were done on main campaigns with nothing more than a 3 man group. I worked hard for it. Kinda sucks seeing it go now but I understand why.

    Im consistantly impress with zos for listening to thier playerbase. I've never known any game developer to so agressively engage ideas and make big changes based on feedback.

    If I could make a suggestion - maybe existing former emps could be awarded an extra ~5 champion points to compensate for removing the former emp passives.

    I don't think it should be too big a deal though (I hope not at least). The title was always the coolest part I thought (not that I have personal experience).

    Some want it because the imbalance has been so bad, with all red, or yellow, and occasionally even all blue maps. If that were to happen less, far fewer people would want a reset. I agree that such a change might demotivate some players from fighting as hard toward the end of a campaign cycle because they will just loose all of their gains anyway, but it's also disheartening to start a campaign the same way the last one ended, with another alliance owning most or all of the map and with few people trying to take it back (and being crushed at their gates for their efforts).

    As far as removing the PVE buffs. enjoy the waste of time.
    1: best place in the game to level/cp grind is cyrodiil, specifically delves, also those areas will now exclusively benefit for the exp boost, meaning they will be significantly more desirable. lots of active PVErs aren't going anywhere


    I'm fine with PvE-only players filling up the delves. What a ganking opportunity. It'll be like you're a dog in a fenced yard filled with fat, three-legged squirrels :)

    That would just be rewarding those who gained it via emp trading, why would you do that? I don't particularly care if they take the former emp buffs out or not, but I don't think they should reward those who gained it via system abuse.

    I fought hard to get my former emp title back on Wabajack. That being said I'm totally indifferent to them removing the passives; they were miniscule buffs anyways. If they think it'll create a better pvp environment in Cyrodiil, so be it, I'm willing to give up the buffs for that chance.

    Idea: what if the former emp passive was changed to receive +20% gold in the "reward for the worthy" mail? (Like a gvmt pension) Or something thats not battle related. It doesn't affect me, but I see there are some that are upset and something like this may seem more fair.

    I play a ton in Blackwater Blade and probably 90% of new players believe, at first, that capping a keep's 3 resources also turns off spawning at that keep. They usually learn the hard way by doing that, becoming lulled into a false sense of security, then getting wiped by a wave of blood porters. That being said, I would be in favor of the proposed spawn changes. The strong connection between transitus and spawning already tends to lead players to an incorrect assumption about the mechanics. So why not go ahead and implement what feels natural?

    If you remove the hopping, I'd limit total number of campaigns to ensure enough action with the others on stand-by in case the load/lag is too much. As many have said, the jump-to is frequently used to find good fights not avoid them.

    EDIT/Also: So what if people farmed emp. It's just plain wrong to take all buffs away. There's no way to know for sure who farmed and who did not. Crazy to make everyone pay a price for this. I'll probably never have emp, but don't want to see those who worked hard for it loose it either. This is another case where having someone in PR consider the affects of a communication may have been able to save some needless pain.

    So we know that stacking and everything is causing the lag, and the change to AOE caps did help some what..Problem is stacking is still pretty rewarded on some level.

    It also doesn't help that things like Barrier/Purge/Vigor/Retreating Maneuvers is still uncapped pretty much, All of those (Esp Retreating Maneuvers) help keep the zerg ball together.

    if RM was changed to only grant immunity say every 15 seconds or whatever it'd be much easier for say Archers running Bombard to split the zerg ball up and cause them to die.


    Also I noticed on Console the group cap seems to be 12 for Large Groups, is there anyway we could do that on PC by chance?

    And another thing..Is there anyway we could can go back to unpurgeable snares on the Oil Catapult?

    Back when that was a thing you use to be able to hit a group with it that was stacked and that slowed them down so they would keep getting pelted by AOE and such.

    I agree with every part of this except the removal of former emp passives. They are minor passives but are a fantastic reward and reminder. For those of us who worked hard for our emperor and got it for real, we didn't sleep, and dedicated everything we could to fighting hard for our alliance and campaign and once we got emperor proceeded to turn the map our colour. Getting emperor was this adrenalin Rush because you knew you would permanently change your toon.

    Yes, people farmed it in the first 6 months of the game, and that sucked. But plenty of people earned their millions from the duping bug in the first week of the game- does that mean that anyone who has a lot of gold should have it removed ? Punishing your loyal players for the exploits of others is just not right. The former emp bonuses were not hurting anyone the way buff servers were. Please reconsider this change.

    Also I don't see how any of this will affect the issues with ap farming.

    There is a big difference between Emperor farming and Emperor trading.

    My opinion is that Emperor farming is when a group goes into Cyrodiil with the express intent of getting Emperor for one of their number (specific or just any one who gets to the top). There is nothing wrong with this. Groups do it all the time.

    Emperor trading is when an agreement is made with another faction such that Emperor is uncontested, then it's taken by the other faction uncontested, and back and forth repeatedly until every person in both groups has had it. There is a problem with this, though there is no way to realistically determine who has done so.

    If Former Emperor buffs are removed outside of Cyrodiil negating the desire of all the hard core PvE people getting a bit more powerful for their trials times, then there should be no issue leaving it active within Cyrodiil.

    We have talked about removing the ability to respawn in enemy controlled keeps if they are not connected to a transit line, but hasn't gotten any traction other than discussions at the moment.

    ^ This needs to be done. The whole we've taken your 3 resources or cut off your transit line and you can just blood port to that keep anywhere on the map is not good for PvP.

    Removing the buffs only hurts the players that put real effort into getting them.

    It hurts nothing. You retain, the title, the dye and the achievement. The removal goes a long way towards improving the environment in Cyrodiil. Everyone wins.

    There is a reason why the removal of these buffs have been called for..ohh, I dont know...for 10-12 months now?

    Force weapon swap to have priority over EVERYTHING. Close enough.
    Make stamina builds even with magicka builds.
    Disable abilities while holding block.
    Give us a REASON to do dungeons more than once.
    Remove PVP AoE CAP. It is ruining Cyrodiil.
    Fix/Remove Forward Camps. They are ruining Cyrodiil.
    Impenetrability needs to REDUCE CRIT DAMAGE. Not negate entire builds.
    Werewolf is not equal to Vamps/Bats.

    I cannot believe what I'm reading.
    You are basically removing all incentive to PVP in your game all while punishing the people who have spent countless hours, resources and energy trying to be successful in your game.

    This whole battleleveling this is such BS. As a vet rank 14, who took a whole year to get there, you SHOULD be more powerful than your low level counterparts. You put the leg work in!

    And seriously removing emperor passives?!?! I spent hours, DAYS, thousands of Ap to get my emperorship and the passives that came with it. I went nights without sleep trying my hardest for that and now you're taking it away??!?!! How about you refund me the hours of my life I devoted to this game for that??? Again, punishing people for success and accomplishing something. It's not like they're super over powered anyway!

    This is like socialists ESO where everyone gets a trophy and everyone is equal.

    No kids, who just created a character, don't bother leveling up.... We'll just buff you up to the people who just spent over a year playing AND we'll punish them for their accomplishments by nerfing them. Gotta make it fair.

    This is so ridiculous and I really hope these changes don't go through. I literally see no point in trying in Cyrodiil anymore... Especially since those bonuses don't apply outside of Cyrodiil anymore anyway.

    lol, u r forgettin that every patch that zos has implemented so far... broke the game more then it actualy fixed it.
