    Yes, it's good for the game.
    Weaving is a skill hurdle that should exist. I can't fathom why in a game based on fast pace combat would remove it. Skill should be rewarded even if it only takes a little bit. Removing this makes the game slower and clunkier which is stupid.

    They should take middle path of this. If they disable animation canceling, they have to shorten/speed up some of animations or DPS drop will be huge.

    Yes, it's good for the game. If you want to see why it is, go do any sort of hard content, and wait until your character returns to the idle pose before you use any action. See how many times you die to stuff you never had a problem with before.

    No, it cannot be used to cause multiple skills to hit at once. The game has a 1 second global cooldown (GCD) in place to prevent this from happening, and every skill abides to and invokes the GCD. Cast a skill, have to wait for the GCD to refresh to cast any other skill.

    If you were getting hit with multiple attacks at once, you were either lagging, or mistaking delayed damage and/or DoT's for actual skill casts. Some skills, such as Sub Assault or Curse, have a delay attached to their damage, which allows players to line up multiple skills to land at once, despite being cast within separate GCD's.

    This is purely a L2P issue if you can't do it, or a stubbornness issue if you refuse to do it. I can guarantee that those who practically beg Zenimax to remove it, would do just the same to get it back, if it were to be removed.

    Why didn't we let this thread die in 2015?

    Love how some people want it gone, yet most people are crying about cast times and the pts is blowing up because animations are longer and different with block on pts right now.

    People don't know what they'll miss until they lose it. Same goes for animation cancelling. If Zenimax were to immediately pull animation cancelling next patch, with no warning, I can guarantee most of these people begging for it to be removed would beg for it to be added back in.

    I hate being that person that says this, but all these people voting 'no' have serious l2p issues. To be fair im only just skimming, and there are legitimate arguments against animation cancelling; im not seeing any of them here.

    Animation canceling is incredibly easy to learn and takes little effort to master. Just about 10 minutes of practice on a dummy once in awhile while playing. Get someone to teach you.

    There are people here saying they are dying in 2 seconds due to animation canceling and 'macros' first, macros are an issue for pc. And are already forbidden by zos. Thats a seperate problem altogether. Second if your dying in one or two seconds, the problem isnt animation cancelling. Its probably you.

    Like it or not animation cancelling is one of the biggest steps on the ladder to the skill ceiling. Dont take that away from people who work for it. If you dont want to work for it and put the practice in thats on you.

    Without it this game would become unbearably slow and boring.

    I do not like it, but I have to use it. I'd rather have that you could see and finish all animations: Combat looks a lot better that way.
