Does this mean that when we get p-ed off that we have to put on the kid gloves in a rated M game, some of us are are life time fans of this series I personally have been playing TES for 15 out of my 21 years. One thing I can tell you smart ass comments, back talk and a general Superiority Complex is nothing new to TES universe to take that away in favor of kid gloves and the series we loss a piece of it's self

People without subs spend more money on the game then people who sub. That's a pretty well known fact which is why so many cash shops exist these days. You are not a special little snowflake for subbing. Still special, just not in that way

Additionally, anyone appealing their moderation is asked to do via an appeals support ticket, so moderators do not even handle appeals.

Sooooo, no more begging for content, or expressing any specific distaste about the game or any state it may be in? Granted, if I didn't like the game I wouldn't play it, but I mean, to make the game an entity that I can't openly assault at my own free will and call certain aspects garbage, come on, where does it end?

So in a forum where anything said can be construed a thousand different ways you get 1 warning, then next time you're done. This is terrible. You could post something nice to someone, then they take it the wrong way, report you, then you get your warning. Thats it, nothing to save you from a perma ban next time someone misconstrues what you say.

There is no possible way to survive here and post a lot. Statistically you will get banned. Because all it takes is 1 person taking something the wrong way which WILL with all certainty happen. And you won't get judged, you will get warned/banned. We have already lost a lot of good posters who brought great value to the community to simple infractions. This is not a good community vision.

After a formal warning, the next offense typically results in a 72 hour suspension before a permanent ban is considered.

We review every report that comes in, but being reported isn't sufficient to be actioned in any way.

no more.....feedback, essentially. When you boil it all down people will become terrified to provide honest and constructive feedback. I understand that the intention is to allow that, but the fear will be there because it's all open to interpretation, in this case strict interpretation.

IHMO that is what we get out of this, not a better community.

What good does it do to say a game "sucks". I believe they would prefer to know why you dont like it and what can be done to fix it.

I think its pretty obvious why most of us don't like this game..... The only reason I play this MMO is because of First person pov and full character customization..... I can't name any other game that has that in an MMO

Nothing stops you from voicing concerns. It's called constructive critisism and is not only allowed but encouraged.

If someone hates the game so much that they cannot voice their concern without resorting to namecalling and crude generalizations I don't think the community as a whole will miss their outcries.

I for one won't miss any of the "ZOS is evil, devs suck and i quit!"-posts.

That said, if constructive posts about the state of the game are being removed, then I'd be very much against it. But then I generally tend to withhold my judgement until I can see for myself how things play out.

Fingers crossed for a dev response- but I will continue to give zos as much helpful feedback as I can and rally others to do the same!

Don't get your hopes up, the only questions they like to answer are ones like "how do I gain xp?" "how do I perform a heavy atk?" seriously all the questions they have ever answered on ESO Live, utterly useless information and believe me I have seen some good questions on that thread! and no I am not trolling!

We can still do that, just not the these forums, we signed a private agreement to the rules when we signed up. But yeah I get what you mean. Freedom of speech is a very valuable thing, when it's infringed it feels like ones own identity is infringed and caged, as speech is the expression of our identity.

That doesn't really apply on private forums. The right to free speech really means "Freedom of speech is the political right to communicate one's opinions and ideas, unimpeded by government interference and interdiction." This isn't the government- it's a private forum, and they can moderate it however they will.

completely agree with you ZOS is very sensitive to comments, I have always thought that you learn more from criticism than you do from praise.

it seems all they want is pat on the back " and good job buddy" even if the job their doing doesn't warrant it.

praise and respect should be earned.

believe me I will say the look and the mechanics of the game are awesome and for them to take the attitude, that everything thing is fine in mayberry is wrong, and to penalize a customer for complaining is WRONG.

the customer isn't always right! right?

Criticism is fine, it just needs to be civil and constructive. Constructive feedback, positive or negative, is by its very nature more valuable than unconstructive feedback. Ensuring that everyone treats each other respectfully helps keep the forum welcoming.

Being respectful doesn't mean you can't disagree with another player, or us. You can even disagree quite strenuously, or express serious reservations about something. However, we ask that everyone avoid flaming, naming-calling, and other behavior that builds toxicity.

And we're open to suggestions from the community about how they feel a positive environment can be fostered here. That doesn't mean we'll agree with every suggestion, or be able to implement them, but we'll certainly read them all.
