Bloated numbers to hide a huge nerf to everything so that we can be plugged into their future Champion System is my opinion. When I see 4530 damage hit I mentally see 453 damage hit. It's my opinion that we all have been nerfed and held back to push this CS. Howbeit that we all waited for what we thought would be good for the game and it turns out to be a huge deception. Of course all that I'm saying here is my opinion. My char on live does a lot more than that same char on the pts. It seems that everyone is worry about one or two skills, such as the templar RD skill, when really their char is half the hero it use to be.

Our char are half the hero they use to be! How's that for a 5 month wait! Of course it's my opinion that it all came about to push possible future XP potions. Take note that they are not responding to any of our feedback yet! LOL

I have waited and waited for the PTS in hopes of delving into all the changes. I honestly thought things were going to be awesome with this new patch. However, I have came to hate everything about my char! ESP when you sit back and really give thought to what may be taking place. It is my opinion that I don't think they can fix, balance, or make right anything in this patch by the time they would release it. I really hope ZOS proves my doubts wrong though.

How about you guys cut some things out of 1.6. You can go ahead and put in everything but the Champion System and also don't put in any of the class changes. Spend the next One Solid Year rethinking and building the new Champion System and the changes to the classes.

I do not want my char to be half the hero it once was. I do not want to lose the current play style that has been a joy for me to play. I do not want to wait for months on end for everything to be balance out before I can find a play style that I'll enjoy. I do not want this Champion System that is really a nerf to my class so that I can bring him back up to par through 3 years of spending points in the Champion System.

It's my opinion with the time I've spent with my chars that I now HATE MY CLASS which will only lead to me Hating The Game And Not Playing, which will lead to, Less Players. Thanks for reading my feedback ZOS.

Yep the number inflation is really annoying. I have a brain and going from 7,4% damage bonus to 7,5% damage bonus is hardly an increase, no matter which number ESO is trying to sell to me.

Please keep the stats within the old ranges.

Instead of giving us new progressions and content they have taken away existing power from us and now expect us to earn it back again... a little cheap really... perhaps a depressing sign of things to come.

Like I've been saying since the B2P announcement.

All of these trashy cash shop games do it the same. They put up a huge barrier to advancement (slow CP gain) then make the only way to gain it at a decent rate boosters from the cash shop which they call "Convenience Items".

The reality is they turn into pay for advancement or advance extremely slowly.

I bet you the CP/Inspiration booster is going to be the biggest seller in the cash shop.

I'm really sick of getting excited about games, dedicating time to playing them and learning them, only to have them ruined by F2P. Honestly, F2P is going to ruin the industry.

Poorly done P2P/B2P/FTP games ruins the game industry. However, what really ruins the game industry more so are game studios that releases their games far too soon, state they're listening to feedback while still serving you the very thing you hate, and finally changing core game systems during the first 2 years of release. I can understand a good core rework if the game was out for a few years and suffering from lack of players. I guess the game is suffering from lack of players? I don't want to see my magic or physical attack saying that I have 300% chance to crit when really it's 30.0%. I don't want to see my level 4 sword saying it's 500 damage ... I'm level 4!!!! Even most FTP games get their stats right! Let's just hope the PTS improves by many miles before releasing to live.

They did it so we can see the 1%, 2% increases from the champion system. It makes the game look ugly and it makes it harder to do simple math in your head. My stance on the topic.

Return all the numbers back to live, then inflate the champ point percentages instead. Now you have a numerically powerful increase, without losing all grounding or creating inflated numbers.

Instead of seeing an absurdly large number like 23,002 magicka with a 1% increase from CP they will see 2,300 with a 10% increase from CP. Each results in the same amount of additional magicka (230) but the later appears far more powerful and easier to comprehend.

ZOS, if you think seeing my 25000 stat increase to 25002 will make me feel more powerful, you're mistaken. As I always do with this kind of numbers, I'll just ignore the last couple of digits as they don't make any meaningful difference.

Number bloat is not a good thing. I doubt you can roll it back at this stage, but if you can, please consider it.

Is it possible for mods to chop of the last digit, or display them in a better way? For instance, say you have 20,472 Stamina, your GUI could display 2047 Stamina, or maybe even something like:

    20472

With the first four digits bold, larger, a different color, etc. The fifth digit could be faded or partially transparent.

All of your tooltips would also display "old" values. Instead of costing 4048 Stamina, it would cost:

    4048

I think ZOS was right that people would not have enjoyed decimal values. Having 2047.2 Stamina is also unappealing. I just think they underestimated how much people would also dislike inflated numbers.

The thing is for us humans, that .2 is irrelevant, just as 2 is irrelevant in the new system. Nobody needs to see it. They were rounding numbers before, they could just keep doing that. For example if a Breton eats some food giving +312 magicka (+10% racial passive = +31.2 magicka), he/she gets +343 magicka, not +343.2.

I think they inflated all the numbers ,since we wouldn't see as easily how much each of the stats have been reduced by. Not all of them have been scaled by 1:10 ratio and even if they have, combined with the set/regen/enchant/armour nerfs it probably works out as less than 10 anyway.

As soon as I have my EU char on PTS I plan to do a comparison and post screenshots.

Meaning, a 1% increase to 2,300 is the same PERCENT increase as a 1% increase to 2,300.

Doing a 10% increase to 230 is TEN TIMES the percent increase as 1% to 2,300.

I think you have all missed the true reason behind the up-scaling of attributes and damage figures...

For over a decade now there has been a trend in most games to have larger inflated and flashy numbers, just like bigger font size for critical hits in floating text addons.

The reason why ZoS has up-scaled all figures, not by a fixed amount is to appease the most saturated market for these inflated figures, the console market.

Go and take a breather and look at some videos of Final Fantasy, etc. That is the market that ZoS has to compete with for customers in the console market, there is pretty much no game at all in the console market that defines values with smaller figures.

All that being said, ZoS really does need to revert the change, if they want to set themselves apart to try and attract more customers, then why imitate or follow the same route as others have?
