Some more questions for ya Zenimax:

    1. Is rubberbanding (tieing a rubber band to your controller to keep a button pressed at all times, usually the attack button on consoles, to grind while away from the game so you can continue to level and gain champion points without actually playing the game) something that can be reported as a type of botting?
    2. Not so much a question but a suggestion if the above isn't a reportable offense in order to stop it: Make it so you cannot deliver back to back heavy attacks by keeping the button held down. If you have to release the button after the first heavy attack to do another rubberbanding will no longer be something anyone can do in this game!
    3. Will there ever be seperate equipment slots for Pickaxes, Woodcutting Axes, and Fishing Rods so we can actually get and equip some, ultimately providing a means of getting special ones that aid us in gathering/fishing?
    4. Any chance we can get something added into the game (perhaps an achievement?) that lets us know when we have discovered every single location in a region?
    5. Is it possible to get any dropped set item at VR16? (For example a VR16 item that's part of the Akaviri Dragonguard set)

    Enodoc wrote: »
Got a few more questions I hope get answered.
    1. Can we expect new Skill Lines in the future?
    2. Could you perhaps provide a list of bugs you are addressing and fixing in the next incremental patch so we know what ya'll know?
    3. Any chance we can get an Option to hide the Compass entirely, as well as the cursor in the middle of the screen? This would allow us to take pictures in-game via screenshot without the interface getting in the way.
    4. It is quite obvious that Level 50 and Veteran Rank 1 are the same, but what about the higher Veteran Ranks? Is Veteran Rank 2 Level 51 or higher than Level 51?
    5. Lore Question: Where is Red Mountain in the 2nd Era? Is it Ash Mountain or what? I've always wanted to visit it but unfortunately that was not an option in TESV: Skyrim and I never played any of the first 4 TES games.
@UltimaJoe777 You may also want to wait and see if ZOS give official answers for these, but I thought I'd give a quick answer to 4 and 5.

    4. It's a bit difficult to compare VRs to levels. Technically, all Veteran Ranks are layers on top of Level 50 - VR1 is Level 50, and VR16 is also Level 50. The internal itemization registers differences between VR1 and VR16, but there is no difference in "Level". This can be verified in-game using the API functions GetUnitLevel(player) and GetUnitEffectiveLevel(player). When done with a Veteran character of any VR, these always return 50 [the Rank itself can be found using GetUnitVeteranRank(player)].

    5. Red Mountain is located on Vvardenfell, the island found to the north of Stonefalls which cannot currently be visited (see maps). It is not related to Ash Mountain.

Yeah I figured Red Mountain was in that area lol go figure but as far as VR comparisons to Level goes even if the game recognizes it the way you say I just wonder if Zenimax in their own right categorize them at certain levels, which may also aid in how they eventually remove VRs.

@aneova_ESO - Why did you make it so complex for the newer Motif's? Also, why is so much material needed to upgrade our armor and weapons? 100 is extreme, you'll never be able to update the writs to the new tier if this remains.

There are a few reasons we’ve been splitting up the crafting Motif’s lately. Most importantly, to diversify crafters across the community, at least initially, as players learn individual chapters over time. This provides more niches for more crafters to participate in, and encourages wider overall economic participation. Additionally, we launched with a large number of easy to obtain crafting motifs and we want our crafting community to have aspirational content akin to combat-centric players.
Lastly, for particularly iconic appearances such as Dwemer and Glass, it should feel like a significant accomplishment to unlock the entire motif, given how recognizable and special they are to all of us. That being said, we understand it can feel a bit overwhelming to have to hunt these down across the game and over long periods of time, so we’re looking very carefully at the time investment required to obtain motifs in future DLC content.

In regards to the amount of materials needed for VR16 equipment, the goal was to provide some parity between the challenge of obtaining maximum level gear through non-crafted means (PvP, Dungeons, Quest Rewards, etc) with their crafted equivalents. Any writs we add for this tier will accept VR15 item deliveries which require the much lower amount of raw material.

    @ZOS_GinaBruno
    @ZOS_BrianWheeler
This whole idea is contradictory and misleading. You see that right?

On one hand you are trying to make crafting more diverse "to diversify crafters across the community,"...on the other hand you want to have "aspirational content akin to combat-centric players.", then you want "it should feel like a significant accomplishment to unlock"...

The unlocking is based on pure RNG. There is no accomplishment there. There is frustration. Where is recognition for a random number generator? that is misleading. Perhaps those that use gold houses or have tons of money can just buy those motifs and mats. Is that the special recognition you mean?

....."given how recognizable and special they are to all of us" WHERE is the recognition from ZOS that @Oroburous and I along with a few others ave ALL NIRN researched which is an relatively long accomplishment and pretty much unwanted now. 9 trait sets are where we put a considerable amount of money and time and the sets are mediocre. We have diversified and while many have some research done on these sets, the reward is feeble because those Monster Helms and Dropped sets are so much more powerful. As is Jewelry. And we can't make that, as you know.

Now you have created a gated wall for crafters. Held behind RNG. Held behind those with lots of in game currency and those without. Held behind PvP content to a greater degree than available to those that PvE (and I do both). Held behind Dungeon content and The Undaunted that many in the game do not do.

You have not created diversification. Nor recognition. I'm sorry to say.
You have mistaken creating impediments for creating another avenue of meaningful appropriation of crafting requirements..
I hear you say you are looking carefully at the time investment... [wish you had done that when we were researching Nrin]...but no where do you say you are looking at more and better ways to get what crafters NEED to be relevant in the end game. Sad.

Will Orsinium have more options to get what Vr15 and Vr16 crafters need to stay in the game?
Will it have NINE trait sets that are as good or Better than Monster helm or Phoenix/Black Rose sets?

    Sly

I would like to add on to the above...

What's the point of making us go through so many POINTLESS hoops when a month later (or whatever your schedule/agenda is), you're just going to release the motifs in the crown store anyway. Your "diversification", "niches" and any other way you want to look at it, is out the window at that point for those that do suffer through it.

All I see is gated content behind useless grinds and *** RNG mechanics in an effort to frustrate players to the point of making them so frustrated they give up and open their wallets.
    This one belongs to Sly.

    1. When can we expect to see PVP campaigns which limit the number of champion points benefitting a player? For example, a campaign which only takes into account the first 300 CP a player spends.

    2. When can we expect to see the champion point catch-up mechanic?

    3. When can we expect to see a cap on the number of CP a player can grind in a particular timeframe (e.g., season, month, etc.)?

The three features mentioned above cannot wait. They need to be implemented to bring a fraction of balance back to this game. Someone with 230 CP gets to enjoy 20% increases to about 3 of he/her stats (or combinations of 5%, 10%, etc.), which gives that player a significant advantage over someone who has only 100 CP (there are several members of my PVP guild who don't even have 100 CP yet). We already have the gap between vr1 players who are forced to fight against vr16 players. There are gaps which are caused by gear. There are of course gaps in player experience (i.e., "skill"). The CP gap is just exacerbating the issue.

Having a campaign with a CP cap would allow for a plateau players can reach. Everyone would have the same pool of resources with which to supplement their builds. Once they reach that point, their ability to win would come down to the ability of the group to play their builds well. Yes. It is possible to take out groups who have greater numbers and more CP than your own. However, when you come across experienced groups who have also farmed boat loads of CP, you do not get a level playing field.

Right now the plateau is the max number of CP which can be acquired (which, you've said yourself, would take "years" to attain). I'm not interested in sticking around long enough to reach that plateau if it means I will constantly be steam rolled by groups who have 3+ times as many CP as my group. When I do get to log into this game after work, I'm not interested in grinding out CP. I want to group with my guild members and try to enjoy the game. Is a "casual" player an unskilled player? Not necessarily. However, a capable player who has farmed a bunch of CP will have a significant advantage over a capable casual player who only has a handful.

I can eventually get a specific trait on a monster helm/shoulder set (if I decide that set is worthwhile for my build), but I can't catch up to those players who grind CP. Honestly, I don't even want to; gear is so much more fun to acquire.

    4. Magicka detonation and its morphs need work. I would suggest increasing the damage % cap (only against players), allowing proximity detonation to be removed by negate, and causing the damage of the explosion to decrease when allies are in the target area. This would help it serve its purpose as a zerg buster, as opposed to it being another tool which caters to zergs.

    5. The sorcerer pets were hit hard by the 50% damage reduction in Cyrodiil. They were already dealing mediocre damage at best. Playing my togglemancer build (the build which I enjoy the most) makes me a liability to my group, and makes me ineffective. This does not even take into consideration their effectiveness (or lack thereof) in group dungeons and endgame PVE content. Are the sorcerer pets intended to be for soloing only?

The title of this thread is "ask anything"

    So....

to all the folks who work at ZoS:

How many hours have you played ESO in the past week?
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

When are you guys gonna fix crafting? This whole story about making the best gear in the game take time to get is silly cause players are able to get dropped and TVS VR16 gear left and right in no time at all but takes hours to days to weeks of farming for materials to CRAFT 1 piece of VR16 gear.

I can provide insight on this before ESO live will feel the need!

The Empire of Alessia, the First Empire (Long before this time period), was marked by the Covenant between Saint Alessia and Akatosh by the Amulet of Kings. This amulet, the symbol of her authority soon became the shining symbol of Imperial rule all across the Empire and continuing even into the Empire of Reman, and to the present (2E 586).Lore on the Amulet of Kings.
This is the current symbol of the Empire, and of Imperials, the 'Red Diamond'.

Fast forward a couple hundred years and something else happens. Tiber Septim unites Tamriel under his rule, and claims his right of Divine rule with the Amulet of Kings and the Dragonfires. Chief along his conquests, he had employed under him a Dragon named Nafaalilargus, a strikingly blood red Dragon that imposed quite an image. This dragon merged culturally with the Imperial Diamond as a symbol of power becoming the Imperial Dragon Diamond you see on that picture. It is a symbol of Tiber Septim's Empire, not one of our Era.
    Lore on Nafaalilargus, the Dragon.

    1. When are you guys going to make crown store items account wide instead of server wide? I mean why do the crowns share and ESO plus share but not the actual item's? Because I know a couple people like me who have swapped from Eu server to Na server and had to re buy there items off the crown store and now with dlc more important then ever! And especially with the limited time only mounts that you can't get but have on opposite server...

    2. When will the guild traders be fi xed to show listing prices BEFORE you actually click to buy and get the warning message stating the prices, because of this glitch we were unable to retain our guild trader this week!

Adding another skill line to each class would be awesome. Sorcerers are supposed to be able to control fire ice and lightning not not just one element. Summoning is fine but I feel like the other skill lines are mandatory for a sorcerer. Night blades in my opinion should be able to constantly stay stealthed. Dragon Knights should have a berserker class and more control over the thuum in my opinion.

What are the four seasons called in Tamriel?
The Four Seasons are Winter, Spring, Summer, Autumn.

    What are Fall celebrations?
    These are the Autumn Events:
    Hearth Fire (September)
    • Tales and Tallows, Day 3: Men and women do not speak all day long for fear that the evil spirits of the dead will enter their bodies.
    • Nocturnal's Summoning Day, Day 8.
    • Children's Day, Day 19: A celebration of youth.

    Frost Fall (October)
    • Malacath's Summoning Day, Day 8.
    • Witches Festival, Day 13: When the forces of sorcery and religion clash. Wizards meet in the wilderness outside, and the creatures created or summoned there may plague Tamriel for eons. Most wise men choose not to wander during this day. It's also Mephala's Summoning Day.

    Sun's Dusk (November)
    • Boethiah's Summoning Day, Day 2.
    • Moon Festival, Day 8: A joyous holiday in honor of Masser & Secunda.
    • Warriors Festival, Day 20: Great social event featuring competitive contests of martial skill. All weapons are half price. It's also Mehrunes Dagon's Summoning Day.

Does ZOS have something special planned for 'Halloween'?
