    A couple questions for you:

    1. Did you play a heavy armor build before 1.5? If so, do you notice a survivability decrease as a tank after 1.5 was released?

    2. What kind of build are you running that allows you to keep majicka abilities up (flap-flap and purge) and have enough stamina to block, dodge, etc. and still do enough damage to kill someone in 5-6 hits?

Not trying to be an $$$, I'm obviously doing something wrong and could use some advice because this latest patch has killed my survivability.

    1. I used to way back in the day. 1.1 and 1.2 patches. With 1.3 I bit the bullet and went full bathrobe up to the 1.5 release. I am still keeping both sets of gear in my inventory so I can quick swap (benefit of being fully invested into HP and having a LOT of skill points).

    2. Keeping Reflective Scales up means you typically don't need purge. If you're sending the Lethal Arrows back, the debuff never hits you. With the HA/MA set I've got (5H/2M), I am at 3.7K HPs, 1.5K Magicka, and 2.5K Stamina. My weapon damage is 215 on average and I still have block rings on (could have more weapon damage with different rings).I regularly heavy attack Medium and Light wearers for 350+ per sword. The key with the magicka abilities is to never, ever spam them (especially an issue with Talons). They are there for utility and survivability. Milk every second of their duration times from them, and I have an addon that shows me my buff duration times down to 1/10th of a second, so I try to keep wings refreshes for the .1 and .2 seconds remaining.

    3. Resource management is the key. Don't waste CC abilities on someone who has just rolled or broken free (that's the three second timer you have to keep in your head). Don't throw away Stamina or Magicka with no return.

    4. Know when to turtle and when to be aggressive. Did that Lethal Arrow actually hit the archer who just shot you after being reflected? Invasion him, Talons him as he stands, then swap to DW for a heavy attack. If he rolls away, Flying Blade him to snare him and chase -- at this point he's not trying to kill you but trying to disengage, you don't need wings unless you see him start to take aim. Light attack him as you catch up to him, then hit him with another talons as the immunity timer expires. If he rolls again, Invasion after the roll, and he's probably done. Another heavy attack from DW followed by Steel Tornado should kill him.

    5. Have your weapon swaps on a fast hot key. I flip back and forth multiple times in each fight.

    6. If an archer tries to Snipe in your face, remember it's bashable. Shields do the best bashes. Swap immediately to DW after the bash and heavy attack.

    7. If the archer has self healing that they're using (Tri Pots, DK GDB, Resto Staff), that's the reason you have Reverberating Bash on your bars. The stun is a bonus.

I've been hearing (reading) people post figures like this for a while and I'm starting to think there are bugs in certain characters attributes. I sit at around 2.8k HPs, 1.2k Magicka, and 2.4k Stamina with purple food running and all Legendary pieces with Legendary enchants with Infused on main pieces. Where the hell am I missing that extra 900 HP and 400 magicka/stam??? My set bonuses have some HP and Stam on it as well.

I think the biggest difference is that I changed to a healing staff as my second weapon a while back so I could stand in the breach with my heavy armor while healing, shielding and purging my alliance as they run through.

I think the effects of the stacking healing debuffs is what is making the biggest difference now that there are so many archers. I'll probably give it another week to see if that gets changed before I switch back to DW and give up healing. I want to help my alliance, but healing for 0 and purging with my magicka regen just isn't productive.

    Anyway, thanks for the info.

Really surprised you can get to 215 weapon dmg as 1h&s/DW with no weapon ring and only 16 weapon dmg coming from set bonus. That must be with the DK weap dmg buff running.

Anyways, it is off-topic, but I still don't see how I am missing that many of my resource pools. Basically I'm missing Imperial passives and one magicka pool set bonus (think it's around 92 for legendary gear). It jsut doesn't add up to 900HP and 400 magicka/stam.

I have no idea. Make sure your battle level option is turned off.

My rings and neck are all stamina and the necklace has a legendary weapon damage enchant on it.

Yeah. The Imperial bonuses are percentages. The higher I get the base, the bigger the bonus is. Imperial really are the best stam build race for any sort of melee, especially tanky.

I run bow and two hander and my sword does more damage. Are you asking why your bow is doing more damage than your two hander, or are you asking why someone else's bow is doing more damage than your two hander?

No sir you are wrong ... bow dps outstrips twohander .. but thats not the point my point why is melee dps the same or lower then range.. thats not a good risk factor much higher.....

The Arena set is amazing combined with HA. 60% off CC break. I don't bother running Immovable. It's cheaper to break free. That's if it gets through my block.

But you probably hit harder and I am probably sturdier. As it should be with those two inverse setups.
