I go for a walk and come back to more players that just don't get it so yet again I will post this for any one of you that has called us Whiners or that we feel Entitled. "When did people become complacent. When did we stop fighting for simple things like respect. Those in this thread that have called each other names, that have bullied, or wanted to do nothing. What would it take for you to stand up for yourself? Does it have to reach a point where the subscription fee is doubled? or would you even be ok with that. Not just what would it take for you to quit the game but what would it take for you to love the game enough to actually fight to make it better and be treated fairly? Do not act like you deserve nothing. This issue may not be important to you, but how long will it be before another issues comes up that is?"
What do you want, a game that does not improve where you are treated with disrespect? Or do you want to show that something matters to you as a player so that maybe ZOS takes notice and does something about it? Better yet which player do you think ZOS appreciates more? The players that stand by simply using them to play their game and enjoy it without contributing to make it better through discussion while also criticizing anyone who does? Or the player that stands up for themselves and shows ZOS what they want and what is important to them so that they can make a better game, and in turn make more money off of not just current Subs but future new players in a way that is far more efficient then dangling a shiny toy in front of newcomers? Think before you type, if you are name calling or saying we are whining you are not being constructive nor helpful in any manor, you are being a bully. If you actually care about the game either contribute helpful information or do not comment.

... and since you still don't get it. You aren't entitled to every single sales promotion trinket that comes along from here until eternity.
Okay, so let me humor you for a moment.

Assuming that we aren't rightfully entitled to this, ignoring the fact that we were already promised access to 100% of the content in the game, are we still not allowed to voice our opinions? There's this thing called free speech. If we aren't entitled to the dog, and we aren't entitled to full Steam integration, then we're at least entitled to free speech. We can and will speak up against anything that we don't like. That's what humanity is. You can argue all you want, but at the end of the day, we have a right to complain which no one can take away.

You are not entitled to free speech on a private forum. Sorry. The first amendment only applies to the government not being able to limit your speech.

I guess we should leave it up to the moderation team to decide what's a valid criticism, then.

If ZOS had agreed with Steam to offer the basic game or its added editions for the same retail prices as the PC along with whatever this Steam advantage is would anyone be signing up? If Steam is so good why did ZOS throw the bath water out?

Also, if you are playing the ESO on Steam do you get the same ZOS support and forums or only Steam support and forums?

This comment is a joke, if it is not against the rules of the private forum then it is allowed. You trying to tell us not to is trying to say you made the forum rules and I don't think the mods take that very well. In addition to this, look back a few pages notice how some comments have been removed by mods, those were some of the ones reported for bullying, they aren't allowed on the forums. If you do not have something constructive to add to the discussion then just stay out of it.

Or you don't cave in to whining children simply because they're throwing a tantrum.

For some reason, we've gotten it in our heads that "customer service" consists of throwing goodie-bags at the customer until they shut up. Sometimes, good customer service is ignoring the few customers who think that complaining is an American pastime. You shouldn't get the white wolf on purely moral grounds at this point, because that rewards bad behavior. It sets a precedent for more bad behavior in the future when players want something they don't have a right to.

You are definitely not customer service material.

Let me put his theory into an example.

Your boss wants you to send your monthly report earlier than before, he keeps talking about how this report will help the company if received earlier every month, as he rambles on and on, it begins to sound like a long complain and that he really wants it done. He also asks you to manage the company funds and monitor whatever ongoing projects, which is the major part of your job that he expects your to accomplish without fail.

You should ignore your boss, because doing whatever he wants will not make him shut up. Your boss has developed a thinking that being a boss means he could complain and request for anything. You shouldn't work harder on your monthly report, as in doing so will reward bad behaviour. It sets a precedent for your boss to constantly ask for an earlier report when that is something that he has no right to. Even if he is the one who pays your salary and keeping your family alive.

It sounds like it makes sense, but no. In reality, your logic is a joke I frequently tell to my colleagues whenever we have a long day. Not only will you not make a good CS, you won't make a good boss or a good employee as well. Being on either side, ignoring anything is a bad habit.

Ask yourself, why do companies pay so much to set up or outsource CS department? I believe it's to protect their loyal customer base and build brand reputation. If it is to ignore their customers, it certainly isn't a wise way to spend funds.

@nerevarine1138‌ Please have respect for other's opinion and their means of voicing out their discontent and provide their feedbacks and suggestions. I don't think the posters would respond happily to your comments when you compare their feedbacks to "whining children throwing a tantrum". Respect is mutual.

We're entitled to speak our minds via this forum's Terms of Use. Unless a moderator says our crying is against the terms, we're as free as a bird.

Now there is an excellent idea. Lets start a vote to get the terms of service changed to disallow this whining. The forums would be a lot quieter place.
You can do that, sure, as long as you clearly specify "whining". The definition depends solely on the person doing the defining, so simply starting a "petition to stop whining" opens up a whole can of worms that I doubt the moderators would deal with even if it was a unanimous vote.

No, this would require a lengthy explanation over the nature of "whining", making sure everyone knows exactly what they're voting for, for it to be considered a fair poll, and if you're prepared to do all of that work, I'm not one to stop you.

    2. It's cosmetic. Not content. Pre-order cosmetic items are already locked to new players, and ZO was always clear on cosmetic items not being available to everyone in-game.

You have a strange reading on what "content" is.

Cosmetic items are content. They may not be playable, or even useful, content; but that does not change that fact that it is content within the game.

The disguises in the game are "cosmetic," so does that mean that they aren't content?

Orr you should read my whole post rather then just the part you like? If it isn't against the rules of the forums it is allowed. The bullying isn't, that's why it was removed, our discussion here has not been so oh idk maybe it is allowed?.....What would the devs rather go through 1000s of feedback reports or being able to look on the forums see a 24 page post and go oh *** this is serious we should see whats wrong. It's not like this even clogs the forums most of this has been one post. Just think about it that's all I ask.

I actually get it quite well and I'm amused that you're still stamping your feet about it. You invoked freedom of speech to base your argument on, he said that freedom of speech doesn't matter on a private forum. He's right, it doesn't. No one is saying you can or cannot say anything so stop bringing it up, The discussion is over with, now run along.

Also, you were not promised 100% access to content, and even if you were you aren't being denied access to any content either because there is nothing stopping you from buying it. This is pretty much a whine fest at this point because you want the promotion which is meant to entice other people to buy the game through a new avenue.

Free speech is plenty relevant here. We're allowed to express our opinions as we please, but here, as also in the constitution, our rights end where the next person's begin. When you impede another person's ability to enjoy posting on these forums (naming and shaming, bullying, etc.), you are no longer within your rights. They're similar enough to be compared in this case, so simply dismissing my point because of my choice of words is a bit childish, don't you think?

No it's not and anyone invoking it has no idea what it means. But keep pretending that free speech means something on a private forum, it's kind of cute.

You are allowed to express your opinions as they adhere to the code of conduct that you agreed to, nothing more. Whether this discussion is allowed by that code of conduct is irrelevant so don't act like it is. I am not dismissing anything, but I am pointing out the folly and ridiculousness of invoking freedom of speech as if it means something.

Read back tot he original of this:
... and since you still don't get it.

What I am saying is that instead of free speach being the issue it is simply up to the forum rules which allow it. What he was originally trying to state was that we aren't even allowed to post here about the issue and the fact is we are.

Actually he was...even if not directly. Or can you not see that? Also I never invoked free speech wasn't my post. I simply agreed with the idea that what we say can't be restricted if it isn't against the rules. Or lets talk about the way you are talking down to me now as if I am a child? This is what I don't get why not just not comment to begin with? We all want to discuss this because it affected us and then people like you want to come in even though it doesn't affect you in any way. Seriously I got to ask in real life would you really talk to someone like this? Would you seriously talk down to them like a child when there is an issue that's important to them at stake? I would guess not and if you would kudos you are basically a horrible person then lol XD but if not then why do it here? is it because there is a screen protecting you from any form of physical contact and no one to put you in your place when you get out of line? If you want to add to a conversation just do it politely and respectfully, don't act like some high and mighty or you won't be taken seriously in the first place, you'll simply be a bad joke.

Well, I can obviously tell that you're running out of logical arguments. However, since quite frankly I have nothing better to do, I'll do what you ask. Just this once - don't tell anyone. ;)

If you'd like to cling to the idea that no one here understands what "freedom of speech" is, I can't stop you, but let me make a few things clear. Since you're going to be so particular about wording, you should understand that the concept of "free speech" is different from the constitutional right, "Freedom of Speech". You should understand that I was referring to the concept alone, and not the section in the Constitution. If you understood that, though, you wouldn't have been so quick to disperse my argument, would you? So before you get so picky, you should step back and take a bit to understand what you're reading, and decide whether or not what you're saying is a valid counterargument.

The concept of free speech exists on this forum. We are allowed to say whatever we want as long as we do not infringe upon the rights of others. So, yes, free speech means something, even if Freedom of Speech doesn't. Good day.

The wolfhound vanity pet is a limited-time bonus available only to those who buy the Imperial Edition of The Elder Scrolls Online through Steam.

Well I guess, who cares about existing subs, lets appeal to vanity players. At least that guarantees a few new people paying100+ sterling to play a few weeks of a sub based single player rpg. Desperate times, desperate measures.

Maybe think about making them accessible in some fashion to the people who have stuck out the last 3 months of headaches. In fact it would go far in making a mends for the 4 weeks of jacked up fps dumps in cyrodil :)

Yep :) Every time someone uses the term "Free Speech" on the internet, some know-it-all comes along to demonstrate their knowledge of the US Constitution.

Approximately none of them knows that the term predates that document by at least a century. The Parliament of England passed a Bill of Rights ensuring "freedom of speech" in 1689. The ancient greeks bounced the concept around.

Correct. His request was to make them accessible, and they will be. The means of access is, of course, still unknown.

Yeah, because I totally was referring to every government that offered some form of this concept.

In general, let's stick to talking about the US Constitution, okay? I've been through history class enough already.
