Are we on a sinking ship?

nerrollus✭✭✭After seeing many negative posts about the upcoming dye and guild store features to be added to the game (all of which I completely agree with), is it time to throw in the towel and admit that this game might not be going in the right direction.
I know that personally I have had such high hopes for the game and its future but after reading yesterdays state of the game I am completely bummed about the upcoming features and direction. Another concern is there was no timeline for anything given and now today a video is released stating that update 3 is scheduled to come out in early August.
I understand timelines change but never lie to your customers. Saying something is coming one month and then wait an entire month to say no, its the next month is deceptive and leads me to think that the company is just trying to staunch the unsub wound.
Forgive my rant. I am just really discouraged by this game and its bleak future.
No. ESO is the best game ever made anywhere ever. If there was a nuclear war all that would be left are roaches and ESO.

Seriously though, ESO is the first MMO I've played in a long time that I've enjoyed this much. They're getting the bugs cleaned up and I'm hoping in another couple months technically speaking they'll be in good shape.

I am NOT a lore fan, but this is clearly lore breaking and does not fit in a Elder Scrolls game. And it comes on top of all the other issues, and instead of actually fixing game breaking issues the game has. Whole 1.3 is more or less fluff, and should have come way behind fixing bugs and imbalances.1 -

Any game whether its an MMO or singe player is about how you personally make it your own. Who cares what other people think? How many times have you seen a movie that got really bad reviews yet you personally loved it? Same thing here. If you have fun playing this game and can get excited about it, then your fine. If you allow others to influence you then your going to have a bad time. If you have already reached the point that your afraid to continue then stop wasting money and move on. It is that simple.0 -

Sabbatus✭✭✭I think the "sinking ship" claims are nothing but hyperbole. The road ahead looks ambitious; it is apparent that there is a long-term plan in place for ESO. I suspect that by October/November we'll be hearing buzz about ESO being the 2014 game of the year, and I can't argue against that. The game has been steadily improving since release, and they seem to have no intention of slowing down.
Overall, I'm pleasantly surprised with the state of the game - they've shown that they are listening to us, not just to the shrillest community voices, but to everyone. That gets high marks from me; I'm used to devs in other games who are indifferent or combative with the community.
