You mean to tell me that the plight of eso and what is causing all this complaining and form bs is 3 freaking range mob groups? That is so comical it is almost sad. People are trying to kill this game because of 3 archers / casters. That is, there are no words for that. You just gotta laugh man. Pro tip avoid mario 2.

I gave ZOS 6 months because the game had loads of potential. Sadly however it seems ZOS are taking it in a direction I don't intend to go, ie. forced-grouping simply to level (aka. VR11-VR12 in Craglorn and the next update to VR14 according to rumour), which means my first 6 month sub. may well be my last.

I payed up for 180 days, maybe a months left. Other than checking a few traits ,maybe the odd sale I log on every now and then. This game hasn't gone in the direction I was hoping it said it would.

Me too. It's sad but there you go. Had a lot of fun doing the original faction stories but there's nothing that entertains me beyond that point. Can't see this changing before the sub runs out. For better or worse they have a pretty hard core vision.

This is fine if it works and I wish them luck but it's not for me.

How long I play will be directly dependent on how much fun I have exploring Solo. If it becomes increasingly necessary to run a private group I'm finished. Craglorn looks to be out for me. I don't see managing any PvP. I would like to reach some good conclusion to the story line but who knows how that will be possible.

Free to play is a very weak way to sell games. I don't regret a single subscription I have paid in over 15 years.

Anyone who can't pay $15 dollars a month should really be budgeting better, or not playing games.

Then you get the ADHD generation who can't stick to one game for half a month.

I don't understand the F2P vs. P2P argument. It's never been about $15/month for me. I played WoW for six years and spent that much, plus expansions and the occasional $25 for a unique mount here and there. I've spent a couple hundred in GW2. Will spend some money on ArcheAge if it ends up being worth my time.

My point? Most people, not all, are looking for a game that will hold their attention for longer than a month or two. They want an in depth game that has the features that appeal to them, and yes, you can't please everybody, but you should strive to please most, and I don't feel Zenimax is even remotely accomplishing that.

My computer was functioning fine and I like the game, but in the last week or so they've added code that makes my configuration stop responding and I have to Ctl/Alt/Del out of the game.
After 10 minutes, sometimes longer, up to 20 minutes, I can no longer open containers or doors. nothing responds and I can't log out.
Task manager shows it is sucking 900 meg of memory and the launcher wants another100 meg.
It didn't do any good to close the launcher after launching either.
That should be programmed to close itself after launching, of course, but it doesn't.
Somehow when they coded in a fix for their memory leaks it had the opposite effect for my computer :-(
My sub is up in another month, but this needs fixed within the week or that's it for me.
I'm so sad because I've always loved Elder Scrolls games.

My payed days are up, been playing from 5 day early access. But got to fustrated at enemies doing 1500 - 2000+ dmg in a single attack. Or use abilities you also have and do 2x the dmg you are able to do. You can not build HP, Stamina and Magic after becoming V1. This whole Veteran ranking is poorly done, most things are saying it is lvl 50. Sometimes enemies are beaten easily, the next they seem to be like Superman and take almost no dmg.

Also I noticed that the Veteran areas are low lvl areas, I could even by lvl 20 and below weapons in a V6 area. For now I 'canceled' my sub, maybe will come back end of this year to check out if this game got better.

Regarding the left people, I noticed that the Veteran areas got more quiet every day. Maybe some went back to start from lvl 1 again.

    Implement this asap guys.

So far, 2 more months waiting, and we'll get dye and a V12 dungeons in July.
Not enough to keep all player sub based going. People are leaving.

I'll stick around a couple more months.
But keep in mind that there are some other MMOs coming soon.
Some massive with twice the amount of ESO's content directly at launch.

Playing MMOs since EQ1, and as for the waiting game?
Been there done that for years, no more.

Spending my money now on games that can deliver their content at launch.
And not waiting years to come for them adding it drop by drop.

Of course, ESO will be spectacular when all this content will be released.
Thats why most players will be back, in 3 or 4 years...

Only mmo on the radar is archage. There is nothing AAA coming until 2016.

It is the same old stuff every game forum has or had tons of this exact topic. You can't go a day that you don't see a similar post the intent being stir up the masses to hate a video game

I made my push for VR1, now I'm going to chill out and just play the game at a slower pace and take up some tradeskills and do some exploring. I suppose I'll play this until I either get tired of playing or something more what I'm looking for comes out (which might be Archeage). I'll still play this, but maybe not as much.

The wife and I will play a character in each alliance up to level 50. At the current rate we're going, I am guessing that will take about 9 months to a year.

Then, at that time, we'll examine our options. If the vet levels are still as terrible as folks are saying they are at that time, we'll move on to the next game, likely EQN or something, maybe back to Rift (definitely not Wildstar).

If the 50+ level range is still a mess after 9 months to a year, then Zeni doesn't deserve our $. I am fine and understanding to a point, but everyone only has so much patience. ;)

I plan on cancelling when i get bored enough. If the devs can pull off their plans and fix what ails this game that might be a long time. if they can't it won't be long. I do appreciate that they do seem more responsive to player concerns than most F2P games.

They are adding arenas, so my sub ends then for sure.
They said they are not planning PvP arenas, it was just a mode made especially for E3.

I plan to stick around but I must admit, my enthusiasm has died a little as I literally struggle on VR 2 zones as a VR 7 Templar. Sometimes I get lucky and manage not to die at literally every 2nd-3rd group, other times I just keep dying.

I also feel the need of making VR content till Craglorn entirely optional, maybe even Craglorn too by adding ways to level as solo and in PvP. Or make it like the tutorial zone, you do other 2 factions on one character, from then on, when you hit VR 1, you could just, I don`t know, go talk to Cadwell to get to VR 10 with the alts instantly, with all main zone quests done, Skill points acquired for them, but you would still have to go back for Skyshards and bosses, delves, dungeons etc.

While I find it okay to do VR zones once on manageable difficulty, it should be made optional for alts. And by manageable difficulty, I don`t mean making it easy to faceroll, just fixing Stamina/Heavy Armor builds, increasing Physical weapon damage and perhaps reducing mob HP by a certain % since we hardly get any stronger while in VR zones while the mobs keep getting more powerful.

I will, however, spend some extra time on looking for new skills setup, see if I can manage, but I won`t respec, I am finishing VR 2 zone soon, then I will just hunt all the Skyshards in the next zone and grab some extra skills.

TL;DR: I think by fixing VR difficulty by buffing stamina/heavy armor builds more viable and perhaps reducing mob HP and making VR content from 1-10 at least optional (either for any character or after previously completing it on one character), a lot of the complaints would be fixed. Then, and only then, should they think of adding new content and expanding current ones in my opinion.

For me the fun in ESO is all about playing with the guild, having a little community ingame and on TS.

Unfortunetly, that seems to be a failure... Most people have left. At lower levels, bugs and lag keep people from enjoying it so they give up early. At veteran levels, the boring grind simply make them give up. I cant help them with either thing because of the phase system messing up questing with friends when you've already done it. Bringing people into PvP? HA! No true EU server means consistently high latency in addition to the horrendous server skill lag. Broken large groups doesnt help. But then again maybe the guild can muster 2-3 people in PvP groups now compared to 20+ after release so that doesnt really matter. Most people interested in purely PvP left when the broken vampires ran wild, I still cant believe ZOS allowed that to continue for so long. Vampires should have been beaten down to werewolf level (ie useless) in hours.

I'm really trying to enjoy what's left of the game but this is starting to stretch my limits.

I dont see why I should keep paying ZOS a monthly fee for this. There's nothing to keep me interested in the game. I looked forward to something as simple as chat bubbles for a while, but nope, that's nowhere in sight even though it was "internally working" months ago. I dont know what to look forward to. EU server moving to EU? Eeeeeehhhh... Does anyone still believe that's going to happen?!

I already cancelled. I will no longer participate in this PAID LIVE SERVER BETA TEST program. This game -- to me -- is still in a beta stage. It probably won't reach a stable version for another 6 months as they continue to pander to all of the elitist desires.

By the time the MMO elitist who think ESO was made for them are done, ESO will just be another WoW clone and be far removed from the Elder Scrolls.

    They all want a store.
    They all want an AH.
They all want grindy activities to keep them occupied.
    They all want special status.
They all want special gear that only an elite MMO gamer can obtain.
Basically, they don't care about the game. They care about their virtual status. It's pathetic.

Looks like my days of PC gaming might be over....pretty bummed actually :(

Many years ago my shoulder actually froze from over Everquestiing. Today I have learned to pace myself a bit. Switching mouse sizes every day or so helps. A trackball helps some people. Mostly I find that frequent breaks for my wrists, shoulders and eyes to be helpful. That and naproxen. LOL
