Were they queued? I think it works differently if you queue for it vs port in directly.

I was having the same problem then I accidentally hard pressed it and it worked.

I can't figure out why they put a keybind with "acquire/hold" if it doesn't do anything. I can't even figure out what "hold" is supposed to do anyway.

This is the most confusing system so far. Even worse than subclassing.

Thank you for telling me that you hard pressed it and it worked for you. It worked for me too. I think what it should have said that to acquire that prize, you have to hold down the E "acquire" button. (I play on PC). You just can't click it quick. Thanks for relieving my stress. I truly appreciate it.

I didn't hard press the "E". I hard pressed the item I wanted to purchase and that bought it for me.

I still don't understand the whole "acquire/hold" thing. It looks like a toggle of some sort. I just don't get it.

The design is to hold the button so you don't accidentally claim items you didn't mean to. Other games work like this because instead of two button presses (one to select the item, another to confirm) you only have one button press (hold the button to confirm, prevents accidental presses). This reduces the number of times you need to press buttons.

ZOS should adopt this technology into other parts of ESO. This game uses similar mechanisms like pulling up a text box and asking you to write text to confirm, or pulling up a prompt asking you to press the same button again to confirm. This new tech could improve the flow of the UI and save the user time.

i also hate that quest, wish it had the choice to kill the quest giver instead

Seals (formerly seals of endeavour) have only ever been used to buy crate items, not stuff sold directly in the crown store. It's something put in place to comply with Microsoft's policy that anything in loot boxes has to be earnable by playing.

Trade bars as far as I know are used for old bonus items and possibly some new unique rewards, but also can't be used to get anything currently in the crown store.

That means it's not surprising neither can be used to buy storage chests. As other people have said there are options besides spending crowns on them. Writ vouchers are probably the easiest option for anyone who does crafting, and for anyone else tel var is the way to go.

That might happen with the Night Market, but writ vouchers are the easiest way, since people will do those to level up/grind CP.

It would be really nice to be able to buy the storage coffers for Trade Bars.

Honestly, writ vouchers are a much much faster and easier grind.

Even in the Tome you get a significantly better deal on vouchers:

Premium pg 3: 10k TV
Free pg 5: 10k TV
Premium pg 11: 75 writ vouchers
Free pg 12: 50 writ vouchers

50 vouchers pays for 50% of a coffer or 25% of a chest.

10k TV pays for 10% of a coffer or 5% of a chest.

And the TV reward is 300 Tome Points on the free track, whereas the writ voucher reward is 200.

You do have to open up more pages, but that seems pretty feasible right now through regular play.

This whole auto buy thing is ridiculous.

Lets say there is only 1 thing I want, that thing is on page #9 I want to get. I get enough Tomes to unlock the pages, and I get the 1 item that I wanted. Now have19,000 Tomes left over, nothing else I want so nothing else I select.

Seasons over, I now get 2000 tomes brought forward and I get 17,000 tomes worth of stuff from the lower pages that I skipped to get to page #9.

Can I sell the stuff to a NPC?
Are you going to increase my bank space to accommodate it all?
How is it being deliverer in game mail or?


Why do they still not have complete information on how this tomes stuff actually works? Why little drips of information on various different social media outlets when they have official forum with no response to questions and no full explanation of how this all works is just silly. (A big Thanks to those that use those other social media outlets for posting on here what they find.)

I really do not know what to make of all this.
