The strangest thing just happened in a group dungeon

A couple of friends were doing a vet dungeon and were at the next to last boss. I joined at that point to help. We killed that boss and the final one. Then, the group disbanded, but the dreaded countdown timer did not appear! Is it possible this has been done away with, or is this just a fluke?

Update, I guess it was just a fluke. I did the same thing again, joined midway through a normal dungeon to help some guildies, and this time I exited the group, and got the timer. The last time, I didn't exit the group, everyone else did first.

Were they queued? I think it works differently if you queue for it vs port in directly.

That’s a good point,. I believe the first friends had entered the dungeon to get a drop at the end of the dungeon, and the second group had queued for their dungeon, Fang Lair, and had people immediately drop out because it was too long.
