Khajiit thinks this is simple, really - it is because those folks know it to not be true. 2 sided BGs can be reliably dominated by a skilled set of players with appropriate gear and experience (henceforth referred to as 'try-hards' for brevity) with no recourse for their less skilled, experienced, or equipped opponents, match after match after match.

3 teams simply could not mirror this guarantee - no matter how good someone was, you could not execute a complete lockdown against 2x as many people, should they organize against you, even if they were not nearly as 'try-hard'y as you were.

The 'try-hards' know this, and they don't wish to suffer occasional losses (or more than occasional losses) due to being outnumbered by n00bs, and so they have script to which they adhere which elucidates all the arguments.

Khajiit is not sure how he feels about this, really. 'Try-hard'iness should be rewarded, it is known.

On the other hand, khajiit enjoyed more than occasional trips to BGs during the 3 team phase, and was perhaps on the cusp of legitimately 'try-hard'iness. But 2 teams? Khajiit did exactly 2 2-team bgs, and they were without a doubt the most awful experiences this one has had in ESO, in ~25k hours worth of playing.

If they can't program Personalities to at least use a generic weapon that matches whatever type you have equipped (a generic sword if you have a Sword, generic dagger for Daggers, etc), then they really should stop making Personalities tied to weapons. Nothing about 'monster hunter' strikes me as a person that only uses a 2H weapon that they also edgily carry on their shoulder at all times.

If you aren't interested in the story, you were basically getting one trial, maybe a unique system and if you're lucky a mythic each year. And that's it for "massive" content for that particular year. If anything I'd call that a massive money grab for junk. At least now you get something of value.

Thanks for your reply, but I disagree.

Even if you were not interested in the story, you got a massive new zone to explore with dungeons and delves, new antiquities to dig up, new lore books, new NPC characters to meet, new towns to explore with unique furnishings, new trader spots for guilds and so on. That's all gone now, and let's face it everything in the Tomes and Trade Bar stores is cosmetic junk that makes no difference to gameplay.

If I had known only 2000 would carry over I wouldn't have opened my caches because I seriously don't think I will spend all these. I put in a ticket and asked if they could be put back into caches. This should have been explained much better and in a very prominent place. I hope they help those of us that weren't aware of this when this system went live today and place our points back into our caches so we don't lose them.

Agreed. I checked the Currencies tab before opening the Caches, where Tome Points are just listed among all the other non-expiring currencies, with no cap nor anything else to suggest that one might need to even consider that they could possibly expire.

Not as much unique elements in these tomes as I was expecting. Aside from the materials and currencies, and some old furnishings, there's what, like... two new style sets for weapons and armor?
I know there is a bit more than that as well, but very little I see which can expand player character identity. And also very little related to dawn and dusk besides a pinch of skill styles.

Don't get me wrong, the currencies are cool. It just feels odd to complete tasks to earn currency just to buy more currency. There's not really anything in the premium version that is unique which makes me want to buy it, I'd just buy it for some of the additional supplies. I'm still deciding if I'd like to or not.
So I'm using a currency to buy access to a currency in order to buy currency.
