Potential Tome Cache points refunds for people and/or Tome reset?

Many people jumped excitedly into Season 0 and may have accidentally opened all their Tome caches with 6 months or annual ESO+. It is understandable that some people may have missed the help section, a refund and maybe a tome reset wouldn't be that hard i think, it is the first season after all, mistakes and oopsies were about to happen. The team should include things like that in the articles.

Never looked at help. Saw the popup when logged in, saw caches to open, and opened them. It was on Reddit I learned that only 2000 will carry over to next season. There should not be any rollover limitation on this, but not surprising that ZOS creates something good, and then makes it not so good (e.g., per character armory slots).

Agreed. I checked the Currencies tab before opening the Caches, where Tome Points are just listed among all the other non-expiring currencies, with no cap nor anything else to suggest that one might need to even consider that they could possibly expire.

Same, oooppps. I got 16k left to spend (bought the bonus thing too). My bad for not researching this before hand. Just to clarify, we do loose all tome points at the end of the season, even if we bought the bonus stuff and get the season to last indefinitely (minus the carry-forward of 2000 tome points)?? Sorry, I'm not clear on this.

So they scam us out of points basicly. So we pay more money...
before we opened them there should be a notification of info.. I literaly didnt knew this hapens
All points need to go into next season...
