I have to 100% agree with this!!
I would add to that my actual account names too! I presume it will not be possible to have multiple accounts with the same names, who get to keep theirs and who loses out would for me be a very big issue!
I suspect this is a very big part of the issues they need to resolve before implementing cross play.
I don't know how they could resolve this but our user id and character names are probably the most important parts of our accounts for a lot of players.
Besides the name issue, PC and Console have very different ways of doing many things. I can foresee a lot of conflict arising from this.
@ZOS_Kevin Thanks for clarifying the new changes, its very welcome news! Could you please tell us if any of the numerous posts requesting info regarding bringing back a three team format Battleground in addition to the two team Bg format has received any consideration? Or if any three team Bg events are being planned for the future? We'd really appreciate any info you could provide on that subject please.

Its killing the game for a lot of newer players when you have us sweaty players going 50/0 every match because we are stuck being qued against these people every other month.
We have shared the note on MMR reset in the past. Happy to do so again. My understanding is additional tech work needs to be done to make that happen. But I do not have a status on that right now.
Please do keep passing this on. You can trace 99% of peoples complaints about BGs to how mismatched theyve become since they started resetting MMR in U44. The answer we were given in the Q&A was that they were resetting MMR to lineup with the weekly leaderboard (which makes no sense as the resets are monthly).
Resetting MMR and mismatching lobbies is essentially a meat grinder for new players and frustrating for everyone.
The reality:
DPS sharing addons and ESO Logs are destroying ESO’s community.

Very intelligent take from you, thank you for bumping the thread! Can you please explain the learn to play issue with being desynced and not able to control your character? Thank you!
It's not very clear what you're talking about. Desynchronization is more of a problem with internet connections and large groups of players. You always have control over your character. Is someone else controlling your character?
The problem of lagging when there are a lot of players shouldn't be solved by cutting out mechanics. Microsoft should ask a question about the competence of the current development team.
Do you have control over where your character is moving while you are desynced from a jav? The answer is no, you literally do not. Your character will be stuck in place, from your own perspective you are moving but if you are in group with anyone else they can see you in the same position until you are no longer positionally desynced . You have zero control during that moment of where you are going, and it can last over 10 seconds which is a surefire way to die.
As I've said multiple times in this thread which you haven't read, I agree, I would prefer a fix, I would prefer the problem actually be addressed. Not all abilities that interact with movement cause desync the same way, so changing it shouldn't be impossible, but they aren't going to, and if they aren't going to I'd rather it just function as a regular CC than bug someone's character.
The problem is with Cyro and large groups. These problems don't exist on BG. Solve the underlying issue rather than shifting it to the mechanics. If the development team is unable to fix it, then there is also a problem with the development team.
You aren't saying anything. What are you asking to do, fire the dev team? Your responses are lacking in any sort of real world solutions and applications. You've brought them up multiple times. They are not going to fire the entire dev team because there is desync in cyro. All that needs to happens is a removable of the issues that cause desync.
I agree with what they're saying. It's not nothing. It's just as valid as anything you've posted in this thread.

People say things like this because they think it is going to make ball groups just go away from PvP. I hate to break it to everyone but they could get rid of DC and ROA and there will still be ball groups. We will still find alternative sets. You're not going to b e able to get rid of a core group of 12 people who take pride in their comp.
