Killers blade should deal physical damage.
Design a Staminamorph. Then we will benifit from mighty in cp points.

    Staminamorph.

This for sure but the issue is also with:
    - Power Extraction (magic damage - stamina morph)
    - Assassin's Will (magic damage)
    - Ultimates (magic damage)
    - Skills and Ultimates of Fighters Guild (physical + magic damage)

The changement to CP should address this as well otherwise changing the kind of damage skills and Ultimates would be more complicated, creating then an issue for magicka builds.

Actually I've been playing nightblade since the beginning of the game and I've read a lot of people complaining about us, about our ingame behavior and how frustrating it is to make a run for it and be almost one-shot from the back without being able to do anything.

Here's my actual question to ZOS, do you think it's a thing only nightblade can do ?

Here's my actual understanding, magika nightblade are a pain in the ass ! and stamina Nightblade, well brother from an other mother. That's fine by me, I understand you must get thousand of complain each week about a Nightblade nerf at some point, why because people in cyrodill are not gear to handle dps. I know it, I've the same issue at some point too much focus on my dps.

But other then that, what was the actual issue with cloak ? I mean yes it's an amazing skill but let's face it... do we get major protective spell as every other class does by putting a 30sec buff (sorry templar, almost all of the other at some point). No, we need to activate a skill and it last 6 second, so I won't have it as the fight starts as most class could.

Do I have a self heal that could help me pave my way through a long fight or somehow help me, if I'm any other class I've (Funnel btw don't classify as a heal, I just went on Magonknight and I realise how little I healed. So once again no such thing for the nightblade, our only option is to get a kill.

So finally what's left for this class ? we don't need to die at the hand of a stronger ennemy, that's what's left for nightblade. How do we do it, we cloak our way out that's our only option, we don't reflect dommage, we don't have a huge healing capacity, we don't even have the best dps.

So honnestly Zenimax I think you've put too much effort against the nightblade on this one. Too many change actuallly nerf us from the start. You need to make a choice, you think that giving purge to a non-healing class is too strong... Ok, can you at least give us something Worth it in exchange.

Here's two option I see fit:

    - Give major version of the buff instead of minor (magika nightblade would rock while stamina nightblade will have issue but at least we won't have to rely on rally and vigor so much.

    - Gives us immunity to crowd controle effect while I shadow cloak as well.

So here's my opinion about that matter.

[*]Reduced the bonus movement speed from the Major Expedition buff category to 30% from 40%.

    what a horrible decision ...
please dont do this. especially as a passive we should have "Increased" sneak speeds as a passive, a set armor for thieves guild increasing sneak speeds, or even a potion granting 90% increased speed.

you guys allready deleted and removed the fast sneak speeds we had, you did it without explanation of what was wrong with it.
and you STILL have no answer as to how its cheating or even why you think fast sneak speeds is bad.
many many people were very angry about it, and to be honest it was horrible that it could even be imagined let alone done.
but, here now again we see that you have removed even More of our sneak speeds and even just "movement speed" ingeneral is now being made slower.
    horrible, just horrible.
speechless to think that you actually "Favor" slowing us down more and more and more, and more ...

They are doing this to make sure that folks with magicka and great magicka regen cant pace stamina sprinters. Magicka regens while the buff is active, stamina does not regen while sprinting. Sprinting was increased to 40% from 30%. This change makes great sense.

How many stamina user do you actually see sprinting out of a fight :pensive: ,

the changes to PVE nb are a joke.
If that is your answer to PVP nerf nb threads...

cloak wont really cange anything at all.
Funnel spam, well that was never a problem in PVE, but now you nerfing PVE nb healers and DD with it.
Siphoning, same story, you nerfing mag and stam DD, as well as any form of sap tank.

NB are in PVE already the worst classes for DD, mag nb was more of a support than a really power house DD, sustain from siphoning + caltrops meant that we had unlimited supplie of mag for aoe situations. now we got weak single target, unsustained AOE, *** tank options, only heal is still halfway decent but worse than before...

    great job

    Can someone clarify with Cloak;

Are DoT's PAUSED while in Cloak, or does the 0 damage ticks while in cloak, count towards the total runtime of the DoT?

In other words, can i cloak through the entire duration of a DoT and take 0 Damage?

Yes. This would be a nice thing. Impale deals Magic Damage and gets buffed with CPs. Killerblades does not get this treatment...

Perhaps i will reroll on a Magicka DK because of the changes in the pts patch notes ...

Is there anything to compensate NBs for the buff to mage light? Has cloak and stealth been rendered obsolete?

I just think they're going a little overboard by hitting our only defense so hard. It's not like we have an uncrittable damage shield we can spam over and over while delivering nuclear damage.

Leeching Strikes (Morph of Siphoning Strikes) Is still in a very bad place, the 2% in health return does next to nothing, and still renders Siphoning Attacks (other morph of Siphoning Strikes) far superior for all playstyles.

I only use the ability for a cool roleplay effect, yet it would be awesome to see this ability in actual use, instead of it just being a cool effect.

The only issue with Leeching Strikes is the low 2% in health return, if it were to be increased to 4% or 5%, the ability would be a useful tool for small self-healing for the Nightblade class. It should still remain as a toggle, and have its decrease in weapon power, but the healing % returned should be increased to 4 or 5.

    Thats my input.

Just Radiant Magelight should reveal stealthed/invisible targets and with a lesser range, not both morphs.

This buff is not affecting just Cloak and sneak but:

    - Master Assasin (NB Assasination passive)
    - Veiled Strike (NB Shadow skill, both morphs) >> with cloak unable to work, the skill is unable to stun
    - Clouding Swarm (Vampire ultimate)
    - Sneaky (Bosmer and Khajiit racial passive)

These should be overlooked in some way and changed/improved accordingly.

The main issue arised in forum was the permacloak, adjustments were surely required but in forum I read better suggestions in the past months than this solution.
An issue that was based more on magicka NB will affect both magicka and stamina NB (also because of the changement to Dark Cloak).
What is too much out off hand is that a non class skill is able to completely negate a core skill, the following mechanics and passive skills, plus an Ultimate and two racial passive skills.
It's ok that Flare can do it but Magelight is already a buff and Radiant Magelight has no more the magicka malus.

After all the hype for many class changements, I was expecting something more (same applies to Stamina Sorc), especially considering some active and passive skills.

Omg yes.. thank you for these patch notes.. i really do love all the changes..

    Some feedback:
    - Excellent PvE update and i think everyone here is happy. Well except maybe templars but BoL needs a nerf it's true.
    - Stamina Builds didn't get much of anything except a indirect nerf via the revised CP system but the new stam sets are amazing.
    - Alot of the PvPers are really unhappy but we all know pvp players are are the loudest. Hopefully those cyrodil improvements will be awesome.

Overall good patch notes. Keep up good work..

No need for the Funnel Health nerf IMHO. I don't know about PvE because I never do it but Magicka Nightblades in PvP are pretty well balanced and this is a good solid nerf to their usefulness in small group play. If a change is necessary, why not halve the healing and keep two targets? Is it a server performance issue? I don't understand what the goal of this nerf is. Came out of left field for me as a nightblade healer.

Oh lest not forget the still useless shades, only shadow image is good for some few pvp encounter, and the shade(s) still count as npcs using light attacks, the reason why it wont trigger any monster sets or likes.

You almost NEVER see it in PvP. Shadow Image is actually a liability most of the time because you try to use it, and when it doesn't work you're completely caught out. The restrictions on when it can be used and where it can be used, make it, in my opinion, the most difficult and most risky to use skill in the game.

What's up with Siphoning Attack nerf? I understands that you nerf our Funnel so that all classes heals will be "on-par" with the rest. Congratulations I guess on making a NB tank relying on Templar's shard just like any other tank now.

Thanks for destroying all 4 of my nightblades that I've spent thousands of hours building. You guys are a joke. Buffs that apply only to group members..? Zerg or die. The soloist is no more. You can not imagine how much bad feedback you guys get throughout group/guild/area chat. So many good dedicated players are talking about putting this game back on the shelf. Most of my PVP guild members are ESO plus and consistently spend money to play your game. You can expect a few cancelations today and lots more throughout the next few months. You created an amazing game here guys, quit destroying it for those of us who put in the time to optimize our characters/builds.

I literally choked while eating breakfast and reading this -

    Magelight-
This ability and its morphs are no longer toggle abilities; instead, they will grant their Critical Strike rating benefits as long as they are slotted (similar to Expert Hunter).

Magelight can now be activated to summon a mote of magelight which exposes hidden or invisible enemies in an 8 meter radius for 5 seconds, and prevents revealed enemies from returning to stealth for 5 seconds.

This ability and the Radiant Magelight morph no longer decrease your maximum Magicka, due to the toggle changes noted above.

The Radiant Magelight morph will continue to prevent you from being stunned by stealth attacks, and will reduce damage from stealth attacks while slotted as a morph effect. Activating it also increases the radius of the activated reveal to 12 meters, and reduces the cost.

The Inner Light morph will continue to increase your maximum Magicka while slotted.

Wtf was the point of limiting funnel health to 1 heal?
The breath of life nerf was also unnecessary. Are they trying to artificially make content harder by nerfing heals?

Yep, they took away any trade off choice between offense and defense on this one. The anti- stealth aspect should only be available for one of the morphs. Let inner light trigger major sorcery instead or something offensive.

Streaking sorcs with detect potions were bad enough but usually they had to fumble around to change quick slot settings and may or may not have finished their previous potion cooldown. This gives sorcs an on demand stealth detector and they will be streaking like crazy once they see you plus be all charged up with more offensive firepower.

Really hope this gets looked at and changed.

Inner Light is now so effective, most magicka players would be crazy not to use it. Just by slotting it, my magicka nb gains 2000 magicka and 10% crit chance. In addition, it is also a hard counter to stealth and cloak (6 second detect + 5 second cloak negate) that grants Empower.

Making Inner Light so attractive is an indirect nerf to cloak. IMO, a majority of magicka users will use it. Surely many Stamina users will also use it for Empower.

Please reconsider the changes to this ability. This combined with the changes to Dark Cloak, represent a significant nerf to a core function of the Nightblade class.

THIS. This is the real nerf to Cloak. Not only will you slot Inner Light, but you will use it as regular part of rotation (so at least every 5 seconds) for Empower buff. This means someone using it in their rotation will nearly always have a the detection up for the duration of the fight. No need for detect pots or flare any more.

Now that Siphoning Attacks can't proc off Twisting Path and Caltrops (just tested it on PTS), I think ZOS should have a look at the value of its stat return. Resource management was the main strong point of NB tanks, but that is now largely diminished. Having a way to help sustain resources while blocking was key for boss fights where you can't afford to drop block often. SA still works nicely with light attack weaving, but blockcasting a cheap ability like Swallow Soul or Entropy only goes so far in maintaining stamina (and magicka) while blocking multiple attacks, taunting, buffing, etc. Sap Essence is still a strong way to proc it, but requires there to be multiple mobs, so not good for many boss fights.

The main issue with SA was coupling it with Caltrops. It was really awesome combo, but admittedly OP in some situations. Since that was the issue, why not just tweak it so Caltrops doesn't proc SA? Or that SA only procs off the first 6 targets (same limit as AoE dmg cap) hit by an AoE DoT?

Since they can't be blocked, it makes sense to me that ground target AoE DoTs like Twisting/Refreshing Path should proc it. The size of these AoE DoTs is also much smaller than Caltrops, and thus poses less risk of mass proccing. In addition, NB tanks make use of these AoE DoTs already for the damage, utility, and Shadow Barrier passive proc, so allowing SA to proc off them would also support common NB tanking abilities. Single target DoTs, such as Cripple, Lotus Fan, or bleeds should not proc (so the same as it has been).

Oh, and this one goes for all classes, is the fact that since most ultis are magickal damage they of course scale of spell penetration, making it that if a NB stam used veil of blades versus a NB magicka both with the same amount of ressources and damage and cp, the NB magicka would hit harder due it scaling of spell pen, rather then what is highest (granted would be a prob if the sharpened mace bug persisted).

    So from what I get from this update is;
Sorcs are still the best class to run,
Templers are still the worst class,
Good thing I have a stamNB and a magNB so I can alternate between the 2 depending on which way the wind is blowing,
Nearly all of my chars will have some form of Mage Light slotted because of the obvious advantages.
