Okay, the lag I understand. Not all computers can handle it so smoothly. Even then I've always based myself out of less populated areas for that reason.

Breaking immersion? A stretch. Duels were quite the speculative sport to watch back when there were no video games.

Spammed requests? Set auto-decline on.

PvP'ers get one damn update in so long (don't say IC) and (based on this poll) 50% of people are too concerned about flashing lights getting in the way of their crafting to realise the people around them are playing the damn game. Go craft somewhere else if people playing together bothers you, you don't need to be around others to craft.

For realz? What type of obscure ass place is that? Exactly the type of thing only PvE'ers would know about.

Completed Caldwell's gold and can't see it on my map and googling "ESO Hammer Death Arena" only brings up another thread complaining about duelers and 100 vma guides.

It's a new place they added specifically for the new Dueling! You have to discover it the same way you have to discover everything again in Craglorn. There's no addon that shows where it is yet. I found it simply by porting to the way shrine near it when doing guild invites. It's not that hard to find!

Okay everyone, instead of dueling lets go find this super secret location, then we can duel.

Duels in a city is a little weird... usually a city is a safe place, has guards and nothing bad usually happens (except in hidden areas)...

Now if there was a duel arena building then that would be fun... like each city has a Fight Club.

I love that the cities are all bustling now with people doing something other than running to the bank. They look like... cities. Most of the dueling I have seen in cities has been in more appropriate areas, like near the Undaunted enclaves. Of course the Undaunted will brawl with each other! (Between quaffing beverages.) And, yes, people should get into fights in taverns.

Was it less immersion breaking when there were dead bodies with their living NPCs next to them everywhere, and guards walking over them? That quieted down; this will too, and common dueling meet up spots will emerge.

No, I probably ain't gonna cancel my sub over this -but I 100% agree that duelling inside cities should be removed for immersive reasons.
It just doesn't make sense the guards would tolerate this sort of behaviour, since realistically, it would cause major damage to the towns and endanger its citizens. It seems entirely contradictory to the jstice system in place.
(And before one more person sprouts bs like 'But dueling was a popular sport! And the fighters guild NPCs are fighting each other as well!' -'Dueling' in that sense is sword fighting or simple hand-to-hand combat. Not causing major explosions that wipe out everything in a 25m radius. You're thinking modern warfare, not high fantasy -is moving 100m out of town to stop being an annoyance really that hard? I'd think not.)

They could have just disabled dueling in any area that has a small map tied to it. I've already turned on the option to auto decline as it took all of 5 minutes to get annoyed by the requests while picking up the pledges.

Lower FPS in the crowded cities have always been a problem for me. But now it's even a bigger problem since my FPS drop even more when some kids are dueling nearby. Not to mention the intrusive jumping around, spamming abilities, noise etc.

I know it is a new toy but please, enjoy it somewhere else. Go outside the city walls! Go to the new arena in Stormhaven! You guys have plenty of places to duel, but for the gods sake why in the capital cities!? Nobody wants to look at you dueling, nobody cares and nobody admires you because of that.

Dueling in cities should not give bounty, but if dueling got spotted by cities guards then the guards should have the ability to cancel the duel and tell players go fight somewhere else. That should reduces the amount of dueling in cities.

Making it a crime to participate in a duel within city boundaries is a great idea. I'd also like to see pets automatically disperse once you're within the city boundaries, as things will soon get very crowded with only a single, multi-faction instance.

I too get annoyed at having to wade through pets in banks and stores as well. I would like to see them unsummoned.

I'd also like to see guards react negatively to dueling in places like stores and the bank. It's highly annoying, it DOES affect other people, no matter how many try to justify and pass off that it doesn't.
I've always wished that guards would do something about the stupid ability spam that goes on and on in places like Rawl'kha for absolutely no reason other than to make flashy lights and sounds and annoy people.

Take it outside and have some friggin consideration.

I don't see how anyone'd win, the divide is pretty much 50/50 if you provide the lower amounts of no's a 2 point lead for the margin of error.

I gave you the zone it was located in and I told you when you ported to the way shrine near it that it would pop up on your map. You had to go to all of 8 wayshrines MAX to find the damn spot! Less than 8 actually since 3 of those 8 wayshrines are close enough to the arena that it pops up on the map! You obviously found it with my directions as well, so buddy, you're officially talking out your ass now.

Oh gosh Taylor, maybe because it's a game of exploration? Maybe because it was designed as a location SPECIFICALLY for the dueling you claim to care so much about? Maybe because in your heart of hearts you know that you're being deliberately obtuse now. In fact, if you had already mapped out all of Storm Haven previously, I don't see how you could possibly miss seeing the brand new big Question Mark at the location of the arena. You really didn't have to guess which way shrine I was talking about if you had bothered to look! I just looked on a character who's never been there and the question mark is quite visible!

Why do you keep doing this?

1) There was no question mark.

2) I care about dueling, but I also love how convenient it is, you don't have to travel to the middle of nowhere, you can stay near the bank and crafting stations to constantly adjust your build.

3) Some of us prefer PvP over exploration, you are trying to restrict the way people play the game. We are not forcing you to duel, you can walk right through a duel to your crafting station.

I've replied to every point you have raised, I'm yet to see a half decent reason why you would cancel your sub over dueling in towns. I've even highlighted the main reason I like dueling in towns and think that demanding a change is ridiculous.... just in case you wanted to respond intelligently.

I notice he has totally ignored you while he's still whining about me not posting a pretty picture of the arena! He can't read either because I've already plainly stated why I don't appreciate dueling near the bankers and crafting areas halfway down the first page of this thread. It causes me to make mistakes, like accidentally depositing gold into the wrong guild bank, clicking on the wrong item in a guild store that I didn't want to buy. But hey, as long as he gets to have his EPeen on display, why should that matter. I will answer his one question though. I Unsubscribed to send ZOS a message with my wallet that I'm not going to keep paying them for a game where griefing like this is encouraged!
