    played a little today(pc) after not really bothering much this week, def worse than ever absolute load of molag bals.

    Right. so i join the cyrodiil campaign and uses the transit shrine for a 2nd time. i get the 2-3minutes long loading screen, which i know, means the following use of transits will result in the same 2-3 mintues loading screens. i exit the game and relogs back into the game-which argueably is faster than waiting for the loading screen to get done- I appear back in craglorn and have to reenter cyro AGAIN... as a 22th player in the que, the time it takes for me to get back into the fight all the potential stuff i could have achieved is denied, same as when i transit to defend a keep, i get the eternal loading screen and misses the defense tick OR i cant be the single guy that turns the tide of the battle and my faction losses our last emperor keep.

    If im not mistaken this issue has been since 2015, if not for longer... you talk about "one Tamriel" and all of those awesome things you're going to make... but you cant get an over-a-year-or-longer-issue fixed first? you make me as a player want to skip alliance war cause of the loading screens. and i do like the alliance war.

    Hardware currently is not something we are discussing for Cyrodiil performance but that can always change...just look at scrolling combat text as a key example of how things may not be in the cards right now, but they could be later.

    As for the immediate though, from what we can see with our data from the first night of DB, performance does appear better however we will continue to monitor this very closely and see what else we can do soon.

    Do you take into account what the players are telling you? If so performance sucks lol

    Game of the Year 2015.

    Yersterday, during Euro Prime on Trueflame , 999+ ping, 5 FPS, for about 30 minutes, just because 3 factions were fighting to take out the last emperor's keep (Ash).

    The lag will never be fixed in this game, it's sad.

    • Remove / Change CPs System, remove current CP/noCP campaigns and introduce one 30days with lock, one with no locks
    • Fix crashes when approaching a keep under attack because of bad / wrong rendering prioritization system
    • Change emperorship to value faction score points and not alliance points - see this and this
    • Fix long loading screens (mostly caused by players joining group out of rendering range)
    • Add 2 more quickslots to the wheel or add a different wheel for sieges weaponry only
    • Fix Balista Bolts not dealing damage on walls or doors if deployed at a certain place
    • Release bigger battlegrounds with 8 to 16 players per team and only two teams
    • Fix the permanent block animation - see examples : link1 link2 link3 link4 link5
    • Gives players 10 minutes to get back into Cyrodiil after relogging / crashing
    • Add a function to ignore the Claiming system of useless rewards
    • Improve the Mailing System / Rewards of the Worthy stacking
    • Assign specific group sizes to specific campaigns (24-16-8)
    • Make forward camps impossible to place near objectives
    • Make snares only available from ground effects abilities

    Not really the case for my platform, but I wouldn't be able to speak for Xbox ofc. Most of the players who would\did run a good organized ball group jumped ship sometime between orsinium and DB, and even then most of our good guilds can't\couldn't justify playing in the main PvP campaign as you can get good YouVFaction on a buff server with next to no lag. If anything the lag on our main campaign has only gotten better since launch so I have no idea how everyone thinks this is the worst its ever been. I remember a few dethrone attempts that literally made barswap unresponsive for +15 minutes and even our worst dethrones of TG and DB haven't been nearly that bad.

    Your game is unplayable in Cyrodiil. It's 00:15am right now on Euro server and we have between 550 to 1k ping.

    It's just AWFUL. Everyone is complaining about it.

    Is there any plan to make it playable any day ? We're tired of seeing your team unable to fix the lag.

    Or at least admit that you will never be able to fix it, so we can pass on and go play something else.

    I run 8 man groups and have always been coordinated. The game has always been laggy and crashing. Just so happens it's gotten worse.

    PS4 Player here. My experience in Cyrodiil ranges from bad to terrible. Thing is, I'm always second guessing myself as to whether it's my ISP and I should drop an extra $60/month for a higher speed, or whether it's server-side.

    For instance last night, 2-3 seemingly highly skilled players were just running circles around everyone killing everybody in sight. It was like everyone else was trying to fight them 3-5 seconds in the past, simply trying to catch them and figure out what was going on. They would disappear and instantaneously chop over to other locations (and this was not invis or cloak) and apparently use abilities that you NEVER saw them cast. (I only knew because of my death recap lol) It is pretty clear that at least some what we think of as "elite" players are not experiencing this lag, and this is the direct reason why they are able to wipe 10-20 people like it's a stroll in the park. What the heck gives? So are these really server issues, or should I pay for more bandwidth? A constant point of doubt for me...

    Yup last nigh my toon was sumersalting in slow motion due to such horrible lag.
    I have never seen it so bad.
    Its not due to packets of info it's not my provider
    It's your server.
    When I started playing we had hundreds of players on now there's a handful and it still can't handle the population.
    I know your making lovely d l c s and race change and hair cuts but it's time you fix this.

    Leave it up to ZOSE to purposefully botch their PR in an attempt to save face. :|
    Anyone else notice how the ping looks lower, but the actual game-play is much worse?

    Who needs responsiveness in an active combat MMO anyways amirite

    I am pretty sure their ping meter is faulty and at best has very low refresh rate.

    @sadownik Their ping meter is faulty in that it doesn't tell you the entire story. When you have ping lower than 1k it's actually a ping issue, information is taking a long time to travel from you to the server and vice versa. However, when you start seeing those ridiculous ping numbers like my personal highest, 23k, that isn't actually ping. That's packet loss. Eventually what happens when the lag gets bad enough is the server freaks out and starts dropping packets like mad, which is why lots of people crash and DC when the lag gets so bad. The way the game is coded makes it so the server can't handle packet loss at all.

    TLDR: High as **** ping isn't actually ping, it's packet loss.

    Last night my ping said 180, when I let go of block it dropped 3 seconds later.

    Well, yesterday I had fun trying to help defend with a large part of all three Alliances at a single keep. Happened twice in an hour or so. Invisible enemy players, invisible siege, DoTs from siege not showing up on health bar (just falling over dead), and health desynchs. The default scrolling text added would showed "rooted" when I tossed mines in the direction I thought the enemy was based on what other allies were saying/doing. Lots of garbage deaths caused by these problems. Using /reloadui helped some but took forever in loading screens. Later outside of such battles still had a freeze/crash or two.

    ZOS says that their small steady changes have shown significant improvement but they still have a long way to go and are always working on new ways to optimize, so, I don't think they believe that lag on server gets worse over time.

    I think its because people eventually farm the new gear that comes out and with so many proc's/bonuses firing off everywhere simultaneously it becomes a nightmare. When DB was fresh the lag was noticably better, but then people got their gear and we're back to square one.
    Its like they actually do fix their code/servers but then some genius decides to add more stress on servers via Items/Gear/Pot/Poisons/More calculations

    At this rate, I'm expecting a fully functional game in 2028.

    The "worst case scenario" nowadays isn't as bad as it used to be, but the frequency of bad latency is still very common. Pretty much every single day during prime time.

    @ZOS_BrianWheeler gotta bring the server pop down until performance is better. Open 1 more campaign - lower pop cap by about 20%. Performance and gameplay will be greatly improved. Please end the suffering of those pop locked campaigns. They are unplayable.

    Based on how bad the performance in Cyrodiil is with only a few hundred players online across all of Cyrodiil, one tamriel is going to be an utter bust.

    I love this game but I'm not sure how much longer I'll be playing it. Which really makes me sad.
    My wife complains that I never listen to her. (Or something like that.)
