    Tbh there has been that much exploting, emp-trading and so on on every single side of every single campain on both (us/eu) servers that they should just finish the campains with no reward or whatsoever compensation for anyone.

    Since all those players who didnt participate on any action like we above mentioned would get punished for playing legit anyways if those rewards / compensations are granted, i'd say punish all those exploiters too through showing them that all their efforts to exploit skills and mechanics in order to get the most AP have been nothing but a waste of time and effort.

    Just like playing legit and hoping to stay on the top leaderboard ranks was a waste of time and effort for all the legit players out there ...

    i was 5th inline for emperor on scourge campaign, so basicly when it was deleted i got nothing for rewards and the dev said no one on that campaign will get rewards. but here the exploiters get rewarded for exploit AP gain?

    Back in the Good Old Days in DAoC a GM would have spawned a group of Level-109-Guards (players could reach only level 50) and they would have killed any exploiter instantly. Nowadays there seems to be no simple solution anymore ... :(

    I think it is a little unfair to assume every time someone chains someone up to the spawn are athat it is automatically exploiting. It could be that the enemy pushed pass the gate and are gathering outside of the spawn area and then someone that is uh.. not so smart chains a v12 up to try to kill him but gets killed and now the v12 is in the spawn area killing ppl.

    We found the gremlins keeping Daggerfall guards from showing up at the gates and they'll be back by this afternoon. We are digging into why the teleport/kill zone isn't functioning in spawn in locations for Daggerfall at this time.

    Would be nice to see some GM staff actively online for this one.

    Nah, it's not hilarious. It's pathetic. We're over 3 months into the game and it's still in a beta state.

    They are also doing this on Wabbajack with DC doing it to EP. Killed like 40 players in the north morrowind gate.

    Seems they can run over to the wayshrine and "discover" it. Then just continuoiusly warp in.

    Okay, so the only way to do this if the gate is closed is to have an enemy character pull you in. We're going to fix this as soon as possible, but just because it's currently allowing exploiting doesn't mean it's okay to do. If you see players from your alliance actively pulling people over the gate to bring them into your spawner area where they otherwise would not be able to go, please report them for exploiting.

    The terrain-based issue is not. We're working to get both fixed as quickly as possible, as Brian stated a few posts above.

    @ZOS_JessicaFolsom I'm trying to remain civil here, but it's hard.

    I'm not a PVPer so per se this is entirely irrelevant to me, but this sums up the problem I have with ZOS and most other MMO devs: apparently totally arbitrary declarations of 'exploit' or not.

    BOTH are clearly nothing like WAI yet you somehow come up with a decision that one IS and the other ISN'T an 'exploit'

    Since exploits by definition .. or at least, by any definition I am aware of .. are making use of broken mechanics how can SOME be 'exploits' while others not.

    It's no wonder there's so much 'abuse early, abuse often' going in in ESO, so much isn't WAI and only fools pass up the chance to benefit from some weakness is there's a serious doubt it's 'not allowed'.

    Hi, first of all thank for looking into these things and taking the heat in here upon you.

    Some time ago, several people abused a faulty game mechanic (guildbank) in order to gain an unfair advantage over others while duping items. These people (thanks god ...) have been punished for their actions since it was considered as exploiting.

    Now and here, we got several people abusing a faulty created map (in wide terms a "game-mechanic" too especially if you keep in mind the scroll-teleport issue) in order to gain an unfair advantage over others while farming AP for personal and alliance benefits and regarding to your statement this is not an exploit.

    Would you be so kind and explain me the difference between both and therefore why the latter isnt considered as "exploiting" ?

    There were a lot of excited ppl last night with the discovery of the wayshrine event in wabba. Ganking and getting the free skyshards. Dieing then porting back in "behind enemy lines". Even reports of forward camps going up to increase the influx of players : o

    Seriously?? Are you kidding me? It's not an exploit to enter our scroll area without taking a single keep and make off with our scroll? What the hell is going on with you Zenimax??

    I think what they're saying is that people using simply their spacebar and the broken gate terrain are not 'exploiting' because that's a ZOS fail, whereas those actively yanking others over the gate are - but this we already knew.

    In other words, no banhammers because ZOS failed to move the tiles in the wrong places : /

    Personally I think those who actually used the forward camps in the area the strongest candidates for disciplinary action. Those getting in by jumping... wellll it is not technically against TOS, even if it is a *** thing to do.

    Out of curiosity, was it both or just one gate affected?

    The case of getting inside where you can't go to kill players you shouldn't be able to reach can be considered an exploit.

    It's a very grey area. We acknowledge that the terrain issue is a bug that we need to fix, and are working on doing so as soon as possible.

    If the terrain issue is a bug and people used that bug to their advantage, then it's,by definition, exploiting. I really cannot justify a sub to a company that shows utter incompetence at handling an MMO. I don't care which faction did the "terrain issue" exploit; red,blue, yellow, they all need a time out and to be penalized. Otherwise, it's opening the floodgates for yet more exploiting because these exploiters got a free pass.
