Or, perhaps, it's because this is an elder scrolls game and ES has always been more about skills and not about classes. Better late than never, and all that.
Can we stop using this trite argument already? I would think the fact that ESO has multiplayer and the mainline TES games don't would make it obvious enough that it's a different genre, and therefore you naturally have to have some differences in mechanics. Was anyone seriously complaining about the fact that Legends didn't have skills for various schools of magic? Did anyone eschew Redguard because you couldn't play it as a Bosmer?
Nobody cares if you want to mod in a godmode OP setup for your Skyrim character. People all think it's really funny when you stack alchemy and enchanting so hard you crash your computer in Morrowind. It's a solo game, do whatever makes you happy.
But if other people are around, you can't throw balance out the window anymore. There have to be some rules for the world since you have to share it with others.
If you want the solo RPG experience, go play a solo RPG. But what you shouldn't do is try to make the only TES series MMO into another solo experience by driving out anyone who is into competitive play due to abysmal balance.
And on top of that, Subclassing doesn't even preclude having balance... but that means the devs actually have to balance it instead of just coming back with their "we're still collecting data" line. What data are you collecting at this point, the number of players who have left in frustration?

In some aspects there are some edge cases which does not sound nice in my opinion.
For example lets say you are playing a pure Sorcerer, one of the class passives gives you %6 spell critical rating when you activate a skill from a skill line. Similar thing exist in Nightblade as well but that gives you %6 weapon critical rating.
Now lets say you are playing a stamina sorcerer and using weapon power potions. Lets say you have X weapon critical rating and Y spell critical. In almost all cases your spell and weapon critical rating will be same without any external buffs applied. So X = Y we can say.
When you activate that passive from sorcerer your spell critical will be Y+6 but you are using weapon power potions, then your weapon critical will be X+12 but hybridization changed the calculation to account the highest value of the two. So you effectively waste your class passive. (X+12) > (Y+6)
Of course you can slot a skill that grants both of these +%12 critical change buffs such as Mage Light but still the existence of above calculation feels odd and can be fixed by making potion give both buffs.

I really wish it was easier to figure out what helps my character the most when trying to make a build. It was already difficult enough that I had to turn to streamers for any and all effective builds I ever wanted to play, with subclassing, that problem will only become worse.
I love the idea of it. I just wish it was easier to figure out what made a good build a lot easier.

For example, there is still buff food which buffs either Magicka or Stamina, not both. And there are sets that buff either Magicka (recovery) or Stamina (recovery), while other sets buff both magic and weapon power.

I can confirm that the bar swap issue is happening to me as well.
Very often the swap between front and back bar simply does not trigger – sometimes I need to press multiple times, sometimes nothing happens at all.
This is extremely frustrating, especially in group content where a failed bar swap can mean no taunt, no shield, or missing burst skills at the wrong time.
It happens so frequently right now that it really impacts the fun of playing.

The OP's suggestion had nothing to do with replacing GH. They specifically said "alongside Grey Host." GH would still be there for you and Vengeance's critics. That you still object speaks volumes. You're just going to come onto these forums update after update after update always complaining about how much you hate Vengeance and will accept nothing else, even when your precious GH is still there for you to play. Vengeance's critics whine about being forced to played Vengeance, but they have no problem forcing the rest of us to stay in broken GH.
