well the game will be fun for one more day I guess. I wish we could have more difficult solo experiences like this :( I know a lot of people cant do it but maybe have a setting because i've been having a blast

Just make a request for them to add solo trials and other stuff like that, players need stuff they can repeat and having this level of difficulty locked into optional stuff would be great.

But having it on the normal questing area was too much lols.

out in the world things are still difficult... but in dungeons your hotfix seems to have worked.

Seems like some how the difficulty rating from vr 11 and 12 has trickled down.
I mean at vr11 and 12 you have to group. One of my guys took an insta death shot from a mob archer wasn't even a boss, but this *** expected vr11 and 12.

But my first thought was what a nightmare this will be for pugs in say 4 or 5 months when the majority of the community is at twelve and newbies without a guild will simply not get to vr11 vr12 when the populations drop on levelling worlds requiring three to four man squads.

This issue is still not resolved on regular world mobs.

Sometimes hotfixes like this require a server restart before they fully kick in. I'd give it a couple days and see if it's resolved during the next maintenance.

It's also possible that the mob stats have been changed, but the current version of the mob has to die, and when it respawns it will have the correct stats. Server restart would fix this too.

I guess we have to wait for a server restart. I'm still stuck at a solo instanced quest with 3 mobs. Unkillable with prolly still the same settings as 1.1.2.

It doesnt matter if it is fixed or not. I dont have faith anymore in zenimax. They cant do anything without screwing something up.

With patch 1.1.2, we got rollbacks, memory leaks, mob difficulty change..etc. Really? What have you all been doing in PTS?

All the problems, bugs and exploits from launch till now. Everything. Holy cow. Its unbelievable.

I am a programmer myself and this is utter fail.

But this just shows what a company Zenimax are.

You see what you get, kids!

    I unsubbed weeks ago.

Hey guys, quick update about what happened during last night's hotfix -

Any monster that was still alive during the hotfix will not have their pre-patch 1.1.2 stats until they die and respawn. We understand this means they are still difficult until killed, but this was the quickest way we could fix the issue without causing server downtime. Hope this helps clarify, and apologies for any confusion.

I do feel sorry for ZOS_GinaBruno and do appreciate her efforts to keep us informed with all the issues.

But shouldn't a fix this massive have been tested prior? Quick fixes to something that was not broken prior to the patch was probably not something we want to hear especially when they really don't know how it was introduced in the first place.

All you have to do is watch a Templar try to fight something with biting jabs to know how badly they can screw something up.

And, if you do, don't stand too close, because the mob might turn on you when the Templar dies and Quick strike you for 529 followed by a 1519 damage upper cut.

I wondered the same thing. Don't they test things before they go live? What about the PTR? How could there have been no reports about this? If I would have tested it, I would have certainly sent them a report saying it was a bit over tuned.

The other epic mistake they made was with the Templar class stealth nerf to biting jabs. If a single tester would have tried using Biting Jabs they would have been compelled to bug report it immediately. There's no way they would let a monumental mistake like that go unreported. If they have testers that can miss something like this they definitely need new testers IMO. Or, perhaps they just don't read the bug reports.

Perhaps it would be merciful to do a complete roll back. Do some more testing and fixes. Rerelease with hopefully tolerable results.

Aha, that was my speculation as to what happened as well. Either way, it will be fixed the next time there are server restarts.

Veteran content is already as annoying as it can be, to the point where I haven't even bothered to play my veteran char for days now and am instead playing with an alt. Any change to veteran content and especially a change like that will only make me personally want to play it less and really question the reason for paying for the subscription. Was fun while getting up there but hitting veteran content, that in my casual gaming time, and seeing that the fun stopped and friggin' grind and boring work started... Really, it all becomes less and less worth it.
