The real treasure are all those PUG friends who you met while was chasing the Calamitous duneripper all over the Parch :)

Well, I think the faction rewards have to be minor. Just because the winner faction is one that simply gathered the masses.

What I would like to see is something I could spend my favor on. That would really be the reward for personal contribution.
The current system "open for favor, buy for gold" has its own pros, but it makes favor just useless after 10k.

imagine how hard people would go in the NM if the reward was 8000 seals or something lol.

To be fair, we all got a free house, the option to unlock dyes and styles, as well as collect new Helms and shoulders.

And next time I need none of those things. Neither will a lot of other players. So we'll go in, grind out our 10,000 rep in about 2 weeks if solo, 1 week if grouped and then leave because there is no reason to stay.

The NM was really well done. I think it needs some tweaks and slight tuning, but on the whole it was great - BUT - it only works as a zone if people go there.

Hmm, having my favor turned into seals in, let's say, a 5:1 ratio at the end of the day would be nice.

I'm hoping they tweak things a bit so some of the trash mobs and bosses aren't quite so deadly. I mean, I got used to the fact that I was going to die a lot while trying to complete the district quests, but then I got pretty adept and running around without getting killed-- until they fixed the problem that was preventing the faceted enemies from spawning, and suddenly there were faceted enemies everywhere you looked. I started getting killed out of the blue, with no enemies anywhere near me, and there was absolutely nothing I could do to stop myself from dying no matter how much I spammed a self-heal and popped a resto potion. I looked at my death recap and only one thing was on it-- Escalating Howl from some faceted Argonian enemy that I'd run past, and which I'd already left far behind. And then there was the time I died to a calamitous during a skirmish, revived at the rooftop oasis, raced back to the skirmish, and promptly got killed again by the calamitous-- although I was still a ghost! It seems like some of the deliberately "challenging" aspects of the Night Market are so over-the-top that they serve no purpose other than to grief the players.

Overall, I really enjoyed the Parch, and I even started to warm up to the Skittering District despite all of the annoying spiders, so if the zone ever becomes permanent then I can see myself doing the daily district quests ever so often.

As far as when it comes back for the two planned returns, I think it would be good if they have different overland, dungeon, and trial gear sets each time. I realize that a lot of players already have all of that gear and don't need it, but some players still need some of it for their stickerbooks.

I'll chime back in on this with a couple of thoughts. Broadly speaking, I had a pretty good time in Night Market. I got a lot of uncollected gear on a couple of accounts (stickerbook was pretty full on my main account, so almost completely decon fodder). I certainly hope ZOS takes a closer look at the sets dropping from those coffers before Season Two gets here because none of them were particularly useful outside of filling the stickerbook and deconning.

I didn't feel any compulsion to grind anything to completion other than the three relics. I'd drop in for 30 minutes or less, melt and get melted by bosses (both are kind of fun in their own perverse way), collect my two glorious coffers, and go back to whatever I was doing when the number of group members started dropping off. For the two EU accounts who didn't unlock anything (never cleared 1K favor, I don't think), there is always Season Two. But the two NA accounts got the house and all three wings, one dug up 2.6 Shattered Path Signets (the last two leads just refused to drop, so I'll try to snag them in Coldharbour while I've got a character doing that zone) and one has all the leads, but lacks a character who can scry them (got a year to take care of that).

The end-of-event reward coffer wasn't anything to write home about, but didn't feel like a slap in the face. One of my EU toons got a Monster Helm set that they can't equip (still need to gain one or two levels - EDIT: it dropped at their level when they opened the rewards rather than the usual CP10+ for Monster Helms) and both of them got furnishings for a house that they don't have (Night's Den is not what I would call a "convenient" house, but I can at least dump furnishings there). The NA accounts got usable Monster Helm pieces that they probably won't use (but "oooo! Shiny!" as Ember might say), and neither was hurting for a house so Night's Den was mostly gravy.

All in all, I don't feel particularly robbed since I had a good time and it was the good time which was the whole point for me, anyway.

Well the rewards which we knew about beforehand were fine, But there should have been a addition of some thing based on the amount of favors earned.

That all being stated I did enjoy the NM and turned in multiple quests daily, earning lots of crafting recipes, and Motif pages that I mostly sold through Guild traders.

Well, I must say, it was indeed a lackluster reward. At least should have given us masks of each weight. For what is pretty much the overland trial zone where your experience will wildly vary based on group members' competence, just a singular weight mask and shoulder from the box made me lose my words. Because, I really did not enjoy being in NM. PCNA, non-NA primetime, you are very much likely to be in a group that won't engage with the boss mechanics and cannot be taught due to language barriers, and people thinking that the content can be easily done with dps fake tank/heal joining can make the experience sour real quick. I already run into that often when random normal dungeon gives me a DLC one which is easier than NM because they don't hit like vet trial mobs and bosses. Now, imagine doing a vet trial with pugs that will just leave instead of actually learn or figure out. Even if you grind through, sets you get are... things already completed in your sticker book pretty much.

So, yes, rewards are lackluster to say the least.

    Are people really surprised?
    Yes, they are.

That's how it goes with everything.

ZOS plans on making a new thing and says "it will be like this."
ZOS starts doing that and makes an official page explaining "it will be like this."
ZOS adds it to PTS so people can verify "it will be like this."
ZOS mentions it in PTS patch notes every time that "it will be like this."
ZOS has an official thread on the forums explaining "it will be like this."
When it goes live, ZOS has update patch notes stating "it is like this."
And after all this, when people see it is like this, their reaction:

I choose Ruckus, spent 6 weeks in NM, amassed 23k+ favor and only got the helm/shoulder in the end reward.
Others only snatched the house and got all the banners!

    Fair? Not at all!
And nothing at all for the 13k+ favor above those 10k ??
    I've learnt my lesson.

The mail is literally just a small bonus. The actual rewards are the patterns, furnishings, time spent engaging with with content, and of course, the house.
Not sure why anyone expected more than a token difference between winning and losing faction rewards.

I was in the Thousand Eyes but also got just a medium head piece and a light waist-- plus 2 each of 2 banners, and a little bit of gold (3500 iirc). Did you not get any banners and gold with the 2 pieces of gear?

I must say, fortunately, the rewards for the winners weren't much better than for the losers, because it was clear from day one who would win, so there was no real competition. Everyone joined the strongest group on day one to be on the winning team. I didn't do the same, but chose the group I found most interesting after the conversations (and honestly, before the Night Market started, I also wanted to join Thousand Eyes thematically, but I found the NPCs simply annoying; perhaps they're better in English than in the German synchronization).
It would have bothered me more if I had known that the winners would get some amazing furniture and thus been "forced" to join the obvious winning group on day 1.

Which returns to my question and point: I only have two things left to do there in the future. Get 10,000 favour for the other two factions. So what incentive do I have to go beyond that and spend every day there, helping strangers, populating the instance?

ZOS have mentioned on one of their livestreams they're adding some new stuff, and there's likely to be some more associated achievements... they didn't give any specifics or details though. So yes, I do expect there'll be more for you to do next time around, but we're waiting on official confirmation and detail as to what that will be.

Because the gold boxes are so nice (motifs, plans, etc.), my daily routine during NM1 was Skittering oddity (it's fairly easy to do solo), then either Skittering race or Parch race, and then with those two buffs, I can easily melt 25 enemies. The only caveat is that I have an alt account that shares out the race and oddity quests each day.

So... 10 oddity + 10 race + 2*75 oddity/race quests + 25 kill quest = 195 favor each and every day, and it all takes me less than 10 minutes. Over the course of the event, that makes a baseline of nearly 10K favor just from getting the highly lucrative daily boxes. It's an effort-to-reward ratio that surpasses most events in this game.

I didn't stop when I reached 10K simply because the daily boxes were nice and effortless enough that I kept going; i.e., 10K wasn't the goal, the daily boxes were the goal, and 10K was just a happy little side effect.

It's fun? I don't know what to tell you. I had fun playing with my friends, and getting loot from the gold boxes. I helped several friends and strangers get their relics, and we got a solid number of guild mates their no-death run in OO.

If you don't find the content fun, don't care about the patterns or furnishings in the gold boxes, and don't like playing with others than I don't think there will end of the campaign rewards enticing enough to draw you in.

I'm finding, especially lately, that I just don't have time to review all released communications so I actually had no idea there was a final reward, nor what it was going to be. I got purple box. I don't know why I got a purple box as opposed to a gold box. But I am happy with it, because the box appeared to be curated (or perhaps I was just lucky), so I got the last helm that I needed from The Ruckus.

Which I liked because I'm guessing that, because I only received Ruckus helms, I would have needed to have selected the faction again to get just that one helm, which obviously I don't want to do so I can unlock a different dye next time around.

So, as with anything, it's all about expectations. I was pleasantly surprised, so I was happy.

I totally agree that the final rewards seem a bit messed up.

Many of my guildies worked really hard to get themselves able to enter the trial, purposely to get the Monster head piece.

I did literally nothing and got it anyway, that is a bit unfair in my book. :(

If you want to collect all three weights, you'll need to run the trial three times. With this mail, however, you'll only need to run it twice (it's curated). Given how difficult it can be to organize the trial, I think it was important for the head piece to be just a little more accessible.

Getting this set in the mail was a big deal for me. I ran the trial twice, and even though it was an interesting trial, sort of unique, I had to pug it each time and it took many hours to get the clears. For others it might not be considered a great reward, but none of my guilds were organizing any runs (I left those guilds btw) and it got me stickerbook completion.
