You are more likely to earn the 1 million gold needed to buy the house, by doing the quests and selling all rewards to NPC vendors than you are to obtain the house via one of the reward boxes.

The drop rate isn't that low, though.

I have 3 accounts that didn't have the house, doing just the golden boxes each day, on both NA and EU. Not wasting my time with blues, and doing the bare minimum for the event because I have no desire to farm.

2 of those 3 accounts have now gotten the house, on both NA and EU. So that's 4 house drops, just from golden boxes. And it's not just me; I have a number of friends who have also gotten the house.

Update 48 is tomorrow but even if they install "part 2" they won't activate it until the event is completed.

U48 installs Phase 3. It's not needed for Phase 2 to start since that phase was installed with U47.

Now that I completed my Golden Pursuits and got the mount, I don't have to do this event anymore. :)

If you take the quest to defend a camp, at least on PS/NA I have found as long as I get there in time to attack the final boss, I am getting a Witches Festival golden box, the Witches Festival daily event tickets, and the Writhing Wall golden box. Three rewards for one activity! My opinion is if you are really short on play time for a day, you at least need to be doing this.

Positive feedback: I REALLY love that this is concurrent with Witch festival. I will say, these are the slickest, easiest plunder skulls I've ever farmed. The plunder skull tracker/timer makes it so easy to know when my loot will return... and having the Field Marshalls respawn every minute and a half makes the farming of my shrooms, spooky bits, and CANDLEFLIES!!!! so much easier.

If I have to take a perk from this event, THIS is it. *claps in a circle* round of applause for a very nice silver lining I had not expected. Camping in a delve has never been nicer :) I'm watching SO. MUCH. TRUECRIME!

Edit to add: I've also noticed the increased worm cult furnishing drop rate and definitely appreciate it, thank you!! 💜

The chance for a house is pretty cool though! Not sure if this also drops for those who already own this house? (If we already own it, maybe drop a token so we can choose one other house to receive. The ones already owning the house are the ones spending money on this game afterall, throwing them a bone could go pretty far with goodwill.) Note: Ofcourse keep this an extremely low dropchance, and like winning the lottery lucky!

People who already bought it will get a sellable loot item worth only 10k gold instead. No typo - just 10.000, while the house costs 1 million. A friend got that thing on day 1 of the event.

In my five guilds, two people have gotten the house. I have done the quests every day, all of the crafting at least twice a day, and the golden for the others on two accounts. I have not gotten the house yet on either account. Congratulations on your drop rate luck, but your luck doesn't suddenly make the drop rate high for everyone else.

As someone who bought the house previously, I find it really crappy that players who already own the house just aren't going to get anything. 10k is nothing. I'm happy for people who are getting it, but it still feels like buying it from the crown store was a waste now. ZOS shouldn't be alienating players who buy their products for the sake of artificially making a boring event seem more fun

They should have given us the new Worm Cult fortress/house instead. There's one in East Solstice.

Ive been doing 3 of the dailies for 3 gold boxes every day on three accounts.
That is well over 120 boxes and I still havent completed the wickersoul style yet. The drop rate absolutely sucks.
Ive only gotten 3 different ones and just keep getting the same ones over and over and over.
I think Ive gotten 3 shoes, already, 1 jerkin and one gloves.

Finally saw that the prices of the others I need are dropping to reasonable levels and just bought them
I am so sick of doing these dalies

The Stirk Fellowship Motif is a bit better. There is only one I havent gotten yet but Ive gotten 5 staves and 5 swords.....

Ever since they adjusted the meter for the wall event, pc na is only getting 6% a day. And now we have the witches festival too, slowing progress even further. At this rate, we won't get to the other half of the chapter until dec. This is one of the most boring events I've seen in 11 years, and we still have 2 more phases to go. I'd just like to play the content that I paid for and not have it locked behind an event that is trickling forward. With how this chapter was released, this is going to be my last chapter here after playing since Day 1.

Actually, I'd be willing to bet that the Witches Festival may boost the progress a bit. Because the Siege Camps award Plunder Skulls, so there could very well be more players completing the Siege Camp and Charging the Lens daily missions.

Nah. In stead of waiting for a bugged siege-whatever, with random spawn, bad drops and glitches, one is better off on base-game dolmens. Those at least spawn every time, have a pattern and also drop skulls. And that's just the nearest paralellism. What with public dungeons all over the place, many of which are barely visited ( dlc ones) , easy normal dungeons with 4/5 bosses ( skulls) in minutes, the occasional WB, who needs this second-rate excuse of an event? Oh and did I mention the Infinite Archive?

Of course there are better methods of farming plunder skulls. That's a given. However, when players decide whether to participate in the WW siege camp dailies, just the fact that they are now also dropping plunder skulls makes them a bit more palatable. Certainly more attractive than doing them without the added drops.

Myself personally? I've done the plunder skulls grind so many times over the years, I'm in danger of developing an allergy or intolerance for it. So I'm quite content to just get a few plunder skulls while making a token effort to push the progress bar. Certainly more willing than I was on Oct 22nd anyway.

your luck doesn't suddenly make the drop rate high for everyone else.

I didn't say it was high. I just said that it wasn't crazy low. As with all things RNG, some people will get screwed. I still remember the person who did 500 runs of vMA and didn't get a sharpened inferno (back in the days before curation, retrait, etc.) Was the drop chance low? No, most people got it with a not-insane number of runs. But that doesn't mean that there aren't people who will get screwed. That's just how RNG is. And while I did get the house on two of my lesser accounts, the account that I play more of and am more active on hasn't gotten it.

In any case, I have half a dozen friends and acquaintances who have reported getting it too. (And a lot of friends who can't get it because they already have it.)
all of the crafting at least twice a day

It won't drop from the crafting quests, at least according to ZOS's article.

I think that Xbox EU will complete phase 1 while PC-NA isnt even at 80% is telling at were each servers priorities lay.
