Now that I completed my Golden Pursuits and got the mount, I don't have to do this event anymore.

The drop rate isn't that low, though.
I have 3 accounts that didn't have the house, doing just the golden boxes each day, on both NA and EU. Not wasting my time with blues, and doing the bare minimum for the event because I have no desire to farm.
2 of those 3 accounts have now gotten the house, on both NA and EU. So that's 4 house drops, just from golden boxes. And it's not just me; I have a number of friends who have also gotten the house.
The chance for a house is pretty cool though! Not sure if this also drops for those who already own this house? (If we already own it, maybe drop a token so we can choose one other house to receive. The ones already owning the house are the ones spending money on this game afterall, throwing them a bone could go pretty far with goodwill.) Note: Ofcourse keep this an extremely low dropchance, and like winning the lottery lucky!

People who already bought it will get a sellable loot item worth only 10k gold instead. No typo - just 10.000, while the house costs 1 million. A friend got that thing on day 1 of the event.

I'm happy for people who are getting it, but it still feels like buying it from the crown store was a waste now. ZOS shouldn't be alienating players who buy their products for the sake of artificially making a boring event seem more fun

At this rate, we won't get to the other half of the chapter until dec. This is one of the most boring events I've seen in 11 years, and we still have 2 more phases to go. I'd just like to play the content that I paid for and not have it locked behind an event that is trickling forward. With how this chapter was released, this is going to be my last chapter here after playing since Day 1.
Actually, I'd be willing to bet that the Witches Festival may boost the progress a bit. Because the Siege Camps award Plunder Skulls, so there could very well be more players completing the Siege Camp and Charging the Lens daily missions.

Nah. In stead of waiting for a bugged siege-whatever, with random spawn, bad drops and glitches, one is better off on base-game dolmens. Those at least spawn every time, have a pattern and also drop skulls. And that's just the nearest paralellism. What with public dungeons all over the place, many of which are barely visited ( dlc ones) , easy normal dungeons with 4/5 bosses ( skulls) in minutes, the occasional WB, who needs this second-rate excuse of an event? Oh and did I mention the Infinite Archive?

Of course there are better methods of farming plunder skulls. That's a given. However, when players decide whether to participate in the WW siege camp dailies, just the fact that they are now also dropping plunder skulls makes them a bit more palatable. Certainly more attractive than doing them without the added drops.
Myself personally? I've done the plunder skulls grind so many times over the years, I'm in danger of developing an allergy or intolerance for it. So I'm quite content to just get a few plunder skulls while making a token effort to push the progress bar. Certainly more willing than I was on Oct 22nd anyway.
