I want to chime in and say that I actually quite like it. Just goes to show how individual taste is.

I wouldn't even bother to say that I like it or to point out that it's appropriate in a year where ZOS is putting a bit of a spotlight on the MQ and base game if it weren't for the fact that ZOS has shown a tendency in the last few years to pay a bit too much attention to "squeaky wheels."
I'm also loving the return of the 2014-2017 login music.

And I think there was no (?) ambient music? It felt suffocating. And this login screen brings it all back, and I honestly feel awful looking at it.
No way to change it, at this time. In the past we have shared this from players to either change the background or change the music, but there are some tech limitations to make that happen currently. But we will share this with the team again just to make sure they know that there is still interest.

It's almost like that is one of the points of Coldharbour, it ain't a place you should want to be in.

Coldharbour gives me the creepy ick and sets me on edge. It's one of the few zones I actively avoid, Apocrypha being the other one that gives me ultra-squicky bad vibes.
Now we're prisoners in Coldharbour all over again!
I loved the Gold Road login screen, it was so pretty and sunny, it helped my depression.
I play ESO to help me unwind and relax and escape Bad Things for a little while so I do a lot of farming in zones that feel nice to be in. Coldharbour is not a place that I want to be, and the start screen sets the mood when logging in.
Please reconsider and give us ANY screen other than Coldharbour or Apocrypha...?
Is that the OG background for the login screen, when it was faction dependent?
