Bump!
Have noticed this today as well, as soon as my Backlash hit lvl 3 it stopped woprking, literally does nothing at all. I will still have it on my action-bar and see if it works again at lvl 4.
Comfirmed. Backlash lvl 3 does not work but as soon as I leveled up to lvl 4 it started working as intended again.
It won't help if you don't explain how it's bugged.Blinding light is bugged
Thanks for the advise, I played without addons until very recently an have not been to cyridil with any addons enabled as of yet so they are not the culprit.@Tomster
1,2 and 3 are probably not class specific issues. They are mostly caused by lag. Also check your addon, keep them updated. And if some weird bug occur, don't hesitate to try to deactivate them one by one to see if it makes any difference.
4 The healing is innovative in this game. And it works quite well. But as most of the skills target the ally with the lowest health, it can be a problem for "personal use": here again, lag can prevent you from seeing who is really the most injured. It's particularly true in Cyrodiil.
There's no perfect advice, as it depends of your build. But you could use potions, Heal over time skills, preventive damage shields... In a few words, try preventive healing/warding instead of direct healing. At least try to mix them.
The skill "healing ritual" (group heal with a casting time) should not always be used to get a guaranteed personal heal. It's more a group mana efficient heal. It can help but it won't replace a personal heal.
"Repentance" (morph from restoring aura) is less situational than it sounds: in many case it's an instant group/personal heal at no cost. It works with all the corpses: enemies, allies, npcs. You can always try to use it without any risk.
5/ Soft caps are way too low. Passive stats like Armor and spell resist will only help a little. They are meant to be used along with active abilities like "block". When it looks good on the paper, it's in fact a limit to the player creativity when it comes to builds diversity. If you don't want to rely too heavily on block, you can try to use your stamina to move and position yourself quickly (sprint). Unfortunately , here again, the game punishes you with the lag, and many hit from far away will still reach you.
Templar is an interesting class. In a team setup, it can be awesome. But when you're on your own, it can also be very frustrating because in many case you need more abilities and more timing to get some good results. And the weapon switch delay + the lag + the overall skills unresponsiveness can transform it in a painful experience.
Alright thanks. I'll play around with Repentance and cleansing ritual a bit then.My build is very different as I'm a dedicated healer/ support / cc (resto staff/destruction staff/light armor). And I have no experience in large scale battle yet.
That said:
Cleansing ritual and purge should remove any negative effect.
Repentance has a fairly large range and dead people in pvp tend to search on the map before they "release" their body. And if it doesn't work because there's no dead corpse, you won't loose any magicka in the process.
If you want to maximize the chance to get a heal with the single heal, you should try to morph it to "breath of life". In small scale battle, you'll probably get a heal on yourself. But it can be a lower heal..It's still better than nothing at all.
From what I've seen, there's no way to ensure to get the heal on self. Direct heal can even target people behind you. Targeting the floor, the sky or an "empty direction" doesn't work.
Maybe an experienced pvp templar could help you better than I do
Anyway, I hope it helps a little!
