Like seriously how are people okay with skill styles being purchasable? It should come with the damn DLC which you ALREADY have to pay for. If it were free, sure. It's not free.

We are getting the Gold Road Chapter's Skill Styles for free, earned via content within the Chapter. The Skill Styles which come afterward may or may not be included in content.

It really seems like something that should be sold in the Crown Store — it's just a system of cosmetics, and the Crown Store is mainly geared toward selling cosmetics to players.

Any system about gameplay (like Scribing, Tales of Tribute, Antiquities, Companions, etcetera) should stay out of the Crown Store. Anything that's cosmetic, like Personalities, Body/Face Markings, Costumes, Customized Actions, Skill Styles, and so on can go in the Crown Store or occasionally be offered as rewards in-game.

PC/NA — Lone Werewolf, the Templar Khajiit Werewolf

Werewolf Should be Allowed to Sneak
Please give us Werewolf Skill Styles (for customizing our fur color), Grimoires/Scribing skills (to fill in the holes in our builds), and Companions (to transform with).

No issues with some things being monetized. Someone has to pay ZOS's bills and ESO+ subs simply don't bring in enough revenue to keep the game going and neither do the one off payments folk pay for a new chapter or DLC bundle. As such I think it is a good idea to have some of the new styling system shinnies being available for purchase via the Crown Store. Otherwise players like me, who are cash rich and time poor (and with the reflexes of a sloth), will never get their hands on any of these new shinies.

As for them being earnable you could flip that the other way. Let's say certain of the new styling system shinies are only earnable, say, from doing the toughest content in the game. That then leaves those players (like me) who are unable to complete said content unable to obtain these new shinies. That doesn't mean I don't think some of it should be earnable in this way. Much in the same way that some of the titles, dyes, personalities, mounts, skins, body markings etc. are already only attainable by those who can do the hardest content.

There can and absolutely should be, a balance between the two.

I'm not really interested in new skill styles, base game skills look good enough. But I would actually buy old Templar's skill Biting Jabs animation and visual, plus old Flurry dual wield ability animation and visual. And my nightblade misses her cool animation which used to be performed on casting Merciless Resolve skill (nowadays it's always on, so it's not possible to see this animation at all anymore) :'(

And my wardens and sorcerers would like to see some cool pet skins.

Someone here mentioned antiquities. It's not the same. You pay to get access to the area, not the lead itself. The only leads you can't get are from the latest area which you can get literally every other. Now imagine having to pay per lead even in older areas.

I mentioned antiquities because one of the posters before me said they weren't aware of any previous Chapter system that was monetized beyond the singular Chapter itself. Antiquities is one such system. It is not a perfect analogue for Scribing or Styling, but that wasn't the claim. No one said it was the same.

You're right that you're getting access to more than a single lead when you buy a DLC or subscribe to ESO+, but there are players who have bought whole DLCs just for a lead. It's also not possible to buy a lead alone from the Infinite Archive unless you have access to the corresponding DLC from which it's sourced. For some antiquities, getting all their leads requires having access to multiple DLC. And they all require Greymoor too.

I'm not sure what you mean by "the only leads you can't get are from the latest area" - to act on any lead from a DLC zone, you have to have access to that DLC plus Greymoor, if it's not from there. Harpooner's Wading Kilt, for example, requires you to have access to four: Blackwood, Shadows of the Hist, and Murkmire to get and dig up the leads, and Greymoor for current access to the scrying and excavation skill lines. Even if you got Murkmire for free when it was offered as a daily login reward years ago, you still need access to three other DLC, and you're getting that access either from ESO+ or from individual purchases of the DLC. That's how it's a system monetized beyond the initial Chapter in which it was introduced.
