    No..I love the grind!
crown store, crown store and crown store.....no, it's bad enough as it is with so much in the store as it is right now and we have less and less coming from the game as in achievements, hard pass
Everyone is going in one direction, I'm going the other direction

I don't love the grind, but I also don't think a token is necessary, even though I used to. I've found joy in creating 1 of each class and leveling it to max; however, I think paying to change your class is silly. I think it should be completely free at a shrine or other NPC. Or at least for in-game gold only and NOT crowns. ZOS is greedy enough, we don't need to pay them more money with more utility tokens.

ESO in reality should function more similarly to FF14 where we can freely switch between classes. That would be cooler in my opinion.

Why would we need a change class token in this case? We're all getting one more free character space with the new content. Not a valid reason for a class change token imo.

    Yes take my money!
Yes, but not to play the arcanist.

I've been wanting to change my warden to a sorc for years now.

The problem is crafting.. if we were supposed to play alts they shouldn't have made a system that takes about a year of realtime or more to complete. Sure you could ignore it, but then you have to ignore the waterfall of benefits you're just throwing away from the moment you start playing the other class, and overworld rewards is weak enough as it is.

The other problem is cadwells gold and silver.

Make cadwells and crafting account wide and i'd play all sorts of alts.

I actually enjoy leveling new characters, so I don’t need a class change token, but I think they should be available for people who want them. The ability to change one’s class is something that’s been requested for years, and I honestly don’t see any good reason why it’s not already a thing.

The poll isn't "Do you think Class Change Tokens should exist". You wouldn't purchase one, so you should have voted No.

I enjoy creating new characters and leveling alts, but I would also like to class change if I don’t care for how the class plays or think another class would fit my character concept better.

I do put lots of value on my time, that is why I do not want to have to regrind every zone, dungeon, delve, trial, etc in the game, again for the umpteenth time

Okay so you want the class but don't want to do the content?
Why do you wan the class then? What do you plan to do with the class if not all those things you said you don't want to do?

If everyone here spent half the time they spend wishing for a class change token, making an alt and learning how to play it You would have it. (Because lets face it there is no reality where if they did introduce a class change token they would give you fully leveled skill lines.) Not only that, the framework for throwing your money at them to not have to level skill lines and skyshards is right there already why would they self sabotage by making a class token?

I think you, and others, really miss the point of what players want class change for.

It's about continuing the story that many players have spent years and years of time on a single character doing. But continuing that story with the new class.

You can't do that by starting a new character without re-doing all those years of content again to get things back on the same level.

Like, I want to be able to class change and then do the new chapter on my main as an Arcanist rather than as a sorc. My main has done EVERY quest in the game, and it is the only character, of the 18 I currently have, that I intend to do questing on. When we get 2 more character slots, I will still level 2 more characters to various end game things, but unless a class change comes, I won't truly enjoy any of the story content with an Arcanist character because I have no desire to do questing twice and I have very intention of doing everything in the game possible on my main. That includes all character specific achievements, lore library, motif and plan collection, quests, PVP ranks.

We will now have 3 additional classes that many long term players did not have starting out. I really think it's time we were given one free class change token with the new chapter.

I just want to put my voice out also. I do want a class change token. I only play a single character since 2014 and it's now became boring using the same NB skills over and over.

Not a big fan of the commentary in the yes/no options. I would say I love the journey and I don't consider it a grind.

I believe that, like an alliance change token, a class change token should have a cost associated with it. Also, I think there should be a cooldown attached to it.

It's not about wanting to spend more money on the game or supporting monetization. Rather, in my personal opinion, it takes away a lot of the charm and "feel" of the genre if people could change classes every couple of hours easily. I don't think it should be a free feature, and I believe anyone who thinks this is overlooking the fact that ZOS is providing an additional character slot. That is the official solution to the "how can I explore a new class if I buy the expansion" complaint. If you want to swap, as opposed to start a new character, it should cost something.

I am not against a class change token being introduced. And, once I run out of character slots, it's possible I might use it. But it wouldn't be to "avoid the grind." It would be, for example, to preserve a mule character I made, where I like the look and name and I don't want to try and re-create sliders, but I have 3 sorcs and one nb and I want to start playing this character and make it a nightblade, permanently. In order for me to consider using the token, it would have to be a semi-reasonable cost, not the "what I'm saving not to level" cost since that wouldn't even be my reason for doing it.

What I am against, pretty emphatically, is a class change token being introduced without solutions for character tracking being introduced at the same time, or promised in a future release. The reason for this is, AwA already occurred, which catered to folks who don't like to re-do content on multiple characters. Those of you who play this way already got something to help you with your cause, at the expensive of character tracking, quite recently. It would be unfair (and a clear message to which portion of the community is the favorite) if we got a class change token before, say, the map tracking/exploration was even fixed. To me it would be the equivalent of ZOS releasing a year of dungeons with no new questing or any other type of content. It would be skewed to a certain preference of playstyle.

So, to sum up, I don't need a class change token to avoid leveling a new character; I enjoy that. I will use the new character slots to check out the arcanist. I still might use a class change token for other reasons and I think there should be a cost attached to it for the good of the game. I think if a class change token is introduced, and I am in favor of it being done, it should be implemented after or simultaneously with some QoL improvements for character tracking. Otherwise it's like rubbing salt in the wounds to those of us who enjoy the alt playstyle.
My #1 wish for ESO Today: Decouple achievements from character progress and tracking.

Thanks for explaining the poll LOL. I said that I don’t *need* a class change token because I have no problem leveling new characters. I did *not* say that I wouldn’t purchase one if they existed — in fact, I probably would since I tend to change things about my characters all the time — clothes, mounts, playstyles, whatever. So my answer is indeed yes, take my money.

And I repeat, class change tokens are an oft-requested item. Unless there is some extremely difficult coding problem with enabling them, I think they should be made available.
